Was at the game.  Mills has every right to be upset about the batters approach at the plate.  After 3 innings - Arroyo who has the next to worst ERA in the majors had thrown 21 pitches.  7 pitches an inning!  There is no excuse for that. 

However, it was Mills who put that line up together.  He could have (and I think should have) pulled guys based on their performance.  Downs looked bad at 2nd.  Bobbled 3 routine balls. 

It was pretty clear - some of the players were mailing it in on the last road game of a 102 loss season. 

Martinez's defense continues to impress me.  He made two stellar catches in the OF.  He is more than just a bat.  He has limited range so some of the catches might look more spectacular with him out there than with a more mobile LF (the fact that he tossed my son a ball after a 3rd out did nothing to influence my opinion).

Best to keep in mind that Carlos Lee was "patrolling" that area before JD.

Navigating the depressions in the ground is pretty impressive.
