Seems like I picked the wrong week to go to South Padre Island for a mini-vacation. Plan B in full effect now!

Thankfully I only know about this, didn't need to put it into effect. I live in Cedar Rapids though and the devastation is pretty thorough downtown.

Is that the town that has an island in the middle of the river that the courthouse sits on? If so, I been they.

If the storm surge comes, you can dump the bleach out of the bottles and use them for flotation.

Indeed it is. Hubris is what I call it, and Nemesis is what happened in June. July is starting to be unkind as well. 4.5 inches of rain over the past three days. The Cedar River is up noticeably though not yet to anything exceptional. It's thundering as I type this though....
