As opposed to not being able to see the games at all? Sure!
Use it at the office and on the road. Not as good as EI, but definitely does the job!
-

Not sure if anyone (Lurch, OSF, whoever) was gonna do PBP. I will gladly delete my post and sit back and watch the game if someone else wants it.
-
I would appreciate at least an inning or two.
-
Can I get a divorce for mental distress? My husband just came in and ranted on and on--Why didn't the Astros get Adam Dunn and sign him longterm, put him in RF, and put Pence in CF? Then he went on to bitch about how they passed up on the comeback player of the year--Jim Edmonds. Missed the entire bottom of the 1st inning.
-
Hey everybody, I was out all day. Are the Astros gonna pick up Bonds? Or maybe, since he's a black hole, d'ya think they could trade Ausmus for Dunn? I bet Drayton had a nice pep talk for Lee before he went in for his surgery, right? I'll hang up and listen...
-
Rowand
called strike, foul tip, swinging strike. 1 out
-

Would appreciate some PBP. Am in & out and am not able to pay much attention to the game right now. THANKS!!!
-
Bowker
called strike, called strike, foul, ball, foul, foul, foul, foul, ground ball towards Berkman's right, tries to retreat, stops, Matsui fields and throws to Backe covering 1st. 2 outs
Nice job by Backe to back up Lance.
-
So I assume the Good Guys didn't score in the bottom of the 1st?
-
So I assume the Good Guys didn't score in the bottom of the 1st?
0-0, 2 outs in the top of the 2nd, runner on 2B.
-
Aurilia
grounds the ball down the 1B line, barely fair, Berkman takes a stab and misses, it slowly rolls into foul territory before being fielded. Scored a DOUBLE.
-

Great, now the rest of the show is going to be about race.
-
Burriss
called strike, soft liner to Kazuo. 3 outs

So I assume the Good Guys didn't score in the bottom of the 1st?
Yep. Sorry
Matsui flied out to CF.
Wigginton grounds out 6-3.

Randy Wolf's brother is umpiring this series.

called strike, laces a double down the 3B line.
-
How does Wiggy look in LF?
-
How does Wiggy look in LF?
Not good on that play. Sharp liner to left, Wiggy comes up to throw out the runner from second, but the ball rolls up his arm. He makes the throw anyway, it gets cut, and they nail the batter at 2nd for the third out.
-
How does Wiggy look in LF?
Like a serial killer, but he kind of looks like that all the time.
-
Lewis
ball, single to LF, Wiggington bobbles, Ochoa scores, throw goes to Loretta who throws to Matsui to get Lewis out at 2nd.
Giants 1, Astros 0
I hope this Negro league guy doesn't stay in the booth too long. I would like to watch and hear about the GAME.
-
Like a serial killer, but he kind of looks like that all the time.
Wigginton is gonna be waiting for you in the dark hallway on your way to bed tonight.
-
How does Wiggy look in LF?
Bad on that play. Just BAD.
-
Bourn
ball, ball, called strike, foul, foul, grounds out 4-3. 1 out
-
Q
called strike, foul, pops to RF. 2 outs.
-
Thanks for the PBP
-
Backe
called strike, ball, ball, ball, ball. Backe takes the walk.
-
Bill Blair is soothing.
-
Is that Barry Bonds in the booth with JD and Brownie? Someone needs to sign him, he looks bad
-
Matsui
called strike, flies out to CF. 3 outs.
-
Bill Blair is soothing.
He's awesome to listen to.
-
Sorry, had to take the chicken pot pie out of the oven (homemade)
Molina
ball, flied out to Pence. 1 out.
-
Rowand
strike, foul, foul, ball, ball, swinging K. 2 outs
-
Like a serial killer, but he kind of looks like that all the time.
Something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q3jk2om9GE) (at 2:10).
-
Sorry, had to take the chicken pot pie out of the oven (homemade)
Thanks for rubbin' it in...
-
Bowker
swinging strike, ball, foul, ball in the dirt, swinging K. 3 outs
sorry, I had failed to put the run in the score earlier.
-
Aflac trivia: Mays, Cepeda, and Ott all had over 140 ribbies in a season for the Giants.
-
Thanks for rubbin' it in...
See first you get a chicken, then some pot...
Reminds me of the classic Beverly Hillbillies episode.
Smoke some Crawdads.
-
Something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q3jk2om9GE) (at 2:10).
Nice.
-
Crust on the top or open, Jane?
-
Wigginton
ball, ball, called strike, ball, foul, pops out to SS. 1 out
-
Tejada
foul, grounds out 6-3. 2 outs
-
Berkman
swinging strike, swinging strike, grounds out 6-3. 3 outs
-
Hell, Sanchez has a no-hitter through 4. Oops!
-
Crust on the top or open, Jane?
Crust on top, not on bottom. Sort of a biscuity top rather than a rolled pie crust. Was a little lazy I guess, but I actually prefer the taste.
-
Was a little lazy I guess, but I actually prefer the taste.
Homemade pot pie CAN'T be considered lazy.
-
Aurilia
called strike, foul, foul, ball, hit DEEP to CF over Bourn (had no chance) one hops the wall, high bounce, Bourn gets it in. DOUBLE for Aurilia
-
Gints are 21-7 at MMP since 2000.
Twenty one and seven. That averages three our of four every year. Pathetic.
-
Hell, Sanchez has a no-hitter through 4. Oops!
That dirty Sanchez.
-
Burriss
foul, ball, ball, foul, foul, flies out to Pence in RF. Aurilia advances to 3B. Pence's throw was wide. 1 out.
-
Gints are 21-7 at MMP since 2000.
Despite what's going on tonight, they're a shadow of those earlier teams. Of course, you could make that case about the Good Guys too.
-
I presume their shadow's a bit longer than ours, though.
EDIT: What about that? Does their sucking more than we do these days in comparison to our respective yesterdays translate into a longer or shorter shadow for them?
-
See first you get a chicken, then some pot...
Reminds me of the classic Beverly Hillbillies episode.
Smoke some Crawdads.
I was in grade school then, and I remember watching that episode with my Dad. Poor fellow had to explain all of the jokes to me.
-
Sanchez
strike, grounds out Berkman to Matsui. 2 outs
-
Winn
ball, grounds out to Berkman unassisted. 3 outs
-
I presume their shadow's a bit longer than ours, though.
EDIT: What about that? Does their sucking more these days in comparison with their yesterday than we do to ours translate into a longer or shorter shadow for them?
Their shadow is just more flabby and less defined
-

