Big game for White tonight. Likely playing for the chance to stay on the big league club. For at t least another week.
-
I hope we get some real umpires for this series.
-
Keuchel drives me nuts these days.

Keuchel drives me nuts these days.
He fits right in with the rest of them.
-
Wow a whole 7 pitches.
-
Gomez.
-
Gomez.
Astros.
-
Astros.
Clusterfuck.
This is a name association game, right?
-
There's some offense finally..
-
Runs! Next thing you know it will rain!
-
Ha, nice arm DeShields.
-
Ha, nice arm DeShields.
Rangers fans we're pretty loud when Keuchel got into trouble in the first. Really quiet now.
-
Nice cut, Gomez. Jesus
-
When Gurriel arrives and Bregman moves to LF, Gomez is going to find himself out of a job.

Fuck I hope so.

Why is Bregman slated to play left rather than Gurriel? Bregman's defense at third is irreplaceable. Unless Gurriel turns out to be Brooks Robinson over there.
As I write this Bregman tries to sail one over Marwin.
Vanilla snow cone. Jesus.

My impression has been that Bregman is more likely to move to LF than Gurriel, but I don't really care which guy moves out there as long as Marisnick moves to CF and Gomez moves to the bench.
-
I thought I read somewhere that Gurriel might also play some first.

If he can hit why not DH him?

Perhaps I'm missing your point, but it seems pretty clear that Gomez can't hit anymore.

Sorry I meant Gurriel.

Sorry I meant Gurriel.
I'm looking for reasons to avoid having Gomez in the game.

Lunhow thinks he's just in a little slump.. Haha

And on a very sobering note, I just glanced at the newspaper and discovered that Loni Anderson is 71 today. I doubt that she looks like she did on WKRP. I, however, am completely unchanged since my 20s.

Bailey was the hot one.

She was hot in the 80's. But weren't we all?
-
Bailey was the hot one.
Bailey was great, too.
That entire cast was tremendous, and the characters were wonderful: Herb Tarlek, Les Nessman, Johnny Fever, Venus Flytrap, Art Carlson. It was can't-miss TV for my friends and me.
-

Nope, never been hot.
Speaking of really not hot, can they please get Gomez out of the batters box. It's brutal watching him fucking flailing about. He has nothing but a terrible approach. Please, get rid of him.

Yep.

I agree on Bregman. He gives them the range and hands of two SSs on the left side. But he needs to hit enough to stay on the field.

"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly".

Yeah, if there's a squeeze on the 40-man roster, just let him go. He can't possibly figure into their plans for next year.
-
"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly".
One of the funniest things I've ever seen/heard.
-

They actually can fly a little. But not when dropped out of an airplane.
-
They better overturn that.
-
Does Keuchel come out in the 9th to finish it?

I think so.
ETA: I think they're trying to send a message.

I once expressed to a co-worker that one of my career goals was to have "an office with a door". As a prank, one evening I was outfitted with a "Les Nessman" office: the outline of an office made on the floor with yellow tape.

It's great that you had co-workers with enough on the ball to understand that.
-
What an excellent fuck-job for the Rangers. Two more of those, please!
-
I'll tell you what's great...a frickin' 3-hit shutout!
WooHoo!!!!
-
Odor making the last out is the cherry on top.
Hope this starts the ball rolling again.
-
Great win. Does an RBI-single in 4 ABs keep White on the roster. Find out tomorrow

It was lovely seeing Keuchel back in form. Just when we needed him. Biggest win of the year so far. Maybe more so because of the struggles the Astros have had against the Rangers.

He was dialed in. There were some Rangers fans behind me and I heard them saying "That looks like the Keuchel we saw last year".

Definitely. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
