El Caballo grounds out to 2B. Good play by Barmes. Side retired. 2-1 Top Six.
It was a nice play, but there aren't more then three or four living players that couldn't have beaten that out.

Wild pitch. Hawpe to second.
Q isn't nearly the weapon behind the plate he'd like to think he is.
-
Was that last pitch a curve or a change up? It clocked in at 88.
It was a classic curve ball.
-
Q isn't nearly the weapon behind the plate he'd like to think he is.
What does that have to do with the wild pitch?
-
Twinkie singles to LF.
-
Twinkie singles to LF.
That's a nice piece of hitting. Most guys pop that pitch up.
-
What does that have to do with the wild pitch?
It bounced out in front of the plate, and Q looked shocked that a runner was daring to move on him.
-
Blum walks. Runners on first and second for Maysonet. No outs.
-
It bounced out in front of the plate, and Q looked shocked that a runner was daring to move on him.
Well, I think he didn't realize how far it bounced away, and thought maybe he had a play. He did a great job simply keeping that ball in front of him. I thought you might be suggesting there was something he could have done differently. Other than the goofy look.
-
Ouch.
-
If that ump can stay in, he's one tough SOB. 98 mph heater straight into the elbow.
-
Rex's mustache looking a little unkempt tonight.
-
Maysonet strikes out on a pitch that got nothing but the umpire's arm. Catcher got crossed up and was looking hook but the 98 MPH cheese nipped the umpire. Ouch. Twinkie to third.

Ouch.
Looks like it hit him on the arm.
-

No, it was good form on the block. I've just noticed that with all the snap throws, etc., he really hinks he's capable of completely stopping every runner.
-
Ruled a passed ball, but that's a tough one.
-
Ruled a passed ball, but that's a tough one.
He was clearly expecting the 2, and got the 1.
-

I understand what you're saying. There's a fine line between controlling the running game and simply being reckless, and Q flirts with it.
-
Tough break on a damned fine at bat.
-
Erstad lines out to SS. Two outs. Great AB, but no cigar.
-
Damn, great AB from DE, not the result he was looking for though,
-
Pudge out 5-3. Shitfuck. 2-1 Wrong Guys. Top 7.
-
Erstad lines out to SS. Two outs. Great AB, but no cigar.
Speaking of cigars, one of the benefits of my little 500 square foot bachelor pad is no one can tell me not to fire one up while watching the game. I think I will. Thanks.

Dammit. I see that I still have a long way to go in life before I've arrived.
-
Dammit. I see that I still have a long way to go in life before I've arrived.
Stay thirsty, my friend.
Speaking of lighting up... has anyone ever more directly advertised to the stoner crowd than Jack in the Box with their $0.99 taco commercial?
-
Watcha huffin, HH?

Stay thirsty, my friend.
Speaking of lighting up... has anyone ever more directly advertised to the stoner crowd than Jack in the Box with their $0.99 taco commercial?
Absolutely not, no. The missus and I marvel at this every time.
-
Stay thirsty, my friend.

They should get Cheech and Chong to make an appearance.

hedging their bets, hoping marijuana is legalized.

Dammit. I see that I still have a long way to go in life before I've arrived.
If you aren't fortunate enough to live in a dinky apartment 600 miles from your wife and house, then you should at least have a "man cave".
-
Montecristo No. 3
Outstanding. Enjoy.
-
Phillips singles to CF.

Outstanding. Enjoy.
I have some Glinlivet to round it out.
-
I have some Glinlivet to round it out.
I'm all out of Tiparillos but I do have some Diet Root Beer.

-
Murton pinch hits for Jiminez. Murton singles to RF. Runners on first and third with one out.
Perfectly executed hit and rum. Hit it right at Maysonet's vacated spot.
-
I'm all out of Tiparillos but I do have some Diet Root Beer.
Cretin.
-

