Thanks, Appy. RotoNews didn't have the Astros lineup when it first posted the FTC lineup, but it has it now.
-
At the game again. Got a free cubs cap for target practice!!
-

Put in on backwards and then squint into the sun shielding your eyes with your hand.
-
Shit, Voltron is pitching.
-
Nice to hear Brownie in the booth.
-
Damn, Barney had Wallace played well on that one.
-
Moore with the RBI double to score Altuve, it's 1-0.
-
Weird that Bogey grounded out to second to end the inning.
-
Nice to hear Brownie in the booth.
I'm guessing Do? Ray? was pleased with itself after its TV gig the other day.
-
I'm guessing Do? Ray? was pleased with itself after its TV gig the other day.
I'm sure the headset gave him all the confirmation he needed.
-
Harrell needs to stay away from the middle of the plate.
-
Love Harrell's tempo.
-
I'm listening to the Cubs broadcasters, I forgot what a dick Moreland is.
I tried to listen to DoRay. Raymond fucks up the lineup and announces Altuve leading off instead of Greene, he laughs it off (ha ha ha good one, funny huh), then when Altuve batting second, gets a hit, the expert commentary by Dolan comments on how Raymond was, "just wanting to see Altuve hit", Raymond follows up with, "I knew he should be batting lead off...laugh laugh" These fucking guys together are ten times worse than they are apart. I think it was Sparks who worked the middle innings Sunday with Dolan, it was 10 times better than DoRay.
-
Is the wind blowing in? Barnes flies out to right.
-
Martinez called out on a low strike. Both pitchers trying to work low, with middling success.
-

It's sad when the FTC team is easier to listen to than DoRay.
-
Snyder grounds out and it's still 1-0 after 1 1/2.
-
I'm from the school that likes to have someone in the booth that's an ex-player, even if he's a dick. Except for that Hawk cocksucker.
-
I'd like to hear some cranky, egotistical guys. Dick Allen, surly, sullen and unpredictable.
-
Alright. I've been watching, but I was busy cutting up fresh cucumber and tomatoes from our garden and a little sweet onion for a salad later for the Happy's.
-
Nice inside jam job and then fine FB away to get Errormiss.
-

I'm just heating up a couple of those smoked hamburgers.
-
It's a damn miracle that Harrell actually has a winning record on a 38-79 team.
-
Nice inside jam job and then fine FB away to get Errormiss.
The Cubs have a new ErrorMiss?
-
While DoRay are probably talking about guys with funny names like Smardzija, Moreland was commenting on how the Cubs batters need to be stepping out more and try to disrupt Harrell's pace.
-
Wow. Looked like Rizzo gave up on that too soon.
-
While DoRay are probably talking about guys with funny names like Smardzija, Moreland was commenting on how the Cubs batters need to be stepping out more and try to disrupt Harrell's pace.
From what I hear, DoRay gorvel over the Cubs.
-
Wallace! Fuck the Cubs!
-
Holy fucking shit that was crushed.
-
The Cubs have a new ErrorMiss?
You're right, it's that bunny hopping fuckstick Soriano.
-
I just roasted some poblanos for the chucks.
Bomba para el pinguino! Strange, he doesn't look like he generates much power with the lower part of his body.
-
Nice hit by Bogey on the 2-1, but his pathetic swing at the 2-0 pitch is not what you want to see in that count.
-
You're right, it's that bunny hopping fuckstick Soriano.
Yep. He is a fuckstick alright.
-
From what I hear, DoRay gorvel over the Cubs.
You have no idea. It's incredible. One grew up a Cubs fan and the other called games for their AAA club in Iowa. The combined result is pure misery.
-
It's Mrs. Jack!
-
Nice hit by Bogey on the 2-1, but his pathetic swing at the 2-0 pitch is not what you want to see in that count.
When I saw that hit, I was reminded of the 1977 hit by Johnny Mathis and Deneice Williams, Too Much, Too Little, Too Late. I predict that this'll be it absent looking rejuvenated during spring training.
-
A little late to the party here... but... WAY TO GO WALLACE!!!
-
Harrell just hit 95 according to the TV gun.
-
From what I hear, DoRay gorvel over the Cubs.
I can tell ya there is a lot more to pleased about as an Astros fans regarding where the Astros are in the rebuilding process than a FTC fan should be about the FTC rebuild...
-
Voltron has a lot of lead in his pants.
-
I can tell ya there is a lot more to pleased about as an Astros fans regarding where the Astros are in the rebuilding process than a FTC fan should be about the FTC rebuild...
But they've got Theo!
-
Harrell just hit 95 according to the TV gun.
He's done that several times.
-
Wallace is flat scary at third.
-
Wallace is downright frightening at 3B.
-
Wallace is SPOooOooooOOoky at thIiIiIIiiiiIiRrrrRRrDddDDddD!
-
BOO!
-
F-Mart's swing looks better than it did the other day.
-
Volstad is throwing BP right now.
-
Haha! That fucking clown, Castro.
-
I guess Castro put down the uprising.
-
F-Mart's swing looks better than it did the other day.
Yep. His bat looks quicker this time up. Must have been the concussion.
-
I guess Castro put down the uprising.
Yep. Routine 6-4-3.
-
Fuckstick singles to LF opn a pretty nicely hit ball.
-
Nothing quick or fluid about Wallace at third.
-
Wallace starts an around the horn twin killing to end the fourth. This Iphone ad is fucking on my nerves. The clown reminds me of Regis Philbin.
-
Marty Scorsese, star graduate of the Quentin Tarantino School of Acting.
-
No TV tomorrow.
-
I'm going to have to watch the FTC broadcast tomorrow. Shitfick.
-
Can anybody but Altuve run on this team?
-
Can anybody but Altuve run on this team?
That was a pretty good throw by Castro. And Volstad did a decent job holding him on.
-
Can anybody but Altuve run on this team?
No.
ETA: Well, technically, I guess Bogusevic can run, too. But since he's never on base, it doesn't matter.
-
Harrell can run OK.
-
That bar was low, but I'm not missing Schafer yet.
-
Harrell now going sidewinder to get Castro.
-
17 players bitching about Bobby V? Hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa...
-
Wallace seems to short-arm everything. Uuuuuuuugly.
-
17 players bitching about Bobby V? Hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa...
Who could have ever predicted such a thing?
-
Another nice smooth inning from Harrell.
-
That bar was low, but I'm not missing Schafer yet.
I was JUST thinking that I like this team a great deal more when I don't have to look at that subnormal on the field.
-
Bobby Valentine is inciting a players' mutiny? Who couldn't have seen that coming, besides BoSox ownership and management?
-

