Title: Sporadic is a genius
Post by: HudsonHawk on October 08, 2010, 02:29:14 pm: Since his 10-second internet golf lesson, I've shaved approximately 15 strokes off my game. Consistently. Shot in the 80's today for the first time in a very long time. Who knew the key to golf was not to try to hit the ball.

I learn new things every day. It only seems to most of you that I know everything.

It's hard for me personally too from all the years of hitting a baseball, where you're taught to focus on the ball and see the ball hit the bat. But once I started focusing on hitting a spot, rather than the ball, it seems a lot of things clicked into place.

See also: putting over a spot 6-8" on your target line rather than putting the ball

A spot behind the ball. The ball just happens to be in the way of the club.

Playing better certainly makes it more enjoyable. Nice weather helps also.
