The 30 for 30 short on Richard Jewell that was published last week was really good as well.

I've enjoyed the few that I've seen. I never seem to know when they are on. I particularly enjoyed the Ponygate episode. Enjoy. Great gift.

I particularly enjoyed the Ponygate episode.

They kind of glossed over the thing about Craig James killing those prostitutes while he was at SMU.

Yes, they did. I think they are saving that for its'
own episode.

I came home the other day and found my 14 year old son watching the Bo Jackson 30 for 30 on netflicks.  Made me proud.

The Spirits of St. Louis was very interesting. I had no clue that the owners of that team was still drawing money from the NBA.

I used to listen to those games on KMOX out of St. Louis back in the 1970's. They played ZERO defense! But they could light it up! They weren't very good because they usually got outscored.

I was in junior high in Denver in the (very) early 70s, pulling for the Denver Rockets and the inimitable Spencer Haywood. You're absolutely right that defense was in short supply in the ABA.

I remember those 148-141 ABA games. Defense was an afterthought because high scores brought fans.

The Spirits had some talented players, including Marvin "Bad News" Barnes, Maurice Lucas and Steve Jones. However, my favorite players was the feast or famine all offense (even for the no defense ABA) Fly Williams, who lit it up when he was on and stunk it up when he wasn't. Their games were fun to listen to.

Bob Costas' first job in broadcasting and he didn't suck.

Did anyone see "The Deal" 30-30 short?  It's always interesting to me how deals get made (both in sports and other industries).

One of the all-time great nicknames, "Bad News". You rarely heard reference to Barnes without the "Bad News".
