-
The Sox are in red today, a throw back sunday.
-
Calls like that make it hard for Altuve to become more selective.
-
Altuve can't hear apparently as Maxwell clearly called him off. I'm just glad that no one got hurt.
-
HE GONE.
-
Harrell has hit 95 a few times today.
-
HE GONE.
-
HE GONE.
Thanks, Hawk. Or is that Paciorek?
-
JD puts a good short swing on a heater and muscles it out of here. 1-0
-
Maxwell drives home Wallace, who had walked and advanced to 2B on a wild pitch. 2-0.
-
Another day. More Kyle foolishness. Where's Megan Landry?
-
excellent..maybe altuve has the pink eye too and cant see
-
It was the ump who couldn't see on that third strike call on Altuve.
-
HE GONE.
-
The skinny version of Wallace moves well.
-
Thanks, Hawk. Or is that Paciorek?
Hawk. It's only so often I have a chance to unleash my inner redneck. It's not like the Astros play these AL teams all the time.
-
oh my another almost colision.. who is directing traffic todsay
-

El Super Raton.
-
That was really un-Snyderesque.
-
That's Dick Allen to you guys.
-
Well, that was a nice big bowl of fuck.
-
Our guys really don't like to pitch with men on.
-
De Aza has turned into an elite talent.
-
What was wrong with that pitch?
-
Who's got the nausea now?
-
Aaaarrrrgghhh.
-
It's "Field Like A Pirate" day, and CJ couldn't stick his hook in that one.
-
Konerko? Hall of Fame chances?
-
It's "Field Like A Pirate" day, and CJ couldn't stick his hook in that one.
OUR INFIELD ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH TO WORK WITH A GROUND BALL MACHINE LIKE Harell on the bump.
-
Konerko? Hall of Fame chances?
Decent, but I'd have to look at his numbers compared with some who are no doubters like Larry Wayne.
-
Well, that half-inning was fun. Not.
-
A quick look makes me say, "No way in hell."
-
If he can put together 3-5 more good years, then maybe he's a fringy Hall guy.
-
Konerko? Hall of Fame chances?
Yeah, that took me by surprise, too. I mean, he's been a good hitter, but Hall of Fame? Has he been a better DH than Edgar Martinez? No way.
-
Crap. Good throw would've had him.
-
He looks a bit like a rat, don't you think? His slight overbite and long face combine to give a sort of rat-like appearance.

Those Sox unis always made me think of peppermint.

