Someone please post the lineups. I am in Washington DC and on my phone.

Forget the lineups. Fox has already made it official - Royals win.
-
Altus with a lead off single to LF.
-
Altus with a lead off single to LF.
I think that you must be hallucinating. Ventura is unhittable.
-
"This is what the Astros do"
-
Springer walked. Altuve to 2nd.
-
Correa singles to LF, bases juiced, no outs.
-
What's what I love about this team: it's great situational hitting.
-
Altuve- single to left center
Springer- 9 pitch walk
Correa- 0-2, then five more pitches, single to left Bases loaded no outs.
Rasmus- grounder to second. 2B had to dive, only play at first. RBI
Gattis- 6-3, RBI
Valbuena- 3 pitch K
2-0 Astros going to the bottom of the first
-
Big there w what we are often not good at - don't strike out, put ball in play for one run. Productive outs. Nice job by Rasmus and Gattis.
-
What's what I love about this team: it's great situational hitting.
I love their selectivity and patient at-bats.
-
I'm watching the Korean feed and I'm assuming the announcers are way better than whoever is doing the game in America.
-
They better get their runs early before Ventura settles in.
-

The play by play is good.
Smoltz and Pierzynski, assholes that they are, seem to be good as well.
-
Commentary seems acceptable. The Fox Sports1 app however is having a tougher time of it.
-
What's up with the weather.
-
I am listening to this one. That KC crowd is noisy.
-
Kim and Kim are doing a good job with the commentary.
-
I am listening to this one. That KC crowd is noisy.
Not there, but it seems louder than NYC. Could be mic balance though.
-
What's up with the weather.
Light rain predicted from 7:15 to 7:45ish
-
That stadium is packed, blue, and thrilled to have their city on the national stage.
-
Ford going through the litany of Royals stats with two outs...I am horrified.
-
What have I missed
-
Escobar- 5-3
Zobrist- single to right
steal. throw very high.
Cain- 5-3
Hosmer- 3u
Rain since the middle of Cain's atbat. 25 or 26 pitches for McHugh
I'm done with this, if anyone cares. My nine-month-old needs attention.
-

Carter plays baseball similar to the way I make love.
With little or no effort.
-
Or, slow and sloppy.
-
Carter plays baseball similar to the way I make love.
With little or no effort.
This. Yet occasionally hits a big home run.
-
Jake marisnick is my hero.
-
Yes Way Jose!
-
Astros playing small ball..........................
-
Wow Hoo, hustle baby!
-
Jake marisnick is my hero.
The Korean announcers were very excited about his speed.
-
Anybody else think Springer MIGHT have been safe?
-
Carter high fly out to LF
Castro Ks
Marisnick 2 out double,
Altuve 2 out double, scores Marisnick.
Springer with a high hopper to short that he almost beats.
Astros 3 Royals 0
-
Morales leads off the bottom of the 2nd with a HR to RF. Astros 3 Royals 1.
-
Moose Tacos grounds out to first for the first out in bottom of the 2nd.
-
Is there a way to shut these announcers up for 10 seconds ............please!
-
Perez grounds out to first base. 2 outs.
-
Rain's coming down.
-
Moose Tacos grounds out to first for the first out in bottom of the 2nd.
My read of McHugh is that he is one cool customer.
Also, why Moose Tacos? I love it, but why?
-
The coming rain delay means more hours of Evan Williams and Lone Star.
I'm ready for the Apocalpyse.
-
Gordon makes out three with a 4-3 ground out.
End of 2 Astros 3 Royals 1
-
My read of McHugh is that he is one cool customer.

Why not?

Fair enough.

Auto correct? Maybe not.

Reminds me of my wife's nickname for Hunter Pence back in the day. "Underpants"
-
Well shit here comes a rain delay. It'll be interesting to see how Korean TV handles rain delays.
-
Royal grounds crew = Hillary supporter!
-
So how long would the rain delay have to be to replace Collin?
-
Thanks Texans

Curious lineup for the Yankees tonight (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CQ1cpK4U8AAfHPs.jpg)...

Testing......1 2 testing...........

Looking at my never trustworthy weather channel app it doesn't look like too long a delay.

He looks like a corpse.
-
So how long would the rain delay have to be to replace Collin?
According to Dark Sky, it's drizzling and will be clear by 9 PM. But I don't know if that's 9 eastern or 9 central. I'm in the ETZ, but I told Dark Sky it was at Kauffman stadium to get the forecast.
Sparks and Ford said it's usually around the half hour mark that things get dicey for the starting pitcher.
This is interesting: if it wipes out the SPs, do we bring in Fiers? McCullers? Does KC hand it off to their vaunted pen?
-
What a stupid bow tie.
-
What? They don't have a retractable roof in Kansas City? They must fucking hate technology there. Bunch of luddite po'buckers.
-
Where's DAS?
Shit
-
Speaking of which--and not to get everyone's dander up--, I was listening to the Jays broadcast earlier and they mentioned that the roof was closed, which was the decision of MLB. They said the Jays had never played a playoff game at home under an open sky.
Score one for Manfred, at any rate.
-
It's probably cold there, right?
-
They didn't mention the weather either way. I was just up at Niagara Falls last week, and it was pretty nice.
-
It was a beautiful day in Toronto, 68 degrees. They're not a bunch of backwoods hicks, just Canadian.
-

68? You're kidding right? That's freezing!
-
I feel like the game has already started back up but the producers are hypnotized by Pete Rose and his drunken analysis.
-
Where's DAS?
Grrrr, two more cells just popped up to the NW. Hopefully they move just southeast of the stadium. It'll be close.

it was 61 degrees for the first game in Houston in 2005
-
Curious - when would Ventura reasonably be ready to start his next game? Would his 42 pitches be like an in-between-start bullpen session, where he would be considered on 'normal rest' for a Sunday start?

