-
That hip flexor can't be helping.
-
My confidence in Norris tonight is...low.
Right on que, RB. Bud is throwing BP right now. I wonder if he is okay or whether he is hurt.
-
3-0 and counting.
-
Well Bud is ready for the AL
-
Spotting Wainright 3 runs is a good way to lose
-
Thank you, David Freese (one of my fantasy league players, and playing like he's on my club).
-
Paulino gets two outs vs. the Twins and then comes out of the game? Uh oh.
-

He's your guy, right?
-
The Angel of Death has a wide zone tonight.
-
He's your guy, right?
Yep. Hit in the leg by a line drive.
-
Fuck a bunch of "IT'S THE EXPERIENCE NOT THE SCORE.' It's always about the score.
-
Angel strikes again. But that pitch was too close to take.
-
I've seen enough of FRod in RF. He cannot play the OF. Some of you think Bogusevic is a bad OFer. Really?
-
Yep. Hit in the leg by a line drive.
Hope he's okay.
-
I've seen enough of FRod in RF. He cannot play the OF. Some of you think Bogusevic is a bad OFer. Really?
Yeah, FRod is rough in RF.
-
Damn, some well struck balls by Johnson and Wallace, but zip.
-
Yeah, FRod is rough in RF.
His play out there is Custian.
-
As a former pitcher, I really like Angel's strike zone tonight. But the hitters hate it. Someone is going to get tossed over one of those calls.
-
Oh, Mole. Thank you for that.
-
Paulino gets two outs vs. the Twins and then comes out of the game? Uh oh.
I picked up Freddy Galvis (PHI) a couple of weeks ago to shore up my infield, and he's been doing a decent job. That's why he injured his back tonight and had to leave the game.

My hitters are knocking them dead tonight with a paltry three points.
-
My guys and my choices have been pretty snakebit for the last three weeks. It's a long season.
-
Here I am for a couple of innings to curse the Astros.
Wainwright is going to eat them alive.
-
Yay, it's ETA!
-
Yay, it's ETA!
Is this tie OK with my button down pajamas?
-
My guys and my choices have been pretty snakebit for the last three weeks. It's a long season.
You ain't kidding. But I'm tired of bench guys having big nights when on the bench but not when I start them.
-
Is this tie OK with my button down pajamas?
Makes your ass look big.
-
You ain't kidding. But I'm tired of bench guys having big nights when on the bench but not when I start them.
I finally settled down with some guys I like, and I just leave them there unless I know they're not starting. I got tired of being 180 degrees out of phase with my picks.
-
Makes your ass look big.
Those are the cargo pants I am wearing underneath..in case I need to dress up.
-
Ihaven't watched a game in forever. Who are these guys? And when did Harpo start playing 1st?
-

Oh, I have to micromanage the shit out of mine, and squeeze every missed point possible onto the bench.
-
Ihaven't watched a game in forever. Who are these guys? And when did Harpo start playing 1st?
That's Harpo Lite.
-
Gddam, just tuned in. Guess wainwright is positively unhittable.

CON CARÁCTER
-
Thankfully don't have to watch any more of that business
-
Just for the fun of it:
Bottm 5th. 5-0 Cards. 1 out. Two singles by Castro and Norris.
-
Altuve singles to CF. Loaded base-thingees.
-
Altuve singles to CF. Loaded base-thingees.
I know the answer to this question. Triple play.
-
Lowrie swinging at everything
-
Lowrie swinging at everything
Except the strike 3.
2 out
-
..and JD strikes out to end it.
-
..and JD strikes out to end it.
Guess again
-
After 5, astros still looking up at the Cardinal flying over their heads with their mouths open, 4-0
-
..and JD strikes out to end it.
Fernando, but the confusion's understandable. Two overmatched corner outfielders. Named Martinez.
-
Guess again
D'oh! I'm trying?

I...ummm...
I'm stupid, ok?

