Jose Rosario died last night in the Dominican Republic from a motorcycle accident. The 20-year old was signed as an 18-year old free agent in 2013 and split 2015 between the DSL and GCL. RIP

Senseless tragedy. Motorcycles are nothing but trouble for athletes. If I was a big league player, you'd never ever see me on one of those things because they're unsafe in my opinion /ducks/. Of course, you wouldn't see me riding one except occasionally as a passenger off of the road. RIP

I agree with your statement for kids in the US where cars are readily available. He was signed as an 18 year old so he probably got a very small bonus and a motorcycle was probably what he could afford. Sad story.

You're right. It's still a gut-wrenching story of a life snuffed out way too early.
