Title: Glorious Outside
Post by: Taras Bulba on March 23, 2012, 01:28:49 pm
That I'm in the office and not playing golf or fishing or smoking weed down by the river is bonafide proof that I'm a goddamned idiot.

I'm giving everyone here the rest of the day off.

Sounds like it's as nice there as it is here in Tampa. Sunny, warm and dry with a slight breeze. My work day's about done too.

Agreed.  I'm heading over to Little Woodrow's for some beers on the patio when they open at 3.

Had three beers on the patio at Cedar Creek for lunch, might as well take the rest of the day off.  It's not like I'm productive in any way now.
Gorgeous outside.

Sitting on the back patio with a beer, a cigar and my new iPad. March is my favorite month.

It's 79, sunny and the cherry blossoms are out in our nation's capital. Rode my bike to work today.

I think I'll appear all goggle-eyed and subserviently stupefied by my bosses' genius as I perform more menial tasks in order to continue to pay my bills and not resort to offing myself so Mrs. Brand and the little Brands can be debt-free on the back of my life insurance benefit.

ETA: I fully expect to die at my desk, or keel over into a fryolator when I'm a septuagenarian working at an Obesity Purveyor near you.

Sad is the aggressive march of bastard cabbage and its crowding out of native wildflowers http://texasinvasives.org/observations/search.php?sn=RARU&search=go

So that's why his posts are so different from everybody else's.  He's sober.

I spent many a weekday evening and weekend pulling those nasty bastards out of my yard in Pville.  I haven't seen any in Houston and I don't miss it.

Woke up to an inch of snow on the ground and all sorts of nastiness yesterday.  Beautiful sunny mid 50s here in PDX today.

Had a half day today, Mrs Pete and I went out on the bike for a couple of hours, and will probably sit on the porch and drink champagne this evening....it really is a heckuva day.

Just got back from a day at Sea Rim about thirty minutes ago.  I was too sick to go to work.

We caught two (keeper) bull reds and several sand trout.  Caught a nice buzz, too.

Neighbor chick/fishing partner (also too sick for work today) cooks fish now, whilst I wash off coconut oil, stuck on sand, spilt beer, etc.

I go eat what we caught next.  Then, whatever.  Yes.

What is it Beowulf or one of them Olde English motherfuckers once said?  Sumer is icumen in! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TedoUrTcU5o)
