We have never played this team as well as we should have.
Starting now, things will change.

We have never played this team as well as we should have.
Starting now, things will change.
based on recent history, a "change" would be no 10-run ranger beatdowns this weekend. here's to not embarrassing ourselves.
-
Did I miss it or was there no Tejada music?
-
knuckler befuddled Matsui
-
knuckler befuddled Matsui
And Young almost got caught loafing.
-
knuckler befuddled Matsui
And cost Chacon an unearned run.

We have never played this team as well as we should have.
Starting now, things will change.
*sigh*
-
And cost Chacon an unearned run.
Rangers knocking the crap out of the ball is what cost him a run.
-
I hate when they have to play in Arlington. I hate Arlington period.
-
Rangers knocking the crap out of the ball is what cost him a run.
Eggszactly!
-
Dayum. These guys are locked in. Come on Shawn.
-
Fuck, a meat pitch. 3-0 Rangers
-
Dayum. These guys are locked in. Come on Shawn.
control is an issue early
-
Gonna be a loooong night. Damn, what a track meet.
-
That last out was the only easy out of the inning (sans the error).
-
We have never played this team as well as we should have.
Starting now, things will change.
nice work.
-
Chacon got slapped around that inning. Luckily it only cost him three runs.
-
I know the guys like battling back...but must we do it every night? Give us a boring win for a change!
-
Alright girls, buckle up.
-
What a pickup Erstad's been.
-
What a pickup Erstad's been.
A-fuckin-greed.
-
Alright girls, buckle up.
Well, they are playing American League rules, may as well play American League baseball and have an American League score.
-
Good job moving the runner over by Ty. Wish he'd heat up a bit.
-
What a pickup Erstad's been.
Just remember that when he goes 0-8 and people like Pallilo want him cut.
-
Good at-bat by Bourn.
-
Towles is rolling over on everything.
-
Just remember that when he goes 0-8 and people like Pallilo want him cut.
Yeah, as soon as he reads some minor league stats to find that player the Astros should call up to take his place. Two words: Ben Zobrist.

Ran that one into the ground so much I had to quit listening for a long time.
-
Towles is rolling over on everything.
Just wait until he goes 0h-fer... wait... nevermind. Pallilo can only playah hate one at a time.
-
Just wait until he goes 0h-fer... wait... nevermind. Pallilo can only playah hate one at a time.
No, he was hating Everett and Ausmus all last season long.
-
BTW - did y'all catch what Brownie and JD said about the Bourn move? "This game and *maybe* for the rest of the weekend... then Cooper will re-evaluate whether to leave him there" - Brownie. "This is a move to take pressure off of Michael for a weekend, let him relax" - JD.
Eggszactly!
"Screw you Pallilo!" - Me.
-
...and Ausmus all last season long.
He wanted JR Towles called up from AA. Hmmmmm....

Good to hear. I'm stuck with Josh Lewin's lisp.
-
He wanted JR Towles called up from AA. Hmmmmm....
yeah, but he had a great Sept., so its irrelevant how he is doing now, at the time he was right.

What have you done for me lately syndrome. And lately is 1 1/2 months.

My sarcasm meter fell off the table!

It wasn't just Zobrist. CP has obssessed about Burke, Pence, Hirsch and Towles, too. He's relentless.
-
My sarcasm meter fell off the table!
glad to know its on vibrate.
-
Chacon's no-decision run is interesting. It ties...
Dick Stigman was my first baseball card ever. 1961 issue. It was dropped into my Halloween bag in 1963 by someone who was obiously not a
baseball fan. He played for the Indians in '61, but was with the Twins in '63. I started collecting cards the next year. I got Nellie Fox in the first 5 pack that I actually bought, about six months later. That purchase cost me a nickel. At the time, Nellie, who I had never heard of, played for the Astros and looked, to me, like he was 100 years old. He was only 47 when he died, eleven years later. The '64 Pete Runnels card looked like he was 150 years old.
....to an 8 year old.
I started this in the top half of the first inning, got a phone call, two and a half innings later hit the save/send button.
-
It wasn't just Zobrist. CP has obssessed about Burke, Pence, Hirsch and Towles, too. He's relentless.
Since he does that almost religiously, I'm guessing where he grew up, there were no lawns and he longed for the grass that really was greener on the other side (of town). The key to help him with his obssesive behavior is take away his stat sheets. He'll be clueless after that. As clueless as clueless can be of course.

The Pence thing was just the worst. Super googolplex man love.

