I hope they don't need six firemen tonight (or even four), but it's a possibility.

fanfuckingtastic...that's some good stuff
I love this stuff. It's quickly become my "go to" suds.

I haven't seen enough of JaaaaaayHapp to know how he gets it done, but his "stuff" doesn't seem all that great. He just gets people out. Anyone care to explain the art of pitching as it pertains to Mr. Happ?
-
So through 5 Halladay has a 2-hitter and Happ has a 1-hitter?
-
Correction. 3-hitter. Way to go SBB!!!
-

Technically that is through 5 1/3

Technically that is through 5 1/3
Wait, aren't there now 2 outs in the T6?
-
T6:
Happ pops out F5
Bourn HOMERS to RF!
Hernandez KS
Pence KS
Astros 2 Phils 1
-
Wait, aren't there now 2 outs in the T6?
and possibly 3...
-
So, does that mean 2 shots at Griffs, or does a Bourn HR merit a double?
-
No hit by pitch there. Gutsy(?) call for the HPU, but appeared to be a good call.
-
B6:
Halladay singles up the middle
Rollins flies out F7, one out
Victorino HBP, but ump says he leaned into it...making him still hit...then singles to LF, Halladay to 2B
Polanco doubles over Lee's head, Halladay scores, Victorino to 3B
Utley pops out F4, two out
Werth grounds out 4-3, inning over
Astros 2 Phils 2

BudGirl is there. She's probably had four or five after that.
-
T7:
Lee flies out F7
Johnson doubles to RF
Wallace pops out F3
Q singles to LF, Johnson scores
Manzella Ks, inning over...but...we go to the Stretch and the Astros have their THIRD lead of the game off of Halladay
Astros 3 Phils 2

Melancon looked gassed after his 3 inning 49-pitch stint last night. Surprised he is getting the call here.
-
B7:
Sweeney singles to RF
Francisco grounds in to 5-4 FC, Sweeney out at 2B
Pitching change...Happ out...Lopez in...good time to light my cigar
Ruiz singles to LF, Francisco to 2B
Ibanez to hit for Halladay...Mills makes the move to the pen...Byrdak in...good time to crack open another brewskie
Ibanez flies out F8, Francisco tags and moves to 3B, two down
Millsie out again...Byrdak out...Melancon in....good time to take a whizz
Rollins left with his dick in his hand, as Q picks off Francisco at 3B...score it 2-4, inning over
Astros 3 Phils 2
-
WTF? Q ends another inning with a pickoff? To 3B this time? WOW!
-
Melancon looked gassed after his 3 inning 49-pitch stint last night. Surprised he is getting the call here.
I think Brownie was right...Mills is thinking..."I gotta get 8 more outs...everyone is available, if I only ask them to get one or two outs, but no one can go two innings".
-
Someone needs to .gif the shot of Francisco with the crowd behind him all looking like they're either about to storm the field or crap their pants.
-
Dang. SBB puts that one in the 2nd deck (foul though).
-
I think Brownie was right...Mills is thinking..."I gotta get 8 more outs...everyone is available, if I only ask them to get one or two outs, but no one can go two innings".
Yep, sounds reasonable.
-
T8:
Bourgois, pinch hitting for Melancon...with a looping liner, nabbed by Rollins, one away
Bourn strikes out swinging, two away
Hernandez pops out F4, inning over
Astros 3 Phils 2
-
On a side note...this Ramon Allones is quite tastey.
-
B8:
Lyon in for the Good Guys...
Rollins, who was at the plate when Q picked off the runner at 3B to end the 7th....pops out F6, one out
Victorino grounds out 3-1, two gone
Polanco grounds out 1-3, inning over
Astros 3 Phils 2
-
Astros affiliates showing some consistency between the clubs tonight. Greeneville and Corpus both down 10-1, Lexington down 9-1 and Tri-City the lone over achiever only down 8-2...
-
I'm guessing all you yahoos are at Grif's. That Pence dinger deserves *clink*.
We toasted to it with our Shiners at the Denton BWW. Helluva drive for us to make it to Grif's tonight.
-
Actually not entirely rue. Round Rock only down 2-0 in the 4th (and Lancaster just beginning the game).
-
Flipping channels for a moment, the Pearland, TX Little Leaguers are leading Washington 4-1 in the top of the 4th, with TX at bat. If TX wins, they go to the USA final.
-
T9:
Pence grounds out 6-3
Lee flies out F7, two down
Johnson down swinging...on to the bottom of the 9th...
Astros 3 Phils 2

-
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh
-
B9:
Here we go!!!
Utley strikes out swinging...one away
Werth strikes out swinging..two down
Howard in to pinch hit for Sweeney...singles to LF on what would have been a routine ground ball to SS, if not for the shift
Brown in to pinch hit for Francisco...strikes out swining
ASTROS WIN!!!!
-
Winnah winnah chicken dinnah!!!
-
Beautiful fastball on the black to close it out!
-
Way to go, Boys!!
Hey Shilleleigh...pound that ol' Budweiser!
-
Happ beats Halladay. Lyon with a 2 out save. Bourn and Pence with solo shots. Astros lead the series 3-0. AWESOME!
-
Yee hah!
-
Thanks for the PBP there HH.

That was a complete game by me, wasn't it? It's fun on nights like tonight. I'll tell you...if you haven't loved watching the Astros the last few nights, you're no fan of baseball.
-
Damn I feel good tonight. Astros playing like champs, and it's a beautiful night here in the Tall City...about 70 degrees right now. S'posed to get in the 50's tonight!
-

Like many pitchers who don't have swing and miss stuff, Happ requires good command. But he has a good game plan. He gets ahead with pitches down in the zone, and then he throws his riding heater above the hands. It's tough for a hitter who's behind in the count to lay off that pitch.
-
On a side note...this Ramon Allones is quite tastey.
I hope he had the goddamn courtesy to give you a reacharound.
-

All b.s. aside, how long has it been since we've seen a stretch of Stros baseball this entertaining? I lost much interest earlier this summer, but the past few weeks have been a joy to watch, wins, losses and standings be damned.

Shit, I've loved the season and how it has progressed. I've not lost one iota of interest in the club, even when they were a traveling horseshit show. I've seen worse Astros teams before.
