Castro with one out and the bases loaded, misses on all three swings.

How could Altuve have any fingernails at this point?

Hard to hit those neck-high fastballs.

Leadoff single by Kale Colhoon in the 4th give the Angles their first baserunner off Obie.

Immediately followed by an RBI double from Trike Mout. 3-1 Astros.

Oh my. High comedy by both teams as Pubert Aljols gets rung up on a knee-cap-high 3-2 fastball, then whirls around and does his prima donna act to the ump, sulking like a child as he stalks back to the dugout. But...

The next batter sends a deep fly to Fowler in CF, and his lob throw in gets boxed around the outfield by Villar, allowing Trout to score from 2nd. Awful, little-league shit.

Sac-fly scoring a runner from second is not something you see every day.

Obie didn't deserve that crap.

You see it every now and again - I think Ellsbury maybe did it a few years back? - but this wasn't a sac fly, it was a flyout and an E6. No RBI.

Trout had no intention of going home until Villar bobbled the lob from Fowler.

I once got thrown out at first on a grounder to right field. I think maybe scoring on a sac fly from second is the exact opposite of that.

WTF, I can't believe Marisnick didn't catch that.  Game tied and it shouldn't be.

What was in the pregame meal?

And another hit and the lead is gone.

Obie done for the day, and he's probably glad to be off the field with those guys.

You are right, of course...  apparently errors are contagious.

Brutal, baffling flub by Marisnick. And then on the RBI single, Fowler just sort of casually charges and floats the throw in to home, a real throw might've beaten the 2nd runner.

Trout now hits a triple.  Astros down by 3 now.  4 runs scored in this inning.

That's what happens when the inspiration wheel is no longer in the clubhouse for players to study.

It's my fault, I loaded it up at 3-1 right before all hell broke loose. Won't happen again.

I sure hope Bo didn't take the "Hang In There" poster (the one with the cute cat!) out of Marisnick's locker when he left, 'cause Jake is gonna need some reassurance after this one.

And now that. Fuck, he is terrible. If the Astros are serious about winning they need a major upgrade at catcher.

I said that a while back and someone didn't agree.  I totally think he can be replaced.

I spun my own homemade wheel and it came up 'Tenacity.'

Plus, I really enjoy listening to Ashby.

So you are the one keeping him a part of the broadcast.

Oh Castro got crossed up again.

11-3

Altuve out now, Carter just got a hit and I'm going to sleep.  This is hard to watch when you are tired.

We discussed this a while back and I agree.  While Castro is serviceable, he's far from being a cornerstone of the team or anything.  I don't get this idea that he's a major cog in the future wheel.  I'd replace him in a heartbeat, if an upgrade was available.

Oh Castro got crossed up again.

Speaking of getting crossed up...the other night in Denial League, I was catching the hardest thrower on our team.  Recent college grad pitcher, throws probably mid-80's with us.  I was set up on the outside corner and called a curveball.  He threw a fastball up and in and I had no chance.  Hit the umpire square in the face.  I felt bad, though it wasn't my fault.

Hope he was wearing a mask. A pitcher in our modified-pitch softball league got hit in the face by a line drive the other night... apparently he remained conscious, but he got messed up pretty bad. And this is with wood bats, not metal.

Of course he was wearing a mask.  He shook it off, but I've been there and know how that feels.  Not good.