The Pence thing was just the worst. Super googolplex man love.
I thought Ponson's career was over a few years ago when he flamed out as a fat man and was stuck in aruba b/c of legal problems. What's he doing pitching well right now?

Charlie (who thinks he should be) in charge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Pallilo)
-
Well, THAT was an earned run.

The lap band solution really works!

Something about American League baseball that is just so... I don't know... hard to watch.
-
Something about American League baseball that is just so... I don't know... hard to watch.
I agree emphatically.
-
Chacon is waaayyy up in the zone tonight.
-
Something about American League baseball that is just so... I don't know... hard to watch.
Yeah, I guess I could watch NBA but...
-
There is also something to be said for getting into the groove of a game by playing in the field instead of just DH'ing. With Berkman on a streak like he is/was I'm not so sure I would have changed it up and put him at DH. (But I'm not getting paid the big bucks)
-
Something about away game baseball that is just so... I don't know... hard to listen to.
FIFM (A couple of games with Scully were fine, but 10 straight games of 'away feed' announcers are gonna drive me to drink... more).
-
Yeah, I guess I could watch NBA but...
I got the funniest look today (in San Antonio) when I told someone I didn't watch the Spurs game last night. For some reason, it's just not the same.
-
I hate the Rangers.
-
Well, THAT was an earned run.
So was that one...
-
Crap, 5-2
In other news, Jayson Werth has hit 3 homers, and he's on deck in Philly.
-
Salty crushed that one! I'm surprised Shawn Chacon has only allowed five runs... he's pitching like a man who should be behind 10-2 right now. It's still early though. If I'm Cooper, I fight the urge to use a reliever to rescue him if he can't get out of this inning. Let him take this for the team.
-
That HR sucks, but at least this year, 3 runs down doesn't seem a million light years away.
-
I hate the Rangers.
They bug me, man. They bug me.
-
That HR sucks, but at least this year, 3 runs down doesn't seem a million light years away.
*sigh*
Are you trying to be Limey tonight? Watch, now someone is going to get hurt.
-
Charlie (who thinks he should be) in charge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Pallilo)
i was at a rockets game some time in the early 90's and he was the fill-in public address announcer. the crowd began to boo after a questionable turnover that went against the rockets, and pallillo stated "it was" into the PA with his trademark snarkiness. i have never before or since heard a PA announcer anywhere editorialize like that, much less in a way that demeans the hometown fans.
-
*sigh*
Are you trying to be Limey tonight? Watch, now someone is going to get hurt.
Optimism born on the wings of Friday happy hour.
-
Just how much is Jayson Werth?
-

