Marlins go 3-up, 3-down in T1.
No more PBP from me, gotta run...
-
Sanchez with a nice double that skirts the 3B line.

I can't do much either, I've got to go to work but I'll fill in while I can.
-
Wallace in the 5-hole. Was he there last night?
-
Stanton whiffs on a Thunderpants fly to the wall in right and Sanchez chugs home just before the throw. 1-0 Good Guys!

Wallace in the 5-hole. Was he there last night?
Yes.
-
Baggy was trying to dance around talking about Pence, saying that it'd be nice if he went deeper in the count and took a few more walks but that's not who Hunter is.
Sigh.
-
Caballo bounces out and Wallace pops up to short, at the end of 1 it's 1-0 Astros.

Sigh.
FTFY. Double sigh.
-
I love Sanchez but good heavens is he slow.
Having Bagwell in the booth these Saturday home games is gold.
-
Norris walks Stanton to lead off the 2nd.
-
Norris is throwing all his pitches, all of them outside. Two four-pitch walks in a row and here comes Arnsberg.
-
Norris getting started early.
-
First pitch to Dobbs was called a strike, but if he'd been a RH hitter it would've been a ball.
-
Norris comes in on Dobbs who lines it juuuuuuust over Wallace's glove to load the bases with no outs.
-
First pitch to Buck is two feet outside.
-
If Norris' strike zone was about six inches wider it still wouldn't help him. He's way, way off tonight.
-
Norris battles an obliging John Buck and finally gets a K on a changeup. One down.
-
Murphy grounds slowly to first. Wallace kicks it but recovers to get the out a first and Stanton scores, 1-1 with two outs.
-
Vasquez bounces out to Wallace to end the top of the second 1-1. Strong of Norris to get by Buck, key AB of the inning. Clearly hitting the strike zone for the last two hitters.
-
CJ grounds out sharply to third on the first pitch. Hall up.
-
Bill Hall strokes a double to the base of Tal's Hill.
-
Those wide shots of the crowd are not kind. Maybe 12-15,000 people there tonight.
-
Rodeo Clown takes him full before whiffing on a breaking ball low and away. Two down, Norris up, Hall camped out at second.
-
Norris rockets the first pitch into the corner in left for an RBI double!
-
Norris with a little redemption at the plate!
-
Baggy's insights are so great, but his style is just as enjoyable.
-
Bourn walks, bringing up Sanchez with two down, runners on first and second.
-
Sanchez singles to shallow center, scoring Norris and it's 3-1 Good Guys! Runners on the corners now, two down.
-
Sanchez just got enough of that one.
-
That last run is thanks to Derryl Cousins who for some reason called strike three to Angel ball two.
-
Hunter rolls over on a breaking ball up and away to end the second. Astros up, 3-1 and I've got to go to work. Good luck, guys!
-
Work? On Saturday night?
You're a horse!
-
Outstanding.
Now I have to listen to Brownie and JD talk "food" with a CIA graduate.
This won't be painful and embarrassing.
-
This is KIND of like taking my aunt and uncle to a French restaurant.
-
Right-handed hitters who swing at everything.
-
Right-handed hitters who swing at everything.
That doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well as "Astros" does.
-
In a sense, hearing Baggy tonight almost makes this season worse.
I'm not sure I needed to be reminded of how awesome a franchise this was just a few years ago and that Baggy could still be used as the hitting coach but turned it down.
-
Good job, Bud.
It would actually kill this guy to hold a lead.

Things were going too well so he had to do something about that.

I honestly can't believe how every single one of our hot-ish prospects of the last 3 years fizzled into average-at-best.

I hope you're not talking about JR Towles.

I hope you're not talking about JR Towles.
I wasn't, but put him on the list.
-
Suck.
-
TEH suck.
-
OK, it's time for cough syrup.
-
Well, at least the fights are starting.
-
Man, the pitching on this team is a shitty as I ever remember.

I was seriously trying to remember a worse staff. I think it was before I was watching Astros baseball.

That 2000 staff was pretty special.

Elarton, Reynolds, Miller, Dotel, Wagner.
This is much much worse.
-
Overall, this is the worst Astros team I can remember seeing.

Don't worry. Relievers are just getting this crap out of their systems early this year...
WALLACE comes through with a single scoring Carlos. B7: FLA 7, HOU 5
-
Way to keep the rally alive there Bill (and CJ for that matter...). UGH!
-
We've seen enough of Bill Hall, right? His approach at the plate is worse than Pence's, if that's even possible. Isn't this guy supposed to be like our Gandolf?
-
I'm worried about the amount of hustle we've seen so far this year from Carlos. A couple of good plays in the field tonight, plus a double. 2 triples already this season. If he keeps this up, he's not going to have anything left in the tank by the time May rolls around...
-
I don't know if anyone else here is watching the fights, but Austinite James Kirkland just got upset in a massive, like other-worldly upset.
-
C'mon 'Stros. A bloop (and a bloop) and a blast sends us home happy!
-
Astros with their first PH of the season!
-
This screams double play
-
And Spaz grounds out to end the game... FLA 7, HOU 5
-
I have never understood the footer adulation, but she looks pretty cute here.
-
On the other hand, my wife just told me she looks like a man, and I HAVE been drinking

Then you're both right.
-
Chuck, this may be the booze talking, but next time that you find yourself in the hellhole that is Dallas, I'd love to buy you a drink.

You've just hit on both footer and chuck. It may be time to go to bed.

You've just hit on both footer and chuck. It may be time to go to bed before you start trawling Craig's List looking for Pam Gardner's dominatrix ad.

Wish you had been a little more timely with this - could have saved me a lot of rope burns.