Even without the long nose, he is rat like.
-
Konerko? Hall of Fame chances?
Ask me in four years. For now, I say no.
I've said here before that the Dodgers don't get enough heat for trading him for Jeff Shaw--only 'cause Cincinnati flipped him for Mike Cameron.
-
God damn, Snyder, catch the fucking ball.
-
That's two runs on Snyder.
-
Gave em another fucking run. Root fucking root.
-
I'd like to have that crazy meth driven father & son team go kick "Hock" in the nuts.
-
Wow he can hit that ball a long, long way.
-
6 of 22 hits have been homeruns
-
Darn, when Maxwell does get a hold of one it REALLY GOES A LONG WAY!!!
-
Wow he can hit that ball a long, long way.
Yeah, he is strong like Pence, but without all those moving parts and shifting feet.
-
Yeah, he is strong like Pence, but without all those moving parts and shifting feet.
Or the googly eyes.
-
Maxwell will need to be loose during his next at bat.
-
WTF. This ump thinks Jose is 6'5". Worthless piece of crap.
-
Yeah, that took me by surprise, too. I mean, he's been a good hitter, but Hall of Fame? Has he been a better DH than Edgar Martinez? No way.
But he's a 1B most of his career.
-
Maxwell will need to be loose during his next at bat.
He's running a tab.
-
If he can put together 3-5 more good years, then maybe he's a fringy Hall guy.
You're probably right.
-
Maxwell will need to be loose during his next at bat.
+1 I'd dust him just for that bat flip. But I idolized Sal "the barber" Maglie.
-
HE GONE.
-
Give Maxwell the Gold Glove now.
-
De Aza has turned into an elite talent.
He is. But Maxwell just robbed him at the wall. Great catch.
-
Harrell needed an easy inning and just got one. The meat comes up in the sixth. Do you let him face them again? It'll be interesting to see what Millsie does.
-
Some might be inclined to wonder how a guy at age 36 can hit .080 points higher than his career average, (hell, he is at career highs in SLG, OPS, all that stuff). That's kind of a "Bondsian" late career surge. Not saying anything, just comparing.
-
Anyone know why the sox are wearing red?
-
Wally!
-
Kenny effing powers!
-
Anyone know why the sox are wearing red?
Yes. It's a special 1972 throwback uni for every home sunday.
-
Anyone know why the sox are wearing red?
'72 throwback unis. That's what they wore when I was there in HS. That's when they had the artificial turf infield and real grass outfield at old Comiskey.
-
This kid Jones has an interesting delivery that you don't see very often.
-
They ever wear those throwback shorts?
-
They ever wear those throwback shorts?
Probably against the CBA.
-
Nice, thanks. The entered my consciousness with the sox horizontal bar across the chest jersey
-
+1 I'd dust him just for that bat flip. But I idolized Sal "the barber" Maglie.
I hated him when he pitched for the Giants. When he went to the Dodgers he became my favorite.
-
They ever wear those throwback shorts?
Doubtful. Bill Veeck is dead.
-
Probably against the CBA.
Anyone caught wearing that uniform on the field immediately assumes Pete Rose status in the eyes of MLB.
-
Wally!
He seems to have more of an upper cut swing this time around
-
That was real nice by Snyder. Big freaking hit.
-
He seems to have more of an upper cut swing this time around
He does. Hope he keeps it up. He would be a great addition to their future plans.
-
Altuve took two 99's just a shade outside before singling to drive home Snyder. 8-3.i
-
Only Lowrie without a hit...
-
About time somebody else's brain cramped up!
-
The guys appear to have taken yesterday's beatdown personally.
-
The Sox are having a very Astro day.
-
Millsie is making sure someone is going worm hunting.
-
I hated him when he pitched for the Giants. When he went to the Dodgers he became my favorite.
I went to a camp where he was an instructor. I got to talk about Jim Bouton, who he detested, as he was Bouton's pitching coach in Seattle. That was about the time that Bouton was making his comeback with the Braves.
-
9-3 Good Guys, bottom six.
-
Konerko, adding to the Hall of Fame case.
-
Snyder is so not kicking ass behind the plate.
-
Finally Snyder makes a play after a wild pitch.
-
Konerko is one slow SOB. Is there a Hall for that?
-
Preston Tucker with a homer for FL against NCState.
-
9-4 Good Guys through 7.
-
We live in the age of douchetastic commercials.
-
How many multiple hit games does Altuve have now? And does it lead the league? (just counted, 27) 27 out of 56 starts
Melky Cabrera has 28
-
Outstanding start by Harrell today.
-
H. O. F.
-
11-6 through eight.
-
I had a nice nap the past inning and a half.
-
I had a nice nap the past inning and a half.
Did you dream of Altuve's two-run homer?
-
Will Ohman, salesman.
-
Only Lowrie without a hit...
Lowrie is buying
-
Did you dream of Altuve's two-run homer?
I drifted off right after his RBI single, thinking about what a good AB he had, I woke up and he was high-fiving guys in the dugout.
-
FeRod in for the ninth.
-
FeRod in for the ninth.
And promptly walks the first 2 guys. Red ass to the mound
-
Two walks earns you a visit from Broky.
-
I assume Myers is warming up
-
He is.
-
Myers, help please
-
11-9 after that three-run jack.
AL ball.
-
This display is disturbing my post-nap after glow.
-
Here comes Myers.
-
Welp
-
11-9 after that three-run jack.
AL ball.
You walk 2 with a 5 run lead in the AL?
-
Fernando has earned a one way trip to OKC.
-
Myers is Mr Kaopectate.
-
Astros win a road series!
-
Myers, help please
Thank you Mr. Myers. Ballgame, Astros win!!
-
So if Wally is still raking when Lee is ready, what happens? Lee back to left?
-
So if Wally is still raking when Lee is ready, what happens? Lee back to left?
Maybe Wally gets some time at third.
-
Maybe Wally gets some time at third.
Can he throw left handed?
-
Maybe Wally gets some time at third.
and moving CJ to RF, Bogey to P, and Snyder to 1B?