And if anyone had challenged him, his modus operandi is to pull out a stat sheet and beat you down with numbers. He'll come after you with number after number until you cry uncle... or laugh and realize this guy doesn't know anything without a stat in front of him to tell him what to think.
-
Crap, 5-2
In other news, Jayson Werth has hit 3 homers, and he's on deck in Philly.
Yeah, my son is pissed. He has him on his fantasy team and benched him today.
-
That HR sucks, but at least this year, 3 runs down doesn't seem a million light years away.
Thanks a lot!
-
Just how much is Jayson Werth?
Wonder if Philly phans booed him after fouling out in the 7th?
-
Noe...you were saying something about 10 runs I believe, someones listening (and I'm afraid he's wearing red)
-
Optimism born on the wings of Friday happy hour.
Understood. But Chacon isn't worth crap tonight, so your optimism is misquided in those terms.
-
That HR sucks, but at least this year, 3 runs down doesn't seem a million light years away.
Stop.
-
That's it for Chacon.
-
That HR sucks, but at least this year, 3 runs down doesn't seem a million light years away.
Just stop it. for the love of god, stop.
-
Just stop it. for the love of the BBGs, stop.
FIFY
-
Noe...you were saying something about 10 runs I believe, someones listening (and I'm afraid he's wearing red)
Shawn is lucky only 5 of the runs he's allowed are earned, because in my book... he should be down by 20 runs the way he was throwing batting practice at the hitters tonight. Some one send Chacon a wake up call and alert him that this is American League baseball and hitters love to take batting practice... during the game!
-
And he's replaced by Bork...which means the Rangers are guaranteed another 8 runs.
-
And he's replaced by Bork...which means the Rangers are guaranteed another 8 runs.
WTF?
-
NOOOOOOOO
-
Yeah, my son is pissed. He has him on his fantasy team and benched him today.
Benched him against a lefty starter? Why?
-
Sorry, I had a flashback.
-
And he's replaced by Bork...which means the Rangers are guaranteed another 8 runs.
Seriously, you gonna pull out Limey's muppets pictures too - the hole is deep enough already
-
Damnit Lee... stop trying to kill another shortstop you freak!
-
Benched him against a lefty starter? Why?
WFW
-
NOOOOOOOO
Luckily, the BBGs took their wrath out on us via the four runs and not on Tejada's kneecaps.
-
WFW
Really. He rakes against lefties, very ordinary against righties.
-
Awww, Ponson made a boo-boo. Time to start chipping away at the no-decision.
-
Benched him against a lefty starter? Why?
I don't know. Didn't ask him. Lemme see.....
ok, I got the story. He traded for him and didn't have time to add him to the lineup before the game started so he had to sit him.
Don't know why he originally told me that he benched him. This is his first year to ever do a fantasy team. He's 14.
-
Error on Ponson? Bourn can't catch a break right now.
-
Wild pitch saved a DP on that one.
-
chip, chip, chip.
-
chip, chip, chip.
To my Lou.
-
Well, shit. I was worried that we were getting a bit of the big head today, so I came home and cut the grass and edged the yard. Came in and turned on the game just in time to see Hamilton go yard and make it 4-2. No problem says I, so I go upstairs and take a shower, and when I come down it's 8-2!
Oh well, now it's 8-4, and the Astros still have 14 outs to go.
-
Wild pitch saved a DP on that one.
Not the most nimble catcher back there. 6-4, 235.
Catchers are supposed to be short, squatty dudes.
-
Chipping away....Tejada rocks.
-
Woo-freakin-hoo, now that's baseball. Hit and run baby, hit and run!
-
In other baseball news, the Longhorns are beating the Aggies 5-1 in the top of the ninth.
-
Tying run at the plate.
-
Did JD just say you could get a "stiffy" bobble head of Oswalt, or did my ears deceive me?
-
Why in the world did he send Lee?
-
They got a perfect carum on that one to get Lee at home
-
Whoa! Almost tied it. Lee has good quickness, but is a slug going for 270'
Erstad be hackin'
-
They should have held Lee but I'm not complaining. wow! What an inning!
-
Why in the world did he send Lee?
That was maybe the luckiest carum I've ever seen. The ball shot out of the corner like it came out of a cannon, right into Bradley's bare hand.
-
They got a perfect carum on that one to get Lee at home
Yeah, but the carom happened in plenty of time to stop Lee. He should not have been sent. Ponson was bleeding out there.
-
Average Rangers fan probably thinks that what the Astros did isn't real baseball - they didn't even hit a home run!
-
Gotta think Salty was about to piss himself there as he saw Lee barreling towards him at full speed.
-
Gotta think Salty was about to piss himself there as he saw Lee barreling towards him at full speed.
Just for once, can fate put one of the other team's players in front of that freight train.
-
Gotta think Salty was about to piss himself there as he saw Lee barreling towards him at full speed.
Salty didn't budge when Lee hit him.
-
They should have held Lee but I'm not complaining.
You can lead a horse to water but it's hard to stop a train
-
Salty was looking in the upper tank on that whiff.
-
Salty didn't budge when Lee hit him.
Lee didn't hit him, Lee swung his purse at him.
-
Salty didn't budge when Lee hit at him.
FIFY. Dear in the headlights. [In all fairness,, Salty held his ground there in fine fashion.]
-
El Caballo could fuck somebody up if it's a closer play

