Title: Caribbean Series
Post by: Bench on February 04, 2009, 08:14:02 am
FYI - I'm sure it's been noted before, but it should be reiterated that the MLB network has live coverage of the Caribbean Series all week.  Last night, Hector Gimenez slammed a bottom of the 11th game-winning home run to lead Venezuela past Mexico in a fantastic pitcher's duel.

That was a good game. The pitchers looked pretty strong for this time of year.

So...did anyone watch the Dominican vs. Mexico last night?  I only caught the part after the power outage, but it was a loooong game.  Mexico took it 12-9, Adrian Gonzalez looks as good as ever.

Yeah ... He was in A-ball for (I think) Florida last year and is continuing his comeback from injury in the Pirate system this spring.
