The Cub are the greatest team ever. I'm kind of glad the Astros wont make it to the World Series only to lose to the Cub.

Everything about that makes me ill.

I did not realize that the 1906 Cubs share the record for most wins in a season (116, shared with the 2001 Mariners).

Nice job Musgrove.

End of one inning and the Cub are still tied with the Astros.

Cub fans think any ol' pop-up is a homerun.

Musgrove seems pretty unflappable.

Well, lets hope so...

It looks like the Cubs have a blue pig on their left sleeve,

Oh, I see. It's a bear cub. I imagine bears don't feel any better about a blue bear cub, than Native Americans feel abut Chief Wahoo. But I could be wrong.

What did Ashby say about a Julia Morales autograph? Geez that guy

Bregman looked safe on that last shot.

Bregman looked safe on that last shot.

It is possible that Baez's tag actually went over Bregman's wrist without touching him. But when it's that close and you're still a foot off the bag, you're going to be called out.

It appears that the Astros lost the memo, so I'll re-send it: it doesn't matter that Lester can't throw to bases. Ross can, and he does it well.

I'd sure rather have Bryant launching homers into the Crawford Boxes for us than Appel pitching in Philly as part of the Giles deal.

And I'm glad Aiken didn't take the low ball offer.

I hope there's nothing prophetic about that Houston Methodist commercial with Keuchel.

No kidding. It would be awful to see Bregman tearing it up for somebody else while Aiken labors away in A ball.

I'm surprised they aren't using Clowney as the Texan in that ad.

This is where I confess that I have Lester pitching for my SnS fantasy team.

Hopefully that's enough to jinx him.

Colby watches a 3-2 pitch roll right through his wheelhouse for strike three.

Sipp missed his location by 2 feet on an 0-2 pitch and Russell ropes a double that one hops the centerfield wall

Hoyt relieved Sipp and retired Soler on one pitch to end the inning. He flew out to center.

Why start Colby tonight against the lefty when the Cubs are running out two portsiders to start the next two?

The Astros have had the luxury of a number of top closers in the time that I have been following the team. That's how I know that Giles isn't one. It's not a big deal. Not to me. It doesn't have anything to do with Luhnow or anyone else beyond Giles. I know what a great closer looks like and Giles isn't one, not this year.

As far as Luhnow is concerned, I don't care about that guy one way or another. I'm just trying to tell you necks that his players don't trust him and people around the league don't like him. All of this should be obvious to anyone paying attention.

Last year will surely be the pinnacle of the Luhnow era.

Portsiders are leftys but yeah...