El Caballo could fuck somebody up if it's a closer play
Coming from second, he would be a beast. That extra 90' put him in granny gear.
-
Coming from second, he would be a beast. That extra 90' put him in granny gear.
Know thy runner, Mr Romero
-
"Kinsler, nice catch. Don't ever fucking do it again."
-
Bourn was due. Let's see if Salty can throw.
-
Yes. Bourn catches a break.
-
"Kinsler, nice catch. Don't ever fucking do it again."
You read my freakin' mind.
-
Damn, JR just missed that.
-
Damn, JR just missed that.
Poor freakin JR. He knocked the shit out of that ball.
-
Damn, JR just missed that.
Just barely.
-
And another ND for Chacon. SWEET!
-
Tie game! RBI single Matsui.
-
Kaz makes him pay.
-
Mr. No Decision has the record.
-
BONZAI! BONZAI! BONZAI Danielson!
-
How many fastballs was Francisco going to serve up to Kaz? wow...
-
And another ND for Chacon. SWEET!
I knew they could do it.
-
Nice at bat, Kaz.
-
FUN-DA-MENTAL
Lot's of speed still on the bags..
-
Pretty shitty excuse-me swing to end the inning with 2 on.
-
Cooper's lineup manufactures a run. Nicely done Skip!
-
Worst swing this year by Tejeda. Time for pitching to step up.
-
Nice at bat, Kaz.
Good man.
-
Hey look... Hamilton is 3 fer 3 with two homers!
-
Pretty shitty excuse-me swing to end the inning with 2 on.
I didn't realize it was two strikes. Looked like a 'swing to mess with the catcher while Kaz steals' swing.
-
Pretty shitty excuse-me swing to end the inning with 2 on.
Just trying to avoid having a chair thrown at him by Francisco later had he knocked in the go ahead run.
-
It's really amazing how many runs this team scores with 2 outs.
-
Coach, I don't know if you're a part of the GZ tonight, but Towle's body language seems to be improving at the plate. I was impressed with that last AB personally. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to hang up and listen, because I have hit the Shiner 99 a little hard this evening, and I swore not to post drunk anymore. This latest 99 I have in hand will push me past my limit, but man I think I'm seeing better swings out of Towles, and I hope this is not just wishful thinking on my part. It may well be though...
Goodnight guys and gals, enjoy this game, I know I will.
-
Hey look... Hamilton is 3 fer 3 with two homers!
TWO? I thought he had 3? What a slacker! He's not Worth nuttin'.
-
Nice job by Borkowski.
-
just started the game, only 1-0 rangers so far.
interesting reading though.
anyone have a secret to using cam-bolt-locks. fucking things have totally pissed me off.
-
I was out of the room and as I stepped back in JD said something about not knowing if Nieve was there yet. Did they DL Geary and call up Nieve?
-

For furniture assembly?

yes a damm bookshelf.
-
Yep.
Got outdrawn there JD. Glad to know my gunslingin' skills haven't left me entirely after a decade out of Texas.
-
Nice job by Borkowski.
Indeed, he answered the call tonight
-
Defense?
-
crap crap crap
-
Crap squared.
-
What has happened to the defense the last few games? Ugh.
-
Bradley reaching out for Tejada, that was bullshit.
-
C'mon Wright.
-
yes a damm bookshelf.
The first thing I do is take the cam out and the put the pin in and make sure that it's adjusted to the proper depth. Sometimes when it's screwed in to the other piece it winds up pulled up too tight or not tight enough. If that looks ok, the next thing is to make sure that the cam is all the way into its hole.
-
C'mon, defense. An AL park is no excuse for AL defense.
-
Bradley reaching out for Tejada, that was bullshit.
Funny thing is, Tejada could have reached next to him and tagged Bradley out, he wasn't on the bag for about 5 seconds.
-

I re-read that and realized that first sentence wasn't very clear. What I meant was assemble the pieces as if the cam were present, and then see where the pin (more specifically, the notch in the head of the pin) winds up in the cam housing.
-
Tejada's just rusty. Give 'em a day.
-
Whew. One more to go.
-
I was afraid somebody was going to step on the bat and sprain an ankle.
-
yes a damm bookshelf.
Take it back and cough up the ca$h for $olid wood.
-
SPAZ!!!!!
-
PENCE!!!