Yet they are only 9 games back in the NL worst west. The Astros are 12 1/2 back.
Before the season on paper, I didn't see how they could NOT lose 100 games.
-
Loretta
called strike, swinging strike, flies out to RF. 1 out
-
Will there be video at the hospital, bloozy? Yes, I'm still trying to figure out your apparently jaded response from earlier today on the Jesus-Jesus ambulance catcher thread.
-
Pence
foul tip, flies out to Winn in RCF. 2 outs
-
Bourn
ball, foul, swinging strike, ball, swinging strikeout. 3 outs
Patti Smith talks to Doug Drabek in the stands and we miss the half inning. It's not like there's a ball game going on.......
-
Will there be video at the hospital, bloozy? Yes, I'm still trying to figure out your apparently jaded response from earlier today on the Jesus-Jesus ambulance catcher thread.
There's video of Carlos and Mary Lee pre-surgery. Carlos says he might take Roy Oswalt's advice and just cut the finger off. I appreciate the update of how the surgery went, just don't need it from JJdJOdO (w/video). He's a joke.
It's on the Chron blogs part of the website.
-
Astros are still being NO-HIT.
Ochoa
ball, called strike, ball, grounds out Matsui to Berkman. 1 out
-
Lewis
foul, ball, ball, foul, ball, flies to Wiggington in LCF. 2 outs
-
Molina
called strike, foul, HBP.
-
Rowand
swinging strike, ball, swinging strike, swinging strikeout. 3 outs
-

Thanks. I couldn't bring myself to actually watch said video.
-
Did someone say no hitter? 5 innings and no hits?
0-15 as a team?
-
Quintero, with the upside
-
Q
foul bunt, pops a single that just hits Ochoa in the glove.
-
Backe
bunts, no one can field it. Everybody safe
-
Matsui
bunts, Molina fields and throws him out. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. 1 out
-
Wiigggy piggy piggy!!!!
-
Wigginton
laces a single up the middle. Q scores, Backe rounds third, throw goes wide, Backe scores.
Giants 1, Astros 2
-
I didn't know they stacked shit hits that high
-
Tejada
ball, foul, ball, Pops out to Molina in foul territory. 2 outs
-
Berkman
foul, ball, foul, swinging strikeout. 3 outs
-
If Wiggy starts wobbling to field a hit or two out there in left, los cabelleros won't have to go into hibernation after all; they'll just need some cultural instruction on how to feign some kind of union jack soccer hooligan look; Limey could be their consultant.
-
Bowker
foul, grounds out Matsui to Berkman. 1 out
-
Aurilia
called strike, ball, ball, ball, called strike, ball. Third walk allowed by Backe.
What a freakin' mustache on that Caballero! Looked like Yosemite Sam.
-
Burriss
ball, grounds back to Backe who turns and throws LOW to Tejada. Miggy snags, steps on the bag, throws on to Berkman for the 1-6-3 DP.
-
Thanks, JD; the kids have taken every television in the house tonight. I'd rather get the skinny than listen to Ed MacMahon's
older brother.
EDIT: Correction, younger brother.
-
Loretta
ball, drives one high to LF, bounces high off the wall, leadoff DOUBLE.
-
Pence...
called strike, popped up to Bowker at 1st. 1 out. He got pretty jammed on that one.
-
Thanks, JD; the kids have taken every television in the house tonight. I'd rather get the skinny than listen to Ed MacMahon's older brother.
Yeah, the rest of my guys are watching the Green Bay-Cinncinnati game. Somehow I raised a Bengal fan. Don't ask how, I have NO freakin' idea.
-
Bourn
ball, foul, HBP.
-
Q up with Loretta at 2nd and Bourn at 1st with 1 out
called strike, ball, ball, ball (appealed-check swing), foul tip, foul, flies to Winn in RF. Runners hold
Looking at Pence's hand, wrist? in the dugout. Jammed him good on that last AB
-