Red Sox Nation.
-
I was JUST thinking that I like this team a great deal more when I don't have to look at that subnormal on the field.
+1
-
Swingin' Scotty Moore.
-
Bogusevic elevates one? Damnit!
-
Swingin' Scotty Moore.
Like most .230 hitters, he can hit mistakes.
-
Oh my, that was enjoyable.
-
Oh my, that was enjoyable.
Yes, indeed. Let's pile em on, boys. Make Jane Doe happy.
-
F-Mart!
-
We've got a number of innings yet and thus considerable opportunity for epic slapdickery but the idea of a crowd of drunk, wet Cubsfans trudging home glumly after taking an ass kicking from one of the worst teams in history does hold a certain appeal.
-
Fuck the Cubs AND the Mets!
-
FeMart got all of that one. This is beautiful now. 8-0 and counting.
-

It's the maggoty cherry on top of their rancid season.
-
Wow. I'm shocked to hear that the Astros already have 101 homers.
-

I hope that they'll be at least civil to Jane Doe.
-
Yeah kid, cover your mouth. You wouldn't want to give away any secrets.
-
This is not one of the worst teams in history when Harrel pitches. He gives them a shot.
-
Wow. I'm shocked to hear that the Astros already have 101 homers.
Seriously? Damn. I've watched almost every inning of every game and wouldn't have predicted that.
-
Seriously? Damn. I've watched almost every inning of every game and wouldn't have predicted that.
I think they have 25 guys with four.
-
That 3-2 to Greene didn't have to be strike, but this is an 8-0 game still in the sixth inning.
-
I hope that they'll be at least civil to Jane Doe.
I'm pretty sure she can hold her own among those goons.
-
I think they have 25 guys with four.
And they've all hit third at some point in the season.
-
Altuve ripped that one.
-
I'm pretty sure she can hold her own among those goons.
ZI agree. She's a half-marathoner. She can kick some ass.
-
Altuve ripped that one.
Eh. Bourn woulda had it.
-
Harrel reminds me a little of Backe.
-
Harrel reminds me a little of Backe.
He has more velocity if I remember correctly.
-
Harrel reminds me a little of Backe.
Yeah, a little bit.
-
He has more velocity if I remember correctly.
Doesn't hit quite as well.
-
Harrel reminds me a little of Backe.
Uh... hopefully not his pitching...
-
More lovable losers. Fuck the Cubs.
-
Harrel reminds me a little of Backe.
He's enthusiastic, he can hit a little, he runs well. But he also throws strikes, which damages the comparison some.
-
HAHAHA FTC HAHAHA!!! That is all.
-
He's enthusiastic, he can hit a little, he runs well. But he also throws strikes, which damages the comparison some.
It's the enthusiasm thing.
-
Harrell is carving up Rizzo inside.
-
Greene is a good addition I think.
-
It's the enthusiasm thing.
I love Harrell's attitude. It's the way that professionals should approach the game in my opinion.
-
Nice night for Scott Moore.
-
Hahahahahahahaha. Fuck the Cubs.
-
10-run rule!
-
This pitcher has a weird way of showing the ball to the hitter way early in his delivery.
-
10-run rule!
Only in little league. What? Oh.
-
This pitcher has a weird way of showing the ball to the hitter way early in his delivery.
I miss Sammy.
-
Who are these guys?
-
Who are these guys?
The latest warm bodies to stomp the fuck out of the Cubs.
-
Castro looked so surprised that he fielded that.
-
I miss Sammy.
[/quote
This. It was wonderful watching Houston prison rape the Cubs with Sammy the Clown grabbing his ankles
-
I meant Sammy Gervacio. Currently getting slapped around in the Mexican League.
Fuck Sammy the Clown.
-
ZI agree. She's a half-marathoner. She can kick some ass.
She can certainly run for more than a block which is more than I can expect from most of these drunk fat fuckers.