Norris using the wide zone for a K
-
Oh, I have to micromanage the shit out of mine, and squeeze every missed point possible onto the bench.
Yeah. HOW ABOUT MY 53 ROSTER MOVES.
-
Norris using the wide zone for a K
*2
-
Toronto signed their 4th round pick with a 4 digit bonus
-
a grounder to ss makes it 11 straight for Bud. Going to the btm 6th
Still 4-0 Cards.
-
OK, JD grounds to 3rd for out #1
-
Toronto signed their 4th round pick with a 4 digit bonus
That's a kid who loves the game.
-
That's a kid who loves the game.
They probably guaranteed him a snowcone after every game.
-
Johnson goes to CF for a triple. No one ever hits to the hill.
-
Harpo hits to LF for a single, Johnson comes home.
4-1 Cards, 1 out. Btm 6th
-
Maxwell wacthes strike 3
2 out
-
That's a kid who loves the game.
Nah, just a college grad that gets to tell his son that he was drafted in the 4th round....shortly before making use of the business degree he earned. Apparantly, a bunch of college seniors who probably otherwise go undrafted or are roster fillers getting used for cap room.
-
Castro, after throwing his bat around, takes the 3-1 to CF for a single.
Runners on 1-2
Bogey PHing for Norris

That doesn't mane any sense. Why would you waste a fourth round pick?
-

Toronto took 7 straight college seniors in rounds 4-10 to pay for their other picks. The new rules have led to some interesting strategies.
-
Bogey hits to CF for a single and an RBI. Runners on 1st and 3rd. 2 outs
4-2 Cards
-
Marte in for the Cards.
-
First pith to Altuve goes to RF for a single and RBI
4-3 cards
-
Lowrie pops to 2nd.
End of 6, 4-3 Cards.
I am trying to eat, watch the game, and type, so excuse the bad spelling, please.
-
That doesn't mane any sense. Why would you waste a fourth round pick?
They needed the cap to be able to sign their first 3 picks
-
Cedeno Takes over for Norris in the 7th
-
XC gets the K for out 1
-
Grounder to Altuve for out 2
-
Where did everyone go?
-
Pitching change. Didn't catch yet.
-
They needed the cap to be able to sign their first 3 picks
So they're going into the draft hoping to end up with three guys? That's crazy.

So they're going into the draft hoping to end up with three guys? That's crazy.
That is my first thought also. Odd strategy.
-
Foul pop to Wallace for out 3.
Going to bottom of 7th 4-3 Cards
-
So they're going into the draft hoping to end up with three guys? That's crazy.
They'll get more than 3 but it sounds like they gave some kid a little money to take up their 4th round slot so they would have some extra to spend on the first 3. After that the slot money goes down.
-
Sanchez on the hill for the cards
-
BTW, EasTex, awesome job on the GZ tonight. Your keeping up like a champ.
-
These Martinez boys look like studs but they just seem to struggle at the plate. Here's hoping they put it all together.
-
So they're going into the draft hoping to end up with three guys? That's crazy.
They had seven picks in the top three rounds and went BPA, so they'll need every last penny to get them all signed.
-
Fernando graounds to 2nd for out 1
-

I don't get the JD bit; he's picked it up lately.
-
BTW, EasTex, awesome job on the GZ tonight. Your keeping up like a champ.
Thank you. Trying.
-
JD takes the 3-2 pitch for a walk.
1 out, btm 7th, still 4-3 cards
-
Sanchez throwing 95-97 with a 77 curve. Tough stuff.
-
I don't get the JD bit; he's picked it up lately.
Lately he has and early on he was a beast. But the month in between he looked totally lost.
-
Nothing but FB to CJ until the 80 break for the K.
2 outs. Runner at 1st. 4-3 cards, still btm 7th.
pitching change
-
They had seven picks in the top three rounds and went BPA, so they'll need every last penny to get them all signed.
Ah, well, that makes much more sense.
-
cards bring in a lefty with a long name I didn't catch against Wallace.
-
Ah, well, that makes much more sense.
That makes sense to me now too.
-
grounder to 2nd looks like the 3rd error for the cards tonight. Runners safe at 1st and 2nd.
(wife just got home and distracted me with....distractions. missed the play.)
-
Boggs in to pitch for the cards
-
Where did everyone go?
I'm at work.
-
grounder to 3rd.
4-3 cards.
I have ...umm...to go now
-
I'm at work.
8-5, dude.
8 to 5
( I left at 5:20 and got called back out twice)
-
I'm at work.
Really? When you say you're at work, you're not kidding, are you?
-
I gotta say, it makes me very happy to hear our fans still boo The Mole even after seven and a half years. Fuck that piece of shit.
-

