Great interview, I thought. Alot of meat on these bones.

Good read, sounds like he could become a serviceable big league catcher.

I just went back and re-read it since it had been like four months and I caught that Brady Rogers loves to throw the 2-seam FB. Hmmm.

In the few games I saw Heineman at Tri-City in 2012, I loved him. Mostly because I love catchers who can run, and he seems to leg out a lot of doubles. Honestly I'm a bit disappointed that they're trying to turn him into more of a power hitter; not that I know anything about turning college hitters into Major League ones. I just love the idea of a nimble catcher who can whack enough singles and doubles to hit over .300, AND draw enough walks to boost his OBP to a very nice number. What does it matter if he hits 12 homers instead of 2? Let other guys on the team hit the homers.