-
Yikes.
-
Chicago is a great city. I've known some fantastic people from Chicago. But good lord, they put some ugly folks in that ballpark.
-
Harrell could end up being the crown jewel of the Wade era.
-
If Jackson's eyes were any closer together he'd look like a Picasso.
-
Spiffy avatar, Jacksonian.
-
Altuve flashing more leather. That could've been either incredible (which it was), or another Astros circus play.
-
H-O-L-Y C-R-A-P!!! Shoulda given him the DP there just for its sheer beauty!!!
-
Spiffy avatar, Jacksonian.
Borrowed from them a number of years ago. No idea if they still use it.
-
Why not give Rhiner Cruz and some other schlub an inning apiece? Why try to get 8 out of Harrell here?
-
Why not give Rhiner Cruz and some other schlub an inning apiece? Why try to get 8 out of Harrell here?
Trying to reward him, I guess.
-
Apparently even cubfans do the wave....
-
Of course even cubfans do the wave....
Fixed.
-
Harrell could end up being the crown jewel of the Wade era.
I still don't understand how a pitcher with his stuff (94 mph with movement, good sinker) could be let go, granted he was 26 years old at the time.

I'm grilling some chicken in yet another perfect night here. It's hard to believe that I'm really thinking about moving to Montana.
-
I'm grilling some chicken in yet another perfect night here. It's hard to believe that I'm really thinking about moving to Montana.
That would cut down on worrying about the neighbors.

Good fishing in Montana. Lousy winters.
-
That would cut down on worrying about the neighbors.
And about Nancy Pelosi coming to take away all of his automatic weapons.
-
I'm grilling some chicken in yet another perfect night here. It's hard to believe that I'm really thinking about moving to Montana.
Gonna be a dental floss tycoon?
-
Man, what a night for Harrell. I wonder who's starting him in our fantasy league. Oh, what's that you say? Gee, let me check. Wow, you're right! It's me!
-
Gonna be a dental floss tycoon?
A dennil toss flycoon.
-
Anybody been to Grand Rapids, MI? Going there tomorrow.
-
Man, what a night for Harrell. I wonder who's starting him in our fantasy league. Oh, what's that you say? Gee, let me check. Wow, you're right! It's me!
Good for you!
-
Anybody been to Grand Rapids, MI? Going there tomorrow.
I've been to Lansing, but I doubt that helps.
-
And about Nancy Pelosi coming to take away all of his automatic weapons.
Doesn't Montana have a Democrat senator? Shouldn't Mr. Happy be moving to Idaho. Good fishing in Idaho, lousy winters.
-
Good fishing in Montana. Lousy winters.
Actually, the winters in Missoula weren't as bad as I expected.
-
Hell, if it's for political reasons why move anywhere but Texas?
-
Hell, if it's for political reasons why move anywhere but Texas?
He's hoping to see rain before he dies.
-
Anybody been to Grand Rapids, MI? Going there tomorrow.
I spent like a day or so there 8 years ago for work. Um... I can tell you that Gerald Ford was from there...
-
Anybody been to Grand Rapids, MI? Going there tomorrow.
No one's ever been there. Ever.
-
He's hoping to see rain before he dies.
Yeah, that takes Texas out of it. Arizona too.
-
Hell, if it's for political reasons why move anywhere but Texas?
It's called a job, which I need.
-
They have jobs in Montana? Cool. Good luck!
-
I'd go to Montana for a job. I'd go to Montana to tie flies.
This is the kind of score a real baseball team puts up every 30 games or so.
-
Rhiner Cruz closes it out!
-
It's called a job, which I need.
Small details. Here's the big question: what MLB teams claim Montana as their territory?
-