Anybody else think Springer MIGHT have been safe?
Me. Would've liked another look.
-
I heard recently on the Baseball Reference podcast that most starters aren't doing bullpen sessions at this point in the year.
-
They got time to Zapruder it. Game on at 9:15
-

Don't think we're starting up again at 9:15 EST love me Fox suggested. They better get that tarp back on.

-
Fiers has been very good for us - except his first game in relief.
-
Of course 9:15 EST playing the Yankees right?
-
Is it Fiers? Do we know that?
-
Strike zones seems to have expanded.
-
Strike zone was changed after delay as well
-
According to Fox we're facing Cy Young and have already lost.

6'10" Young seems to have HPU confused, because it certainly seems different (high and low) than it did earlier...

6 batters, 6 strikeouts, they may be right (about the Cy Young part anyway...).
ETA: there was a walk in there somewhere... So 7-up, 6-down via strikeout...

For fuck's sake, it's Chris Young, not Cy Young!

Here's hoping the top of the order stops making Chris Young look like the best pitcher in the past 120 years.

He may throw 86 but he's half way to HP when he releases the ball

Nah, somebody's going to connect on this guy. Probably Carlos.

Top 5:
Altuve singles to CF, gets thrown out stealing during Springer AB.
Springer: HR
Correa: ground out to pitcher.
Rasmus: struck out swinging.
Middle 5: HOU 4, KC 2
-
Is McHugh always this careful or is he just losing it?
-
I guess that mound visit answers my question.
-
Hang on coach lemme scrape the dog crap off my shoe. Now what?
-
MARISNICK!

Hell yeah!

KC pitching coach visit to the mound
Castro: full count, reached for one and rolled over it, GIDP to 2B...
Middle 6: HOU 4, KC 2

Castro is a complete mess in the batters box.
-
We're still playing national league baseball only Castro is the pitcher's spot

Bottom 6: McHugh back on the bump
Cain: Fly (almost) to the track in RF, Springer with the catch (1 out)
Hosmer: soft grounder to Altuve (or Altus via Tapatalk autocorrect) (2 outs)
Morales (2-2, 2HR) coming up, Strom to the mound to speak with McHugh - McHugh stays in...
Morales: called strike, swinging strike, ball, ball, soft liner to RF, Springer with the catch (3 outs)
End 6: HOU 4, KC 2

Altuve: soft 1st pitch bouncer to SS, Marisnick to 2B (1 out, runner on 2B)

Correa lost against 100+ heat and a slider. Castro was lost ahead in the count against a spent guy who never topped 90.
-
Only one K for McHugh in six innings. Still, a great job.

Horrible strike 3 call on Carter...
-
That's why you dive back to first with your left hand.
-
Castro's pretty worthless, isn't he?
-
Castro, did you not watch Carter's at bat? Of course he's call that strike 3
-
The only actual strike to carter was the second one. Knee high fb. Really wish he took a chance on that one.
Meanwhile Castro stares at strike 3 right down the middle.
-
Besides the HR that inning I really like that it means we see Altuve and Springer again in the 9th.
-
Thank god it's not neshek

Castro's pretty worthless, isn't he?
Nobody I'd rather have behind the plate right now.

How many 2-out, 2-strike hits must we give up this year?

I haven't seen the Astros much this year, so all I have to go on is my memory of Castro's inability to block pitches and anecdotes about Conger's weak arm.
-
Meanwhile, the Texans were at the Indy 35 or 40 or something, 3rd-and-2 with 2 minutes left and 3 timeouts, down by 7. However stands back there for 5 seconds then lobs a ball down the middle that gets picked off.
Oh, and I flipped a coin and decided that AJ would continue to suck tonight, so I left him off my fantasy roster. Two touchdowns and 100 yards later, I think I picked the wrong coin.

Never lost to the Yankmees in the postseason.

I know Marwin has replaced Carter for defense, but Carter made a few smooth plays in the field tonight.

Marisnick: Cue shot to 1B (1 out)
Altuve: grounder to 3B (2 outs)

I Cabrerra handle any more of these jokes.

And the fox broadcast was much more palatable to me than the espn one. I'd prefer one color guy (smoltz) but i doubt we're ever gonna see that again in a playoff broadcast.
I kind of enjoyed tonight's broadcast. The only thing for me is the constant strike out focal point, but I guess that's just gonna happen. I don't care how you win, just that you win. The royals only struck out, what, twice? And they lost.

I freaking love the idea that our young guys are having immediate success in postseason play. Altuve, Springer, Marisnick and Keuchel, just to name McHugh...
McHugh is 29. He must be the oldest guy on the roster.

Nobody I'd rather have behind the plate right now.
From John Smoltz on McHugh's performance "He executed the "Castro" plan... what I mean is he never shook him off and threw whatever pitch Castro was asking for. Give Castro credit and McHugh, they had a really good idea what they wanted to do... and did it."

It's Jed Lowrie at (I think) 31, I think Qualls is over 30 as well.

The Astros last 2 post season wins were to eliminate the Yankees in New York and the Cardinals in St. Louis.
Love.