You trying to hijack the GZ?
What a freaking catch by Hunter Pence!!
-
There's some D!!
-
PENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
Thank you Thunder Pants!!
-
Pence!!!
-
Can we give him the ! back yet?
-
Spaz is the man!
-
hp
-
Wright shows a heck of a lot of composure for a 15-year-old.
Is that ThunderPants girlfriend sitting next to his mother?
-
!!!
-
Nice job of hanging in there by "the kid" - would have been easy to melt down after the fielding errors
-
Gotta hand it to The Kid too. WW's got icewater in his veins.
-
hp
Way to play it safe.
-
Wright is just a cool cucumber out there, no matter what.
He impresses me every time he is out there.
-
You trying to hijack the GZ?
Just trying to make BudGirl happy. After all, when BudGirl's happy, everybody's happy.
-
Is that ThunderPants girlfriend sitting next to his mother?
If that was my GF, I'll be thunderpants too.
-
Pence outran the infielders to the dugout.
-
Man - I love the video of Pence & Bourn running in from right field. All smiles and Hi-5s.
-
Someone with the Dodgers has to be kicking himself for letting Wright get away.
-
Can we give him the ! back yet?
I hereby grant 1 "!" in honor of that catch.
-
Man - I love the video of Pence & Bourn running in from right field. All smiles and Hi-5s.
They just showed that on the Rangers feed too. Love seeing the kids enjoying themselves out there.
-
Someone with the Dodgers has to be kicking himself for letting Wright get away.
After losing a fair share of talent to Rule 5, it's nice to get something out of somebody else's cookie jar.
-
If that was my GF, I'll be thunderpants too.
Yes. The sliding glass door thing is beginning to make more sense.
-
I hereby grant 1 "!" in honor of that catch.
PENCE!
(just wanted to give it a test run, you know now that its official and all)
-
Take it back and cough up the ca$h for $olid wood.
My daddy made one of mine, he doesn't make them for me anymore.
I have all but the top put together. It doesn't help that I suck at assembling things. My cousin is coming by tonight, I'll make him finish it for me.
-
Damn. Very Pence'esque play out there in right.
-
Who says the boot doesn't mean anything?
-
You trying to hijack the GZ?
What a freaking catch by Hunter Pence!!
Back off bitch.
-
Bah. Come on Berkman.
-
Long jog back to the dugout, Lance.
-
Puma baserunning, non-2008 version.
-
Back off bitch.
REEEEEEOOOOOWWWWWWW!!! CAT FIGHT!!!!! Sorry ladies, I couldn't resist.
-
Damn. Very Pence'esque play out there in right.
Murphy (local kid) is a natural CF
-
Quicker to 2nd than back to 1st.
-
Walls, sliding glass doors, what next? His girl is hazardous to his health.
-
Quicker to 2nd than back to 1st.
Like a Puma - all forward speed. Backing up, not so much
-
Game break guy on the Rangers feed is a muppet. I've never seen anyone look like that.
-
For the record, tonight's poll question has demonstrated that 40% of the population are learning-impaired.
-
Salty = Sheffield with the bat motion before the pitch.

Amen

Game break guy on the Rangers feed is a muppet. I've never seen anyone look like that.
I think the Muppets would take offense at that.
-
Damn!! Almost got'em.
-
Kinsler was safe, and Coop got tossed.
-
shit, that call could have gone either way. We got the bad side of that one.
-
Angel fuckin Hernandez, what an asswipe.
-
Nice to see that Hernandez is still an asshole.
-
shit, that call could have gone either way. We got the bad side of that one.
The slowmo replay looked like it was the correct call though.
-
If Towles hadn't talen all day to swipe the tag, he might have gotten the call.
Hamilton is fucking unreal.
-
Darnit. Hamilton is just verrah good.
-
Fuck!!! I'm bad luck when drunk. I'm outta here. SHITFUCK!!
-
Angel fucking Hernandez is a fucking crew chief?
-
There's no way the Stros are coming back now.
-
what inning?
-
Ok, I'm convinced. No need to pitch to Hamilton anymore.
-
There's no way the Stros are coming back now.
This game is fucking over.
-
Hamilton is fucking unreal.
I hate him. I don't care how heart warming his redemption story is. Right now I hate him.
-
There's no way the Stros are coming back now.
We're dooooooooomed!
-
what inning?
Bot 7th
-
wow, i might catch up to you all.

Nice to see that Hernandez is still an asshole.
could not have been better said. didnt we have an issue with him in anaheim last year?
-
could not have been better said. didnt we have an issue with him in anaheim last year?
We've had an 'issue' with him in every fuckin game he umpires.
-
could not have been better said. didnt we have an issue with him in anaheim last year?
We have issues with Hernandez whenever he's on the same field.
Cavs just took down the Celts. Game 7 coming up.
-
this year's team + taking neighborhood walks with your 3 month old daughter = time travel
10-8???
-
could not have been better said. didnt we have an issue with him in anaheim last year?
.
How 'bout every freaking Astros game he calls.
-
Walkin' Ben-Wa
-
could not have been better said. didnt we have an issue with him in anaheim last year?
He was being a shithead to Wandy.
-
What's with Salty getting down on one knee to take the pitch every once in a while?
-
What's with Salty getting down on one knee to take the pitch every once in a while?
Manny Sanguillen style. Damn, that dated me.

Wigginton is having a Gawd Awful year at the plate.

He about broke his thumb, and then his rib.
-
Oh well, top o' the order in the 9th against lefty CJ Wilson.
-
Look, people we are NOT out of this game yet. This TEAM can still win. If they haven't proven that to you yet, you haven't been watching. We can do this, will we, i don't know, but we can.
-
nevermind, sorry.