They haven't demonstrated any tendencies towards larceny or assault to date, have they? Strike that! They wouldn't be kids if they didn't.
-
There is no excuse for that, Michael. Jaysus.
-
Oy, Michael. That was fucking dumb.
-
Almost afraid to ask what I visually missed....
-
Blum to PH for Backe.
foul, ball, single to LF, Loretta gets the stop sign, but Bourn runs through 2nd anticipating Loretta to go home, throw comes in to 3rd, Bourn retreats--he's a freakin' dead duck on the water, then Loretta takes off for home, gets tagged out. BS baserunning by Bourn. Someone screw his head on a little tighter.
Backe's final line: 7.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 6K
-
I haven't been watching him closely today; is Bourn running better?
-
Hawkins in to pitch for the Astros.
Dave Roberts PH for Sanchez.
called strike, foul, ball, ball, foul, swinging K. 1 out
-
Almost afraid to ask what I visually missed....
Consider yourself lucky.......
-
I haven't been watching him closely today; is Bourn running better?
Shut up.
-
Winn
ball, ball, swinging strike, foul, flies out to Bourn, coming in on the run.
-
Ochoa
ball, foul, called strike, called strike. 3 outs
-
Shut up.
No, seriously (for once). Last few times I've paid attention, he was still favoring his ankle. He clearly flubbed rounding second on that hit, just curious if he looks like he's running like he used to.
-
Well, when he had to have it Backe definitely threw a good game tonight. Seemed to be pounding the strike zone pretty well.
-
Billy Sadler RHP (0-1, 4.56) comes in to pitch.
Matsui
ball, called strike, ball, swinging strike (why are you swinging at that junk?) fly ball to LF, caught up against the wall. 1 out.
I could really use some good dark chocolate right now. Like the 80%+ stuff.
-
WIGGY!!!!
-
Wigginton
Takes the first pitch Crawford.
Giants 1, Astros 3
-
Tejada
called strike, singles to LF
-
WIGGY!!!!
Is there a grocery store sign missing an L, or do you have more detail?
EDIT: Oh, never mind.
-
Wigginton
Takes the first pitch Crawford.
Giants 1, Astros 3
That homer was OVER the boxes on to the concourse.
-
can a wiggy fanclub presence
be far behind at mmpus?
-
Berkman
ball, ball, ball, called strike, ball
-
That homer was OVER the boxes on to the concourse.
Picky, picky...
-
can a wiggy fanclub presence
be far behind at mmpus?
Limey should be all over this, I tell ya'.

Anybody flipping to the Olympics and is anybody actively avoiding spoilers?
-
Anybody flipping to the Olympics and is anybody actively avoiding spoilers?
Actively avoiding spoilers. Fucking NBC doesn't think the west coast needs to watch anything live.
-
Loretta
ball, foul, swinging strike, foul, ball, rolls one to Bowker who tosses to Sadler. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd.
-
Actively avoiding spoilers. Fucking NBC doesn't think the west coast needs to watch anything live.
The NBC decision is a little odd. It's not like the west coast doesn't work in live events in different timezones all the time.
Mums the word from me on results.
-
Pence
called strike, foul, swinging K. Looked bad on that swing, bad. Nothing new.
-

Mums the word from me on results.
The worst part is the broadcast still has that little "LIVE" in the corner - even though it's 3 hours delayed. It seriously pisses me off. Plus, all the live stuff doesn't start until the 10pm est / 7 pm pst hour anyway, so it would be easy enough to do the same broadcast on both coasts. Forget access hollywood for a couple of weeks.
-
Erstad comes in to play LF, batting in the 9 spot. Wigginton moves to 3B. Valverde in to pitch, batting in the 5 hole. Loretta out of the game.
Lewis
called strike, foul, ball, called strike. 1 out.
-
Molina
foul, foul, ball, foul, grounds out 5-3. 2 outs.
-
Limey should be all over this, I tell ya'.
Don't make me snooty. You wouldn't like me when I'm snooty.
But, as regards soccer hooligans, as it is with anything European, you need to consult EuroTrip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxR-bdoP57c).
-
PONCHE!!!
-
Back to .500, baby!
-
Rowand
ball, foul, foul, ball, swinging K.
Final Score Giants 1, Astros 3
Astros back to .500 on the season.
-
.500, finally. Good job by Backe bouncing back and how about Wiggy!
-

Super game by Wigginton.

Wiggy had a big night.

Just want you to make an extra buck, so you'll be more inclined to act American and buy a round for us regular folks....apologies for lame employment of stereotypical Englishman joke.
Besides, think of it, sir--a chance to redirect those annoying stick horse cowboys into coming up with cheers that might insult the Germans, in the process perhaps making them cry!

Penche?
Don't Penche me, I'll Penche you right back.

Shit, Limey, I'm off to Blockbuster. Thanks.
