Don't remember seeing Lance swing a black bat in several years.

From McTaggart via Twitter yesterday (http://twitter.com/brianmctaggart/status/3800669596): Cooper on September call-ups: "You'll be surprised."

From earlier today (http://twitter.com/brianmctaggart/status/3821569180): GM Ed Wade says not to expect surprises when rosters moves are announced after game. Only going to be 2 or 3 players called up.

Good Guys go down in order B1.

Werth hits a 2B in the first AB T2, but Moehler puts away the next 3 he faces stranding Werth at 3B.

What a surprise.

McTaggart says as much (http://twitter.com/brianmctaggart/status/3823578323) in response to a couple of questions: "I think Coop's idea of being surprised isn't what everyone else, including Wade and media, would find surprising."

Moehler gives up back-to-back solo jacks in the T4 to Howard (est. 445 ft - 11th longest in MMP history per McT) and Ibanez with none out, but retires the next 3.

Per Footer tweet (http://twitter.com/alysonfooter/status/3824363703): Astros are recalling three players from Triple-A Round Rock: Chris Johnson, Tommy Manzella and Billy Sadler.

Sadler was brought up pursuant to his agreement when he signed with the Astros.  A bit surprised with Johnson though - any comments on him Coach?

Damn. Bourn rockets a single up the middle, Kaz bunts him over, only for Puma and Kabong to be outfoxed by Moyer. 3-2 Phillies in the top of the 7th.

Jesus Christ. Pence!!! lost another pop to RF for a double. Then WW tries to pick Rollins off at 2B but throws it into center and now Rollins is on third with one out.

Wow, The Kid gets a clutch strikeout to strand Rollins. Hell of a performance by Wright to come back after those errors. He was using everything in his toolbox on that one, pounding the zone with curves and up to 94 on his fastballs.

Considering his recent quotes it sounds like something else is going on. He doesn't seem to be enjoying himself very much these days.  I don't know if he's hurt, pissed off, disappointed, frustrated or what, but talking about playing next year because he's contractually obligated to is not what you want to hear from your #3 hitter.

Coop continues to grind away at the bullpen, using Byrdak for two hitters and now he goes to Fulchino with one on and one out.

Maysonet should have been given more of a go at the start of the season.  He started hot and was sent down for no good resaon.

Hard to say. Maysonet was hot, but when he went down he didn't show much. I'd like for Coop to have continued with him too, but he was the odd man out.

I agree. He's been a very valuable addition to the bullpen. I had dogged Byrdak earlier until Coach straightened me out, but he's had a great year too.

I agree. Outside of Bourn, Fulchino, Byrdak, Lee, Gervacio, Valverde, Blum, Sampson (most of the year), Hawkins, Rodriguez, W., Tejada, Pence (begrudgingly) and Arias, I'd say that just about everyone else was subpar at best. Hampton and Ortiz downright sucked much of the time.

I live in the Philly market, so I obviously see a lot of Phillies games. And to be fair, I've seen Park looking sharp more often than not. I think we just caught him on an off-day. The other day I saw him and he was lights out--his fastball had a ton of movement and good velocity, and he was hitting his spots.

That's good to hear. It seems that every time I see him, he has no command. I know that he can still throw a plus fastball. The Phillies know much more about player evaluation than silly ole me anyway. I'd trust them.
