I can't do PBP, but the Good Guys picked up two in the bottom of the second on four hits. It's 2-0 going to the third.
-
A ringing single by Figueroa brought home the 2nd run. He really scorched that one, the 1B chalk line may have even been slightly mussed.
-
Kabong with the solo jack to LF, 3-0 in the bottom of the 3rd.
-
he sure reached out and pulled that one. 24 HR, 89 RBI for Lee.
-
Chris Johnson just swung at a pitch headed for his belly button, to ground into an inning-ending DP with 2 men on.
Oh, and congrats to Brett Wallace on his first-ever MLB triple. (albeit on a generous safe call by the 3B ump).

And like a fog slowly creeping up to the coast, so approaches the void to SnS. End 6: FTC 0, HOU 4

Loser of this game gets the 9th overall pick in the 2011 draft. Winner gets the 11th overall pick.

Looks like the Braves are going to beat the Phillies today. If San Francisco beats San Diego, Giants and Braves are in. If San Diego wins, there is a 3-way tie for the playoffs (NL West and Wild Card). Who'd have thought SD vs. SF was a series that was going to mean something at the end of this season...

Maybe I spoke to quickly. Gascan is giving it up against the Phillies. Now 8-7 ATL with 2 outs and a runner on base.

There's no way he could go out without starting another blaze.
-
Bottom of the 7th and it looks like FTC has Dim from Clockwork Orange on the mound.
-
Ugh. Bogusevic goes 0-4 today with 4 Ks.
-
Bogusevic making a nice impression in his last game of the year: 4 K's.
ETA: Damn, there's no beating Ron Brand.

That was in B8 btw...
-
FOTF in his final AB of the year...
-
...and it's a towering F8. 4-0 Good Guys through 7.
-
Wow. Wilton Lopez looked damn good that inning. He seems to have a little more of a rocking/rotating towards 3B motion in his delivery, no?
-
Braves beat the Phils, 8-7.

Alright, come on Pads. I love to see chaos at the end.
-
Boojwah stranded at third when Q strikes out and we're going to the top of the ninth up 4-0.
-
Lyon in to zip up the bag.
-
Popup to Kepp, one down.
-
Hill flies out to Bogey in LF, two down.
What's that mist? Must be something in my eye...

That's odd. Same exact mist here in the left coast...
-
Strike three called. Hello Void.
-
Sweet. Shut out the Cubs to end the season. That'll make the winter a little sweeter.
-
Astros shut out the FTC, and the void is officially upon us...
-
76-86, fourth place. Fuck the Cubs.
Thanks so much to Brad Mills, Arnsberg, all the young callups, JD and Brownie, all you who participated and enjoyed the GZ...

Hey, there's still the playoffs...
Who else is rooting for the Twins (and Rays)?

I just hope they all go seven games plus extra innings.

Goodnight, ladies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5b5vlVi-aI). See you next year.

Right now I'm rooting for the Padres...

Nice.
And yes, I'm definitely rooting for a Padres W tonight. Come to think of it, they'd be my choice for the whole NL playoffs, too, I think.

Astros decline to pick up Blum's option, per McTaggart.

That's interesting, and just a bit disappointing. I thought Blum and Michaels brought a very nice bit of veteran seasoning to the youngsters.

Well that was quick.
I hope they bring back Michaels. Hard to ask for more from a 4th OFer. And the $900k option seems very reasonable.
-
Tags says they plan to bring Michaels back.
