Nice to see Roy going to the breaking stuff (effectively) early tonight.

Geez... 120 games this year is beginning to look optimistic. Did I just hear JD say that Wgginton was placed on the DL after all?
-
WOW. Three runs in the first inning. Hope the offense doesn't go into Operation Shutdown now.

Yeah, theyre calling up Newhan. Chuck reported that he saw Wigginton today with a large bandage on his hand, not unexpected, http://www.spikesnstars.com/forums/index.php?action=post;quote=189453;topic=105380.20;num_replies=35;sesc=3830ff7646688223f7455c775cf5aa2d

JD: "Interesting business model they have there in Florida: blow it up, build it up." Hilarious.
-
Hah! I was wondering what the hell Bourn was pointing at during the middle of a rundown.
-
Berkman with his 6th double. Last year he didn't get his 2nd double until June 5th
-
The juxtaposition of this inning with this lady from HP is just painful.
-
you guys can blame me. the Roy Inning seems to always happen right after I get home and turn on the game.
-
im not getting the game here..watching on stupid gameday..
whats wrong with roy?
-
Wow...the bottom fell out. A five run third after such a nice start is surprising. Sigh...
-

he threw a good pitch on the RBI single.
did stupid gameday show you how far that last HR traveled?
-
I am really concerned about Roy. Is he hiding an injury? Is his arm just dead? It's been the same song for each of his first 3 starts... Lots of runs, long balls, high pitch count early.
-

chakras jammed and he's breathing out of the wrong nostril.
-
that play right there is just typical of this season so far. aggggggggggarrrrrrh.

You'll know that Roy is injured when his arm falls off. Literally.

Didn't think his stuff looked that bad that inning - think JD said as much as well (and in fact his breaking stuff looked pretty good the first couple of innings). I'd normally just chalk it up to an 'Oswalt inning,' but based on his first two starts am not sure...
-
what. the. fuck.
something ain't right with Roy.
-
Well now this is just getting re-god-damn-diculous.
-
did stupid gameday show you how far that last HR traveled?
it didnt, was it hit hard?
and now it says he just gave up another
-
it was absolutely crushed. a towering shot to the train tracks.
OMG ANOTHER ONE!
-
I....I have no words. This is unreal.
-
I think you will see Mr Oswalt on the DL here soon.
-
Hanley Ramirez is going to be a rich motherfucker one day
-
aaaaaand a long out to deep center.
Get him outta there Coop.
-
He was rushing. I didnt see any leg whip, but his landing is off. It looks different. Couple pitches he aimed.

Indicative of?

Not a clue. He'll whip his leg when he's tired and trying to get more velocity. Didnt see that. He's also not shy to shut the game down when the mound is not to his liking and his front foot is sliding.

After his 6 inning no hit game in ST, this makes 5 rough starts in a row.
Something isn't right, be it the "dead arm" he complained of earlier or something else thats throwing his mechanics off.

Anything I say would be pointless speculation. But his delivery looks odd. He's twisting or dropping?

I will be surprised if he makes his next scheduled start. His ERA stands at 9.00 after 3 turns up. That's tells me enough to know that some thing is bothering him. And he did acknowledge the dead arm coming out of ST.
-
Anyone remember 2000?

I try not to speculate, I prefer to observe.

Sure, rough year in the new park.
-
I didn't think Oswalt's stuff looked that bad, his location was off maybe due to mechanics, but the ball is jumping out of the park big time.

Levine blogged that he heard some boos at MMP after the Nolasco HR. LINK. (http://blogs.chron.com/unofficialscorer/2008/04/well_these_didnt_hit_the_train.html) How in the hell could someone EVER boo Roy??? SHITHEADS!
Then a fourth, as Hanley Ramirez followed a hit by pitcher Ricky Nolasco with another homer near the same spot, and some boos came out at Minute Maid.
As his pitch count hit 85, he finally got out of the fourth inning, four home runs and eight runs into the night.
-
SHITHEADS!
oh yes.
-
the booers should be escorted out of the stadium and asked to never return. fucking unbelievable.
-

Disgruntled Rockets fans who couldn't get tickets to tonight's game against Phoenix?
-
oh yes.
Guess I understand better your fears better prior to Woody's last start against the Tigers (only been to MMP for 1 game - my live games are usually in Phoenix).

Yeah, Houston baseball observers are ignorant and viscious. Not to the standard of Philly fans, buts that's only because they dont understand baseball enough to know all the opportunities to boo.
-
The guy who pitched the Astros into the World Series and closed out Busch Stadium should never be booed in Houston. Unbelievable.
-
Couple of nice plays by Berkman tonight (including the 'concentrating on the ball while the broken bat flies over his head' play).

Brocail was the pulling guard on that 3 unassisted.

You mean "GotyourBacke?" not yet. Amezaga tried to run up out of the box to bunt and was called out. The hitting coach ran out and he got tossed.

That boy's going to hurt somebody one of these days.
-
That Jacobs guy has some power, huh.
-
what an ugly game...what the fuck is wrong with Roy?
-
see how Tejada was coming forward and scooping his glove on that grounder? That's what JD was talking about on the error when he let the ball play him, gotta keep your feet moving.
-
Only a bloop and and blast (and a bloop and a blast and a blast) away from taking this thing. GO 'STROS!

'preciate the details, thanks prav.

What was the situation with Wright? Gameday shows 22 pitches with only 7 for strikes.
