I smoked a cigar. Does that count?
-
I spent the day rotating around the sun.

Changed the oil, poured it down the storm drain. Drove to the mail box and back. Drove to get lunch. Ran the AC good and cold today and will do it again tonight. Had the TVs on all day with the stereo, PS3 and the TiVo. Kept the lights on in rooms I didn't go in all day.

Attaboy.

I just spent a few minutes reading about the passing of John Houbolt. (http://www.universetoday.com/111424/remembering-john-houbolt-the-man-who-gave-us-lunar-orbit-rendezvous/)

You seem the most likely guy I know to have done that.

Cut down a treee and burnt a tire. Actually the 22nd is my wife's birthday. We had dinner at Olve and June. First time there since it changed from El Arbol. Pretty tasty.

I had a couple of beers at the Gingerman with a friend, and I walked and drove on the Earth to get there and back.

I
peed watered the grass last night after a few beers.

I drank four 22 oz. Bud Ice's, out of glass bottles, when I got home from work; glass bottles being earth-friendlier than aluminum cans, I believe. Although I am not sure about that.
They were only $1.49 apiece at Kahlil's, the 7-11 around the corner from my house. And they were very cold, because I had to dig them out of the mounds of ice Kahlil keeps them under in the big beer bin in the middle of his establishment, until I get there. Which is probably the main reason I patronize his place, which is capitalism at its purest in action, which I know is good for the earth. And it saves me money, too, which I know is good for something, on some cosmic level.
I drank the 22 oz-ers sitting on my deck, getting mildly fucked up while listening to the Black Lips and some other band I am trying to remember the name of right now. Turned up pretty loud. Fuck yeah! Earth Day!
And a few days before that was 4-20.

I called my brother who was born on the 22nd to wish him a happy birthday. Of course a year after he was born, he had his birthday usurped by the hippies.

i remember hippies...thought i was one in my maxi dress with a flower in my hair

When I was a kid growing up in North Austin, the Dodge City steakhouse on Lamar (right next to the Syline club, where Braker dead ended), they had an old claw foot bathtub hanging from the sign. It read for "flower children only". North Austin was way different than downtown back in those days.

They ended up closing and moving to Pflugerville. It took decades for me to get over that fucking sign. In fact, it still pisses me off but I don't want to punch them now.

Yep. You wouldn't expect to see it in Austin.
