Bam...love it. Colby Jack

So like I was saying, bringing Rasmus back ASAP is the only sensible option.

I'll take that neck over Gomez any day.
My wife saw the footage of the celebration and asked, What are they celebrating, someone's birthday?

I got you in the TZ thread!

You've always been down on Gomez.

This made me laugh

There are guys along the way who to me are Astros. Sometimes we do not get them or do not keep them. Colby to me is an Astro.
-
agreed. wouldn't have thought so, but these guys are a good team that seems better with Rasmus back.
-
You've always been down on Gomez.
Well, my disdain for Hispanics and my love of necks is well known so it's basically a no-brainer.
This made me laugh
I was laughing beyond the moment when she left the room in frustration.

Our very own Gwen did the play ball announcement tonight.

Yay Gwen! A TZ baby.

McHugh sure does like to keep things interesting.
-
I like McHugh

Hell of a play by Altuve.

Thank God we haven't corrupted her enough to say "Play ball, 'necks!"

Were you there? I thought she did?

Damnit, Correa sucks. No wait, he's good again. The GZ Correa game is tough this inning.
-
For some reason, Gregerson's choice of all black high top cleats and long pants down to his spikes seems so out character

Looked like it was going to be worse than that. I'll take just one run given up there.
-
Dude in the orange is channelling ybbodeus. He's far too sober for there to be any real resonance, though.
-
Even when Giles is having an easy inning he can't be allowed to have an easy inning.... (Drunk asshat ran on the field)

I told that story just the other night. Does anyone have a link to the gif?
-
In other news... It's nice having 3 center fielders in the outfield again!
-
Alright. Nice win.

It shouldn't be that hard to find but I'd have to be able to remember what year it was and I really have no idea.
-
It seems that as soon as my kid gets to sleep and I get to watch the game and get on the GZ it's bedtime in Houston... That or I drive everyone away.... I'd rather not know the answer.
Texas gave up 6 unanswered runs after leading 4-0. Now Seattle coughed it up. 6-6 B7.
-
A ML team was able to get a run off of Matt Fucking Bush... The Astros would like to know how...
Beltran's new hair-do finds a way to blow a great scoring opportunity in the B8.
7-6 Seattle heading to the 9th.
-
Fucking Odor. Walk off 2 run dong. Rangers now 30-8 in one run games, must be nice... That shit won't last in the playoffs.

Those bastards are the luckiest club that I can remember.

That means they've ballooned all the way to +9 in run differential. What a bunch of lucky fuckers.
-
Perhaps winning close games isn't entirely about luck. Or does that theory not fit the advanced metrics?
-

Only seen him a handful of times but I like the way Yuli swings the bat. I think he may check out.
Rasmus will always be one of my favorite Astros just for the celebration last year, but there are many other reasons.

You can only sell your soul to the devil once. Their time is coming. That is what I tell myself anyway.

Perhaps. But nobody who's studied it has come up with a factor that correlates.

So when certain teams/players perform well in pressure situations, and the people who've never touched a baseball can't assign that some statistical metric, you assume it's just dumb luck? You are going to continue to be shocked then, because it's going to keep happening. Not all of baseball is random chance.
