1B Scott Moore
CF Brian Bogusevic
LF Fernando Martinez
C Carlos Corporan
P Bud Norris
-
Well, fuck, Corporan. But that probably wasn't intentional on Morgan's part. It certainly shouldn't have given rise to an error on Corporan. Now Peen doubles home Morgan.
-
Hey, my motel room in Seminole Oklahoma has Fox Sports Southwest! Yeah, it's the Astros!

That's great!
-
Call me psychopathic, but I'd would really like to hit Braun in the face with a fucking large fucking brick. I'm not a violent person. Just something about him.
-
While the team is bad, it would be nice to catch a little break. That play on Morgan is just bad dumb luck.
These unis don't do much for me.
-

That's why he is the Peen. I thoroughly detest him, but he's one helluva ball player. He came in with a career .348 average against the Astros.
-
The Astros suck but that play with Nyjer is that extra bad luck the team seems to have on top of the sucking.

Especially since Morgan kicked the ball twice.
-
Holy shit, baggy threw out the pitch left handed. So, the rumors are true... he is making a comeback at 3rd!

Did he really? That's wild!

Yeah what's the rule on that? I thought that was an out.
-
Yeah what's the rule on that? I thought that was an out.
The hitter is in play on a wild pitch and is only out if the kick was intentional, which Meals ruled was not intentional..
-
The one night I get a chance to watch a game with no interference, they have to be playing the Brewers. Of course here in BFE Iowa we're blacked out for most of the NL Central because we can just show up to these games of course.
FYB.
-
Okay, got my obligations out of the way, now I can watch shitty baseball.
-
FYB indeed. Meanwhile, Bogusevic strikes out. Big surprise.

Wait a minute: you only get to be surprised by not striking out, or by not grounding out to the right side. You don't get to have it both ways.

Yessir. I would have voted for the ground ball on that plate appearance.
-
Hey, Wallace starts the round-the-horn twin killing to end the frame.
-
Think I'll drive into OKC tomorrow night and catch the RedHawks game.

That's always a great call.
-
We finally get a basehit on a bunt single by Moore of all people.
-
Got to love a bunt to break up a no hitter! Way to go OddChin!
-
What do you know? Bogusevic gets a ball through the right side of the diamond for a single.
-

I agree. Fuck the Brewers and their Cy Young impersonator.
-
What do you know? Bogusevic Insert Name of Astro here gets a ball through the right side of the diamond for a single.
FIFY
-
A clutch two strike two out hit from Corporan plates Moore to cut the margin to 2-1 through five innings.
-
Nice Norris inning.
-
It's funny, I didn't like these uniforms when they wore them, but I love seeing them tonight.
-
These uniforms are my third favorite.
-
Did he really? That's wild!
According to a tags tweet, he did.
-

What would you think if gold were swapped with stro orange? I can't quite picture it but imagine it to be an improvement.

That would be nice.
-
That's always a great call.
Except for the being in OKC part.
-
Nice homerun trot.
-
Except for the being in OKC part.
It's all relative, I'm in Seminole Oklahoma tonight.
-
Except for the being in OKC part.
I was speaking of attending a minor league game, not the being in OkC.
-
Man on third, no outs.
-
Man on third, no outs.
Contemplating how this gets fucked.
-
Greene to 3B with no one out. Come on, Pearce.
-
How about that.
-
Who is friends with jazz hands guy in the stands?
-
Gomez is a moron. Thank you.
-
Wow, great catch there by Gomez. But Pearce tags and gets to third with one out.
-
Runner on 3B with one out. Can we do it? I don't think that it portend well if we can't win it here.
-
Who is friends with jazz hands guy in the stands?
Dude's lucky no one's watching or he'd be a .gif on Deadspin in no time.
-
Come on Bogey.
-
That reminded me, was maxwell's catch last night one of the best you've seen this year? I was at the game so didn't see multiple replays. Bourn prob would have made it look like cake anyway.
-
Dude's lucky no one's watching or he'd be a .gif on Deadspin in no time.
Genius. I hope so. It will rival das's MDMA cat as an avatar
-
The Serbian Slammer!!!!!
-
What do you know? We fucking win!!!
-
I'm happy, but also kind of sad simultaneously
-
ASTROS WIN!!! ASTROS WIN!!! ASTROS WIN!!!
-
That was nice to see.
-
I hope Bogey gets his pension.
-
37 wins! That puts the Astros just one win behind their Short Season A-Ball affiliate Tri-City ValleyCats on the season! #OutWinTheValleyCats #YouCanDoItGuys!
-
Really nice to see those guys experience some joy out on the field. Great AB by Wallace to start it.

Amen. It's been long overdue for the club. Wallace's at-bats in general have been far better this season than last year. I'm very happy for Bogusevic because I really think that his big league career will come to an end after this season absent some type of miraculous finish.
-
That was fun.
-
That was fun.
Indeed. I kept waiting for them to fuck it up, but it just never happened.
-
I was THERE!
Bagwell switched the ball to his left hand right before throwing.
Tough call on the booted ball. The guy sitting next to me coached LaCroy at Uof L? And coached/coaches at San Jac? He said it should have been an out.
Very nice exciting win. The crowd was louder than I expected.
I failed at the fist pump attempt.
The Astros organization might have been expected a loss: Music for the fireworks came from 90's movies. Mission Impossible, Titanic, ....you get the point.
-
37 wins!
Just three behind the '62 Mets. Man, I hope the Astros can win four more. It would be asking too much for seven wins to try to eclipse the powerful 03 Tigers. But I think this team could luck in to four wins... maybe...

On August 11, 2003, the Tigers' record was 30-86. They didn't win their 37th game until September 4th. So, as bleak as things look right now, they were even bleaker for that club.
How about this! Speaking of the '03 Tigers, on September 30 of that year, according to bb-ref, they signed Rhiner Cruz as an amateur free agent. How's that for a move that "paid off" a long way down the road?

Agent Cruz, the bearer of bad news!!!
