Must be one or two corresponding moves. They need room on the 25 & 40 man for him.
-
He says Marwin is in SF too and he expects Castro and Lowrie to the DL.

Is it Downsie's turn to be DFA'd?
-
They must be serious if they are putting Corporate Man back in the lineup. Jesus.

That explains getting Corporan and Marwin Gonzalez onto the 25 man roster, but who got DFA'd, or did we have an open spot?

They could move Weiland on the 60-day or DFA Downs.
-
I'm a little surprised they're not going with Landon Powell. AAA All-Star.
-
to be honest nothing suprises me about this team, but i know they will work it out

Does he play SS? We needed a SS.
-
Q is available, I wonder if they considered that option.

I think he was saying instead of Corp.

Powell hurt per Brown.

He signed with the Marlins a few days before Castro went on the DL.

Ah, well that answers that.

Powell back in the lineup last night.

I did. In my imagination the room was structurally reinforced to prevent disaster.

Jason Castro's rehab appears to be going OK, he's gone 4-for-5 with 2 2B, 2 BB in his 3 games. Threw out both runners that ran on him in Corpus' game yesterday. Levine wrote that next step is 9 innings for OKC.

I hope that they strongly consider keeping Corporan over Snyder, who hasn't shown me a thing other than being able to handle pitchers.

...um, isn't that rather important?

Don't get me wrong, it's important but only an intangible part of a catcher's job. In Snyder, I've seen deplorable work behind the dish and equally poor work at the plate.

Castro off the DL, Corporan sent down (sorry, Mr. Happy).

They don't consult me on these moves. Oh, well. Corporan acquitted himself well while he was here. I also like the switch hitting nature of a backup catcher.

In an interview on the radio today, Mills said they sent Corporan down instead of Snyder because they wanted to have 3 catchers come September, and Snyder could refuse assignment and would have to be put through waivers anyway because of his tenure.

That makes sense.

And a real ringing endorsement of Snyder.

Come to think about it, I think that you are right.

To be fair, Mills just said they did it because they wanted to carry 3 catchers. It was the host (Pallilo?) that explained the possible outcomes of sending Snyder down. Mills wasn't saying or even alluding to anything negative about Snyder. Regardless of how I feel about some of his baseball decisions, the man is stand up all the way. Imagine what Coop would be saying in pressers at this point in the season.

OK. Thanks for clarifying. When I read that I thought to myself that didn't sound like something Mills would say.

"It won't happen again" a lot?

Oh, that thought is painfully hilarious.