You just fell into the sarchasm.
-
I seriously hate the Rangers so much.
-
What's with Salty getting down on one knee to take the pitch every once in a while?
The advantage of having the hometown broadcast is JD, he explained it's so he can present a lower target.
-
What's Chase Field? Philly?
-
What's Chase Field? Philly?
That's Chase Utley.

Yeah, he said that about 2 minutes after I posted.
Villareal...
-
Villareal is not making a good case for more innings.
-
What's Chase Field? Philly?
Formerly The BOB. Philly is Citizens Bank Ballpark.
-
Horizontal he aint.
And nimble as a sequoia.

Ahh, ok. I forgot that Chase bought Bank One.
-
what the fuck was that?
-
And nimble as a sequoia.
Sort of like our catcher.
-
Sort of like our catcher.
Not even close.
-
Well...this is getting ugly. Not helping my mood. Need a beer. Or a nice stop by Matsui! Or both...
-
what the fuck was that?
error #4 i believe... (7 unearned runs tonight total)
Great play by Matsui.
-
what the fuck was that?
redundant, meaningless, and frustrating given the context
-
In other games, Round Rock wins 5-4. Josh Muecke gets the win (6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER) Ray Sadler had a great first game at AAA (first AB launched a line drive homer, tied game in 2nd)
-
I'm outta here, I feel like I've jinxed us, I must NOT POST DRUNK.
-
Make it a 6 pack.
-
hate
rangers
-
Hey Oscar. Try throwing left handed, geez.
-
Make it a 6 pack.
crying yard
-
Not even close.
True. That was very nimble. Just not very effective.
-
Goodbye, and good luck.
-
Now its 6
-
Yall know Villareal is signed for 2 years right.
-
Oh my lord.
-
Now its 6

Batting practice. Over under on a ball up and in?
-
are people going to stop bitching about borkowski and start bitching about oscar?
-
True. That was very nimble. Just not very effective.
Well if youre talking about the play at the plate, I disagree. The throw was late and up the 1b line. Pence loads up so much it takes extra time.
-

11 HRs in 23 innings (I think). Yeah, maybe...
ETA: 10 Hrs in 22 innings.
-
The Little Ballpark of Horrors. Doesn't matter how good the Astros are or how bad the Rangers are, bad things happen to the Astros here.
-
Villarreal: now 10 homers allowed in 22 innings.

No, I was referring to Towles' dance on the popup around the plate.
-

Yeah, he got turned around.
-
Total meltdown.
-
sounds like i'm going to need another drink.
-
they've doubled us up. how dissapointing.
5 errors tonight. Don't think we are leading the league in fielding percentage anymore.
-
Total meltdown.
Yep. 17 hits against and 4 errors so far this game. Disappointing after coming back 6 down again.
-
sounds like i'm going to need another drink.
Drink one for me.
-
Just caught up to live tv on the dvr.
Fuck the fucking rangers.
-
this recap is going to suck to write.
-
Rangers have some good looking young hitters.
-
JD: "Need to return the kick-off for a touchdown". Yup, and then go for 2.
-
ranger hitters always seem to look good against Astro pitching.

Oh, man, I forgot it was your night. Drink 2 or 3 for me.
-
I hate the stupid "Silver Boot" shit that says when the series is tied 3-3, whoever scores more runs wins, since the Astros seem to have a game like this every year against the Rangers.
-
It seemed to me that there were a lot of grooved pitches by the Astros, too.
-

Shawn and Oscar were sure in the groove.

Let me put it another way, Astros pitching sucked tonight.
-
Go get'em tomorrow.
-
Go get'em tomorrow.
Yup. Some games are not meant to be. Although I wouldn't bother to throw Hamilton a single strike tomorrow. Let's see how patient he is.
-
just getting back from the game
when i saw the play at the plate with towles, at first look (with astros vision mind you)..it appeared that he was out..of course they didnt show any replays in the stadium, but is the general consensus here that safe was the right call?

Dont know if it's the general consensus, but I observed 2 things about the play, Towles tagged the runner high, and he was safe. Also, Angel Hernandez is a certified, with papers, douche nozzle.

Thought he was out at first, but after the replays would agree with your assessment.
Also, Angel Hernandez is a certified, with papers, douche nozzle.
Hernandez is a friggin' assclown, douche nozzle is a bit too kind...
