Runners on the corners with no one out results in a Castro K, a Carter K and a weak groundout from Guzman.

I can't wait to watch JD rake.

Hoes tries to get Hunter at second from medium left. His throw in to the base skipped about three times before going between Altuve's legs. Altuve was twenty feet away from the bag.

It is absolutely incredible how terrible this team is in every facet.

Springer with yet another weak infield chopper for a base hit. If I ever see him hit the ball hard I'll be sure to say something.

Shout out to Bud Girl! Hope you were tuned in to pre-game radio around 5:50 when Ausmus graciously allowed himself to be interviewed.

I think Ashby has a bigger crush on Ausmus than I do.  I feel weird hearing him talk about Ausmus so much.

This team will have a hard time winning 50 games.

18 hits by the tigers at the end of 8.  wow, the Astros can't get 18 hits in a series.

I have a hard time comprehending how they can still be this bad.  I was truly optimistic but I see I may have been wrong.

As much as I'd like to think this team/organization is headed in the right direction, I am not seeing it now. I see absolutely no improvement from last year and this vaunted farm system is .500.  It's barely May and I'm losing interest. And I'm a die- hard. There is just so much suckitude one can take.

This is how I have started to feel as well. But I'll keep following them anyway. Sigh. A guy who we really need to be a good player, Springer, has sucked so far. Appel is MIA. ML Club is 10-23. On the positive side, Astros have the number one pick in June and will be able to add someone with a shot to be really good. They also have Correa who I think will be a stud. Furthermore, a lot of the pitching in the minors has been good.

It just looks much worse when we play an excellent ball club like Detroit. I still have faith, but it is beginning to wane a little.

My concern is that they had at least 2 holes at LF/1B/DH and all they did was sign Jesus Guzman. Jose Abreau is looking like a steal for the CWS, Corey Hart would have been good and not that expensive, but they couldn't figure out how to bring them in. I don't mind thinking about the future, but bringing Springer and Singleton up is not a plan to fill those holes. You can't count on young players making that transition easily.

It might have been difficult to attract players to such a loser. I think that the club is going to have to develop some successful players at the big league level and translate that into success on the W-L side before free agents will look at Houston as a possibility.

Well, it doesn't always have to be thru free agency.  Maybe they can acquire a DH/1B type through a trade.

True enough. But what should we trade?

It was bitter sarcasm on the Carter trade.

Shouldn't that be just about it for Fields?

With an ERA of 12, I've seen enough to send him back to the minors to work things out.