While I fully I agree, my house is too small to maintain a proper one. Closest I've got is my desk in the bedroom, which has almost every inanimate object that I love within reach. I work an awful lot at night (like now), and watch the games on a little LCD screen just left of the keyboard. To the right is a Manhattan, half-drunk. Just to the right of that is an original piece of Astroturf from the Dome. A bunch of various and sundry, and a Marshall JCM 900 sitting on top of a Fender 4x12. It's not all bad, but no cigars.
-
Perfectly executed hit and rum. Hit it right at Maysonet's vacated spot.
Of all the rotten fuckin luck...
-
Cretin.
I don't always drink Diet Root Beer, but when I do, it's A&W.
-
Perfectly executed hit and rum. Hit it right at Maysonet's vacated spot.
Mmmmmmmmmm... hittin' rum.
-
Perfectly executed hit and rum. Hit it right at Maysonet's vacated spot.
Hit and "rum"?
-
Pudge is right... that should have been interference. Batter's dive is what caused that throw to go so high.
-
Hit and "rum"?
Freudian slip, not fredian.
-
I don't always drink Diet Root Beer, but when I do, it's A&W.
Tonight it was Stewart's. Although after HH's pointed riposte it's clearly time to bust out the 18 yr old Glenlivet now. No cheroots though.
-
Fowler struck out. Steal of second. Two out. Gotta get Barmes. Helton awaits.
-
Barmes out F3. Side retired. 2-1 Rox Bottom 7.
-
To the right is a Manhattan, half-drunk.
Alkie?
-
Alkie?
He said half.
-
Tonight it was Stewart's. Although after HH's pointed riposte it's clearly time to bust out the 18 yr old Glenlivet now. No cheroots though.
Attaboy. Never trust a man who doesn't have scotch on hand.
-
He said half.
The Manhattan's half-full, I'm 1/8th drunk.
-
Attaboy. Never trust a man who doesn't have scotch on hand.
Exactly. If only the game were a better accompaniment.
-
Bourn bunts, but out 1-3. Pitching change.
-
Alkie?
I thought we were required to reference Manhattan in every thread now...
-
I'm 1/8th drunk.
I'm 1/8th Irish...which is pretty much the same thing.
-
I thought we were required to reference Manhattan in every thread now...
Alkie as Dr. Manhattan?
-
Just to the right of that is an original piece of Astroturf from the Dome.
I have one of those. Treasure.
-
I have one of those. Treasure.
Truly. If you ever find out how to match the number on the back to a location on the field, let me know. It's my white whale.
-
Perralta's lathered up like a ten dollar mule. Isn't the roof closed?
-
Peralta on to pitch to Miggy. Miggy strikes out.
-
Perralta's lathered up like a ten dollar mule. Isn't the roof closed?
Judging by the gold chain, I'm guessing that's actually Aqua Velva.
-
Truly. If you ever find out how to match the number on the back to a location on the field, let me know. It's my white whale.
I never thought of that. Do you know if it was documented as such or is it just a hope?
-
Pence grounds out 1-3. Side retired.
-
I never thought of that. Do you know if it was documented as such or is it just a hope?
Mostly hope, plus a little bit of anecdote.
-
Helton groounds out 4-3. One out.

-
Corpas in. El Caballo looks a strike three. One out.
-
Corpas in. El Caballo looks a strike three. One out.
That was the same fucking pitch as the 2-2 to Murton in the 7th, and Fulchino got squeezed.
-
Wow... Lance clearly guessed wrong on that one.
-
Twinkie looks at strike three. Two out.
-
Blum singles.
-
footer said that blum's been ready to
come back since the middle of pirates series
-

Manager's decision.
-
The credit I give the HP ump will only extend so far if he keeps up this circus of a strike zone.
Maysonet singles to CF.

Jason Michaels pinch hits and strikes out. Side retired. 2-1 Rox Top 8.

Jason Michaels pinch hits and strikes out. Side retired. 2-1 Rox Top 8.

Kata stays in at 2B. Maysonet moves to 3B. Arias in to pitch. Quintanilla K's swinging. One out.
-
Phillips walks on a good AB.
-
Worst Scottish accent ever?
-

That's thinking with yer dipstick!
-
Holy shit. Was he actually out?
-
Stewart pinch hits. Stewart grounds out 3-4-1. Two out. Runner to second. Twinkie tweeked his ankle.
-
Yes he was. Fucking awesome.
-
That's thinking with yer dipstick!
There is almost nothing in life that is not improved by people falling down or people getting hit by things.
-
Damn, that's a cute girl sittin with that doofus.
-
There are dozens of people left in the Park. Looks like a game in Pittsburgh.
-
Fowler walks. Runners at 1B and 2B. Two outs.

