Anyone have a read on the Astros plans for Hart?
Observations from this season:
Nice range in LF. Prior to the groin pull ran down a lot of well hit balls, has a pretty nice arm and hit for both power and average.
Have not seen him in the outfield much since his return from the DL, mostly a DH the last few weeks, but still gets to the ball when he is in the outfield.
Since the injury has not gotten into the same groove he was in prior to it, but He is starting to come around again and his average is back in the .270 range with a PH double last night. (dipped into the .240s after his return)
Know he played 3B prior to his move to LF, wonder why the Hooks havent tried him there defensively as Sutton has his issues on defense. (Sutton would make a nice DH in the AL)

He wasn't successful as a 3B in Salem. He, Einertson & Dixon (Lex) were drafted to be converted to be infielders and it didn't work. Thus the glut of outfielders in CC.

Thanks.
Einertson has hit well and made a great throw from deep left the other night to save a run.
Not sure I know Dixon.

Dixon is in Lexington right now. I just added him to show the former regimes goals of drafting people for a position they hadn't played before didn't turn out to well.

25 year old converted outfielder who is not even the best outfielder on his minor league team. Right now there's no room for him at the major league level. I'd venture to guess he's behind Bogusevic and Iorg and maybe Einertson in the outfield pecking order. He's going to have to really step up if he's going to be in the Astros plans.
He was a butcher at 3b despite playing there in college.
Sutton will be lucky if he makes it to the majors at all.

Iorg is not patient at the plate and pops out way too much. Very much a first pitch kind of guy.
Hart is a little more patient and has hit 20 points better most of the year with two long hitting streaks.
The only time he has been less than really good was when he came off DL and that has a lot to do with the groin pull.
Einertson has looked solid all year, a little undersized, but gets to the ball and hits well with men on.
My top 4 right now are:
Bogusevic (still early) .371 .531 last 10 games 9 R, 12 RBI 3 SB
Hart .273 .371 last 10 games 9 BB 4K 7 R
Iorg .259 .364 last 10 games 9 RBI
Einertson .238 .364 last 10 games 6 RBI 6 R
Ball plays well and tore it up when he got here, but has been pretty quiet at the plate since then.