Fuck, Clark.
-
Well.
Shit.
-
Fuck, Clark.
He seems to be on the wrong end of things. No outs, why the chance?
-
He seems to be on the wrong end of things. No outs, why the chance?
Well, the next guy up has a hard time getting the bat on the ball, so you need to take that chance.
What? Oh.
-
Stop being clark, Clark. It was a fucking catcher who was hurt last season with nobody out. Think, you fucking douchebag.
-
I am not sure why you send Castro there with no outs.
-
Well, the next guy up has a hard time getting the bat on the ball, so you need to take that chance.
What? Oh.
I know, but that is a lot to contemplate when your arms are swinging wildly.
-
I'm at a loss for words to qualify just how fucking stupid that was.
-
I'm at a loss for words to qualify just how fucking stupid that was.
Try anyway. I think it would make for an entertaining read!
-
Lowrie needs to pick up the coach.
-
Chuck, there is no rationale explanation for that send.
-
Try anyway. I think it would make for an entertaining read!
Imagine someone who's had his tongue removed due to cancer standing at a dais reading Chaucer in the original Middle English.
-
Speaking of dressing too casual, Motte could stand to sharpen up his look a little bit.
-
This loss is on Clark. Fucking prick, As my mother would say, dumb overflowing.
-
Who the fuck is Fernando Martinez and why is he playing professional baseball with a swing like that
-
Chuck, there is no rationale explanation for that send.
Of course not! You've got the run as good as scored with 1,2 and 3 up. Why waste the out? Why risk the out? Insane.
-
This loss is on Clark. Fucking prick, As my mother would say, dumb overflowing.
As our IT guy said today, I can't fix stupid.
-
Really? When you say you're at work, you're not kidding, are you?
Nope. I gots TWO jobs.
-
Who the fuck is Fernando Martinez and why is he playing professional baseball with a swing like that
The take on strike one is what annoyed me more than anything. The guy's going to bust you inside with fastballs. If I know that surely you should know that. Be fucking ready for it and hit it. Surprise us. Mix things up a little.
-

Seriously..who the fuck is this guy and why is he hitting third in the big leagues. He cannot possibly ever hope to put his bat on a fastball at this level.
-

You seen him go after a bender. That swing looks even worse. Bogey gets a few hits last night and gets benched for this guy?
-

Solid effort there Chuck, I applaud you!
-
Who the fuck is Fernando Martinez and why is he playing professional baseball with a swing like that
Pedro Cerrano's little brother.
-
Fuck, CJ.
-
Pedro Cerrano's little brother.
Dunno about that, I'd imagine that Pedro Cerrano's little brother could've knocked the crap out of at least 1 of 3 straight fastballs thrown to him..
-
God damnit, Clark. You killed us tonight.
-
99 right above the elbow. That's going to leave a mark.
-
God damnit, Clark. You killed us tonight.
And it's official.
-
Fuck fuck fuck. 4-3 BALLGAME Thanks, Clark.
-

Brad Mills should be summarily sacked for having this guy in a Major League lineup. The Astros have so far 12 hits, three walks and three guys reach on errors. That's 18 fucking baserunners and three fucking runs. That means it takes them six fucking baserunners to advance four bases. How is that even mathematically possible?
I'll tell you how...your fucking three hole hitter is 0 fer fucking 5 with 7 fucking LOB, that's how.
-
God damnit, Clark. You killed us tonight.
Which is odd because he generally strikes me as reluctant to send runners, even when it isn't completely incomprehensible doing so.

I've had problems with several of Millsie's lineups this season.
-
Fuck fuck fuck. 4-3 BALLGAME Thanks, Clark.
This loss is officially on the dipshit who inserted Fernando Martinez in the three hole tonight. This game was lost as soon as that dipshit handed in the lineup card.
-

I can't argue with that, but Clark's send with nobody out and Altuve coming up was colossally stupid.
-

In hindsight, it was the wrong move. But the play was closer than I thought it would be and it took a perfect throw even after Castro stumbles. He scores and you're all talking about what a gutsy call it was.
-
It was a stupid call even if Decalso throws it away and Marwin scores, too.

With Castro 3-4 tonight, I decided to check where his numbers are at now on the season. Found this:
vs LHP: .091/.130/.091
vs RHP: .303/.388/.449

That's fairly extreme.

That's fairly extreme.
I haven't seen the raw numbers, but I doubt he has many ABs against lefties.
Overall, he has looked pretty good to me lately. Typically has a nice AB and makes relatively consistent contact. One day, I hope to see him drive the ball more frequently, but baby steps.
