Title: Merry Christmas
Post by: Uncle Charlie on December 25, 2014, 08:50:46 am
Merry Christmas to everyone.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”
Luke 2:10-14

Merry Christmas.  My heart has been heavy this Christmas because of people I know who are hurting for various reasons and the Joy of the season isn't something they feel.  My prayer is that the hope the season brings carries them through to better days.  Hope is a powerful thing.  You may not realize it until you have lost it.

I will pray for your friends. If anyone hurts, we all do. I can identify with a loss of hope because there was a time several years ago during the holidays that I was hopeless. It really sucks and is a very dark place. Hope, once lost, can be regained, but it can take a while.

Why does everything sound sinister in German?

Why does everything sound sinister in German?

Hard consonants.  It's harsh on the ear.  It's like Arabic, which is simply a beautiful written language, but to hear it is like nails on a chalkboard.