There are dozens of people left in the Park. Looks like a game in Pittsburgh.
Yeah, but there are blondes with nice titties.

Coop: "I was actually talking to this ferret I have in a ball bag in the dugout so i didn't see the play, but just I'm just going to talk and just look agitated like I'm out here putting you in your place. Please? Ok, I'll go sit down now."
-
El Caballo to be put on intentionally.
-
I think walking the bases loaded here is a mistake. That's me.
-
Twinkie to be put on as well. Setting the table for Kata.
-
Less respect for Kata.
-
I'd have at least try and make em chase a bad pitch or 2 first.
-
What was Street bitching about?
-
What was Street bitching about?
Was wondering the same thing.
-
What was Street bitching about?
Not sure, but he didn't appear to be bitching as much as asking a question. Seemed downright chummy.
-
JD did call 14 innings for this game earlier, when they were showing Art Howe and company setting up for the post game show.....
-
Kata lines out to SS. Free baseball.
-
Crap. At least it's tied up.
-
Someone warm up Austin Wood
-
The GIDP by Pence killed them. Without it, they have to face either Berkman or Lee with the winning run at 3B with 1 out.
-
Having Pence bunt would have been the prudent thing to do, imo.
-
The GIDP by Pence killed them. Without it, they have to face either Berkman or Lee with the winning run at 3B with 1 out.
If you get to Lee, that's pretty much automatic.
-
You're not going to bunt the 3 hitter.
-
By the way, I hope Coop gave Hunter an attaboy and a slap on the ass for trying to pull that pitch.
-
He isn't a three hitter, he just happens to be hitting there.
-
Hawpe pops out to Miggy. One out.
-
You're not going to bunt the 3 hitter.
Nope, you gotta give who is supposed to be your best hitter a chance to drive in the winning run. But GIDP is the worst thing that could have happened.
-
Terrible, roll-over swing. Move him down, please.
-
Spilbourghs flies out to Pence. Two outs.
-
Terrible, roll-over swing. Move him down, please.
I can understand moving Lance out of the 3 spot...sort of. But why Pence? Why not Tejada?
-
Terrible, roll-over swing. Move him down, please.
That's just how RBI men do what RBI men do.
-
Dirty pitch.
-
Great FB at the knees got him looking, 3 away.
-
Smith looks at strike three. Side retired. Bottom 10.
-
Yeah, but there are blondes with nice titties.

-
Fogg in to pitch. Maysonet strikes out swinging. One out.

Keppinger pinch hits for Hawkins. Keppinger out 6-3. Two down.
-
Damn, 3 meat balls in a row, too and got the K
Pretty ugly after being up 3-0.
-
I'd like to take a moment to appologize to fellow Austinites for tonight's looming storm. I foolishly watered my whole yard and garden more than usual today without checking the weather first. Should be torrential.
-
Damn, hoped he yanked that one in to the crawford boxes.
-
dangit!
-
Pudge flies out to the track. Side retired. Top 11.
-

Appreciate the free water, thanks.
-
Too close for comfort.
-
big out
-
Camera crew has now shown every remaining fan at the ballpark...3 times.
-
Doesn't the slapping of the mitt behind the batter just confirm the pitch is going to be on the outside?
-
Wow, great diving play up the middle by Kata saving a run and ending the inning.
-
Allsome. Kata for president.
-
Great play.

No man, it's a long season. Gotta build to it.
-
No man, it's a long season. Gotta build to it.
JD is giddy. You should make sure he got a copy of the memo.
-
I'm just happy to see the team start playing better baseball, regardless of the opponent. That said, the Hunter Pence in the 3-hole experiment must end immediately.
-
Baseball = fucking great. Just saw Tejada's walk-off. Pence is hitting .341. Berkman should hit third. This is very true. Great, great, June 2nd win.
-
Damn, that's a cute girl sittin with that doofus.
Some light reading for you (http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com/).

Some light reading for you (http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com/).
Heyseuss Christo. Cue the San Marvelous douchebags, skin-tight in Affliction shirts, swaggering around mid-6th street, hours after a steroid-shot to the ass-cheek, frosted tips, making out with their fake-funbag, over-baked whore of a...something.
Good for them. Thumbs up.
