Man, I'm glad Altuve's on our team. He would drive me nuts on somebody else's.

9-3 now on a Carter Grand Salami.

9-5 now going into the 8th. Downs got Farnsworth out of a mess by getting the last two outs of the inning. Pitching hasn't been so sharp lately.

Update: 10-5 as Springer leads off the 8th hitting the first pitch over the fence.

Yankmes were 1-17 w/RISP today with nine LOBsters in a 2-1 loss to the Royals. That's gotta hurt.

Maybe for them, but not so much for the rest of us.

Jon Singleton hit a grand slam to make it 14-5. Bottom of the ninth.

Who was the last team to hit two GS in the same game?

McTaggart said the last time the Astros did it, it was Dennis Menke and Jimmy Wynn in 1969.

Both of those came in the 9th inning, in the process of turning a 5-3 score into a 16-3 route.

I remember that game.

Me, too. I think they did it in the same inning in Wrigley.

Singleton's grand salami was a thing of beauty.

Just watched it on Astros.com. When he gets a hold of one they get out real quick.

Was driving to pick up son this afternoon and had the Braves game on.  They were giving scores and came to the Hou game.  Here is the exchange that took place after they gave the score:

PBP Guy "I guess our trip to Houston later this month isn't a gimme after all"

Color Guy "No it won't be"

Glad to see the Astros have folks attention.

Since May 1, the Astros are 19-17. They have started to get some attention.

Niuce work, Reuben!!! I was impressed by the power that all three of them displayed. There wasn't a cheap shot in any of those dingers.

Now the rest of us are going to want two grand slams to write about.

1574 feet. That's how far the four homers traveled yesterday.
