Rushing through it, I believe that the Astros have the most prospects appearing on the list.

No, but the Cardinals (2, 12, 24, and 47) and Red Sox (4, 21, 37, and 41) each had 4. and the Twins (1, 3, and 32), Diamondbacks (6, 14, and 48), Cubs (10, 16, and 18), Pirates (11, 13, and 39), and Royals (26, 28, and 50) each had 3.

OK. Good stuff. Eight clubs had 28 of the top 50 spots.

Aaron (Duncanville): If Mark Appel was eligible would he be ranked higher than Archie Bradley?
J.J. Cooper: No. Our list is a collaboration, but on mine Bradley [Note: ranked 6th] and Walker [Note: ranked 7th] would both be ahead of Appel. He'd be slotted right around where Wacha [Note: ranked 12th] is on this list.

Jackie (New York): What do you guys see in Mike Foltynewicz that led to such a huge leap forward in the rankings. It can't all be the fastball can it?
J.J. Cooper: Not just the fastball, but the fact that it's gone from a league avg fastball when he was drafted to a plus-plus pitch makes a significant difference. He also has performance going for him as he's 4-1, 2.33 with a 3.75 FP in the Texas League and a 1.22 WHIP. He's averaging over a strikeout an inning and doing it with plus stuff. There's a lot to like there.

The Astros have 8 prospects in Mayo's Top 100: Correa (9), Singleton (22), Springer (27), Appel (29), McCullers Jr (65), Foltynewicz (67), Cosart (74), and DeShields Jr (80).
Here is a snippet from the article:
The Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox are atop the standings with eight prospects each. Houston has added four since the preseason list came out, the largest positive increase of any team. The Twins are just behind Boston and Houston with seven Top 100 prospects and there are four teams -- the Royals, Marlins, Pirates and Cubs -- now with five prospects each.
Having the most prospects doesn't necessarily give you the best system, because it doesn't speak to a system's depth. But a weighted scoring system can be used to look at which organization has the most impact or elite talent.
Giving 100 points to the team with the No. 1 prospect, 99 to the team with No. 2 and so on, it puts the Astros on top with 435 Prospect Points. But the Red Sox are fourth at 330. The Twins are second (397) and the Cubs are third (336). The St. Louis Cardinals, with 303 points, round out the top five.

I love that movie, but the whole is-it-there-or-is-it-not Rosanna Arquette subplot definitely hurts it. But there's a lot of quotable material in there, and Brian Dennehy is a good villain.

More of a debate than a list, but Callis and Mayo collaborated on an article where they chose one last-place team with the brightest future. Mayo chose the Marlins while Callis bent the rules, choosing two teams. He chose the Cubs as the team with the quickest turnaround, citing their advanced hitting prospects and payroll potential. But, he chose the Astros as having the brightest future, giving this argument:
The Astros have farther to climb than any of the other teams in the basement. But they also have a major asset in hand as they rebuild from the ground up: baseball's best farm system
That is the first time I have seen a major source choose them as the top farm system, though they have been in the top 5. I wonder if it will be a common theme in the offseason, or if his opinion will be an outlier. He also sees Rodon as a given, at this point, with him being a mainstay in the rotation alongside Appel, Folty, etc.
