Title: $17MM drug sting in Kansas
Post by: ybbodeus on July 18, 2012, 07:40:31 pm
The net they put out dragged in a perp in Overland Park who is alleged to be the basketball team's supplier of HE GOT WEED.

No comment from KU, not that they could at this early stage.

Not that. It's the second episode of alleged criminal conduct involving the basketball program in three years.

It just surprising to me that there is this ridiculous aura around the KU program and its players when the truth is they have just as wreckless a bunch as a lot of other programs do.

Haven't recent events taught us enough about programs with holier-than-thou auras?

No doubt, MM, but KU hoops avoids the bullets while they get or got all up in arms over their (previous) football coach's transgressions, "they" being the KU admins.

You're not surprised by that, are you? Double standards and university bureaucracy go hand in hand.

I'm no fan of KU but I'd let my kid play for Bill Self if that is what he wanted to do.

Thanks for the smile, Happy. I suppose you're spot on.  It just pisses me off that KU keeps getting by on this "Naismith/Phogg" thing of theirs.