The Rangers.
-
Astros Win! I get to recap a win! Hot damn.
-
The Rangers.
Yes, Montana is joining the AL next year.
-
I don't know which big league team claims Montana; it could be either the Rox or the Mariners.
-
ASTROS WIN!!! FTC!!! SWEET!!!
-
Astros Win! I get to recap a win! Hot damn.
Everybody should get one.
-
I spent like a day or so there 8 years ago for work. Um... I can tell you that Gerald Ford was from there...
Wow, sounds like the place is quite impressive.
-
Wrap your heads around this one: without Lucas Harrell's record, the Astros are 29-71: .290 baseball.

Fuck the motherfucking cubs.
That's mine.

Actually, the winters in Missoula weren't as bad as I expected.
Missoula is a great town, I would highly recommend Boise as well.

Doesn't Montana have a Democrat senator? Shouldn't Mr. Happy be moving to Idaho. Good fishing in Idaho, lousy winters.
TWO. Goddam community gardening patchouli squirters. Fortunately their entire congressional delegation is Republineck.
-
Harrel reminds me a little of Backe.
Had that same conversation watching the game with my dad tonight, joking that we just hope that the similarities don't get too strong.
-
Damn. All this winning, and Brandon Backe talk really inspired/confused me. After all, 3 out of 5 (http://www.spikesnstars.com/2012/08/15/3-out-of-5/) is way better than 3 out of 30-whatever.
-

From what I've been told, I'd be moving right into the heart of enemy territory in Missoula, which is brazenly liberal, whereas most of the rest of the state is my kind of peeps. I'm used to living around the enemy, living in Napa and so close to over the top liberal Marin county.

Yeah, but there might be more people in those two counties than the whole state of Montana.

You're definitely going to need a pair of Birkenstocks and a tie-dye, that's for sure.

Teva sports sandals would work fine, too.

Looks like Scott Moore is enjoying being back at Wrigley!!! (Solo HR to begin T2).

Is there anyplace you haven't been? Like the late Hank Snow, it seems like you've been everywhere, which I envy, although I don't leave the country.

I need to see a good bit of the upper midwest, the Dakotas, Nebraska even. I've never been to Oregon, either, believe it or not.

I just recently made my first forays into Montana and Oregon and Washington if you count fly-through stops in the airport. I've been to South Dakota because I made a speech in Rapid City back in 2001. While in the Portland airport, I had the privilege of talking by phone with OSF.

Even named a commune after him. Chuckville.

Why not? Travelling outside the US is great.
I don't even have a passport. I've been to Mexico pre-911 twice. The only place overseas that I even have any willingness to risk life and limb travelling outside of the country is Italy to see Rome and Florence.

It's a versatile soy product beloved by many vegetarians. Don't worry, you can indeed get them in the good old US of A.

Yeah, but lightning storms are much more of a concern here in the US. Aren't you worried about getting struck by lightning?!?

While I believe that when it's your time, it's your time, I believe that the security just is shaky elsewhere. That, combined with a simultaneous love of this country and lack of interest in seeing things outside of the country.
-

I just said that it is my belief, rightly or wrongly. Clearly, millions of people, including my wife, disagree with me every day. I'm very conservative in that respect as well as in many others.

I think it's safe to say that you are a one of a kind.
Actually, a now deceased federal judge who was a friend of mine was just like me-he neither had a passport nor ever traveled out of the country. Ironically, he died at the beach after having been stung by something in the water (not a jellyfish I don't think), but it's been a long time since it happened and I can't remember it. But I've been told that before, and you may well be correct.
-
Hell yeah, I get all the tempeh burgers I can eat.
And some people even bathe when you visit. Ah the simple life... come to think of it, my youngest son is living as if he were in a hippie commune right now. It's called his "bedroom".

I must be the anti-Happy. I have just filled up all the extension pages in my passport and have to get a second set of extensions. Am leaving this weekend for my 9th overseas trip of the year.
You really should make time to see Rome & Florence, though, Hap ... and I am not talking about heading north on 195.

Being a papal historian of sorts and a devotee of Dante, if I break down and get a passport, it'll be to go there.

If it was called the Gulf of America I'm sure he would have been safer.
I fully realize that my rationale isn't rational, but it is what it is. I'm just more comfortable and happier in the good ole US of A.

I'll see your Disney World and raise you just about any suburban mall in the country.
