'morning all. One quick 3 Ding! poser today.
This is a combined MLB/somewhat Astros related.
The record for career World Series pinch-hits is 3, held by 10 players. 3 of the 10 spent part of their careers with Houston. One Ding! apiece for the 3 former Astros. None of the 3 played for Houston in their only WS appearance. Ding!s awarded only for the 3, none for the rest of the 10.

But we can't look up the answers. Takes the fun out of it.

Hell, I might have gotten to Boswell but there's no way I'd dig up Warwick.

Sorry. I would have never ever in a million years come up with these on my own. These guys were all before my time. If it's any consolation, I had fun looking up the answers.

With the right hint... you know if it gets that far.
Played OF in '62, shares same last name with the lady that sang, "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?".

Yeah you would have. Cerv is the hard one.

E. J. Dionne? No, that can't be right.

But keep your research to yourself. I like watching the participants go through unaided mental gymnastics on sunday morning.

Nope. History is what we'd like to learn from.

don't worry about it, but I don't have enough time to do another one today

Happy Scouting! Thanks for the question, Wild Dog - it was a tough one.
