Title: Astros @ Brewers, Sunday, August 16, 2009
Post by: BudGirl on August 16, 2009, 01:01:35 pm
Tejada says it's time for a day off and didn't talk Cooper out of it this time. He's in 0-for-15 slump.

Hampton won't start until next weekend at earliest. He'll throw a good bullpen Tuesday to gauge his shoulder and knees.

Hampton to miss next start

lineup: Bourn CF, Matsui 2B, Berkman 1B, Lee LF, Blum 3B, Pence RF, I. Rodriguez C, Keppinger SS, Oswalt P. NO TEjADA

one wonders what to think of this team anymore.

looper will probably toss a no-hitter, assuming i didn't miss a hit in the top of the 1st.

i am not wondering.

I don't remember a time in which there was this much apathy towards an astros team.  I feel the same way though.

It's time to start talking about retiring Bourn's number.

i'm amazed that cooper doesn't rest him just to get him out of sync.

It's not so much apathy as it is numbness, I still care a great deal.

The Astros are going to honor, the-.182-for-August Matsui for his 567th major league hit! Next homestand! Get your tickets now, you don't want to miss that!

Braun is a little better HR hitter. Braun sucks far more assholes. That's it. Yount wins every other comparison.

Drayton seems so easily persuaded by local media. Maybe if we could get a groundswell movement going that people will stop coming to games if they don't come up with a better marketing strategy. Maybe we can get a Gardner--Cooper two-fern like the Purpura-Garner one.

a Gardner--Cooper two-fern

I've heard of that one.  Somewhat exotic yet extremely toxic non-native species to southeast Texas.  When taken in any measure it will affect the structure of the shoulders while simultaneously attacking the parts of the brain that control baseball commonsense attempting to make you think the letter order "f" "l" "a" "s" "h" "i" "n" "t" "h" "e" "p" "a" "n" is the same as "h" "a" "l" "l" "o" "f" "f" "a" "m" "e".  People are encouraged to avoid it completely, but when contact is unavoidable the sound "boo" may affect it's spread.
