LG INF from the Rays for cash or PTBNL.

LG INF
So, he's kinda like Cecil Fielder?

Kids, don't text and drive.

He seems to be a nearly perfect addition. LHB, not much power but good AVG (.290ish career vs. RHP) and OBP, looks like he's played mostly 2B, LF, and RF in the majors with a dash of 3B, SS, and CF. I think I saw that he led MLB in pinch-hits last year.
McTaggert twittered that he thinks this increases Bourgeois' chances of making the team. I guess he's thinking they'll start the year with Inglett and Downs as backup IF, and either Manzella or Sanchez at SS. But I wonder if they view Inglett as a possible 5th OF/spare IF type once Keppinger comes back. Then again, Kepp will probably be trade bait as soon as he gets healthy, given his high salary.

Some Joe Inglett trivia/ephemera:
-In 2006, he played in 18 games (64 AB) at AA, and hit .516.
-from 2008-09, he got 215 AB in AAA, and hit .372
-he pitched a perfect inning last year for Milwaukee in a blowout vs. the Reds
-this is what he looks like. (http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/qVe6WTYanbU/Toronto+Blue+Jays+v+Los+Angeles+Angels+Anaheim/LA_mEDObBRv/Joe+Inglett)
I'm psyched about little Joe!

I wonder if his grandfather is the one that invented that little plastic bit on the end of a shoestring?

From the caption:
Joe Inglett #1 of the Toronto Blue Jays throws the ball to first and misses a double play during the interleague game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Angels Stadium on July 4, 2008 in Anaheim, California
Eh?

Sure, he sounds scrappy. But does he exude Ecksteininian levels of Scappiness? Or is he merely Stankywiczian?

If he is the next Pissant, at least he's our pissant.

Would Garnerian be superlative scrappy?
