Title: 67 years ago today
Post by: MusicMan on June 06, 2011, 10:27:32 am
Bravery the likes of which I cannot possibly fathom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZgKo46X8CI&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1)

God bless all of those who gave the last full measure of devotion on that day, and God bless America.

Amen.

This.

I haven't checked this out yet (blocked at work), but I saw a thread on another site that had this:

"go to www.live365.com and tune into "Rat Patrol Radio". they are replaying the original D-Day broadcasts. they are extremely interesting."

I doubt that "thank you" is an adequate indicator of my feelings of gratitude to and appreciation for our military, but nonetheless... thank you for all that you have done, and given, and sacrificed, and lived and died.

Planning this for later this summer.  Can't wait (and can't believe it took my umpty-fourth trip to Europe to get this on the schedule).
