This morning's Statesman showed no channel for the Astros' games tonight or tomorrow night, and it *did* show the Rangers on 77, which is the usual alternative channel. Does anybody know if that's just a screwup on the Statesman's part, or are we really shut out?

Generally, the way it works in San Antonio (which I believe is identical to Austin) is that if there's a Spurs game, even if it's not on FSN, the Astros get bumped to the alternate channel (50 in SA, 77 in Austin) and the Rangers get bumped out completely. It infuriates me when they take the Astros off of FSN when the Spurs game is not on FSN. Do they really think they'll get better ratings with "High school sports live" or whatever? I've written them about it but I get nothing but a boilerplate response.

This time of year usually sucks for Astros television coverage and it usually revolves around the Spurs. And basically the Spurs usually oblige and get knocked out of the playoff hunt pretty quickly. So there is that. What is ironic to me is that the Spurs are also on TNT tonight, so if you can't stand FSN for some reason, you can watch Sir Charles say how much he dislikes the old Spurs. That's always good for a laugh or three.
As far as I can tell from the TV Guide though, no channel 77 tonight (and usually they'll broadcast channel 77 on channel 288 if you have Digital Cable). Nothing listed for tonight.

Grande shows the Astros/Marlins game at 7 on their equivalent alternative channel.

Ok, I'll dig around at 7pm. Sometimes the game shows up on 1525 without being listed.

I'm a little late to the party but the Astros game was on 77 on TWC. And of course the Spurs were on Fox Sports and TNT.

Probably only the Austin TWC. I think I have the Round Rock TWC and it was blacked out. *sigh*
