Title: 2012 Organizational Standings
Post by: OregonStrosFan on September 18, 2012, 07:25:21 pm
The Astros top the list in BA's 2012 Organization Standings & League Champs (http://url=http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/prospects/2012/09/2012-organization-standings-league-champs/) (domestic teams only) with an overall .546 winning percentage and a combined 70 games over .500.

BA notes in the article below just how marked a difference this year has been for the Astros MiLB teams:

Houston finished last in organization standings in 2011, 29th in 2010, last in 2009, last in 2008 and 26th in 2007. No other team has come close to matching the Astros' recent run of futility.

Incredible turn-around. Especially when you consider that several guys in Houston really would be in the MiLs in most other organizations. Dominguez, Lyles, J.D. Martinez, Bogusevic,  maybe even Altuve and Wallace and most of the bullpen would still be in the minors if not for the desperate circumstances in Houston.
