38 strikes thrown in a row? Uncanny. What a night for Bartolo Colon.

Even if the Angels had a lead in this game their bullpen would have blown it.

I like Jonny Gomes' line: "I've never seen anything remotely close... You can't even get 38 strikes out of a pitching machine."

I've made 38 or more free throws in a row several times in the distant past. However, I can't remember even throwing more than 10-12 strikes in a row. Ever. I've never seen anything like it. I got to watch the entire 38 pitch sequence courtesy of the A's TV network. He threw everything too. Colon wasn't just pumping in his plus heater. He had it all last night. Coach, have you ever seen or heard of anything like this?

Milo used to call home games for the Philistines, you know. That's where he coined the term "Canaan of corn".
