For those who care, DirecTV has the my20 feed on 667.
-
Really knocked the crap out of that one...
-
Fracas on the field between Pujols and Backe during BP?
Wonder what that was all about.
-
Anyone have any details on the "fracas" between Backe and Poo-Holes in the pre-game?

Pooholes slide on Towles last night.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bb/5688255.html
-
JD said several Astros were pissed about the slide last night, and PooHoles also called the Astros clubhouse last night to apologize. Backe apparently got in his grill about it during batting practice today.

I was shocked to find it there. I usually never get these games.

Is that for those that don't get the Houston locals? Because I'm in Houston and my20 is one of my local channels on DirecTV.

Yeah, out of towners.
-
Heads up play by Blum on the relay. That out at 3rd almost certainly saved a run.
Let's get'em back, boys.
-
BTW, on Dish Network it's on 453 tonight. I can't find an HD feed though. They seem to be using the alternate FSN channels a lot lately for the Astros.
-
A 2-0 count to Pence? The fuck is going on?
-
I was shocked to find it there. I usually never get these games.
All of them have been on one of these alternate channels so far. Maybe its a new thing since they left the channel 51 foil covered antenna.
-
Uh, Thunder, that looked like a strike from Fort Worth.
-

I just assumed I was getting them because of the free week of EI. I wasn't expecting to see the game tonight, so this is a pleasant surprise.
-
Berkman taking advantage of Loopy Looper. Good to see.
-
That is one hell of a mustache on that guy.
-
Mustache Dude is getting on TV every night. His mustache looks like an upside-down longhorn.

Who wants a mustache ride?!
-
If that pooholes slide into Towles happened at 2nd base it would be a lot bigger of a deal and LaRussa wouldn't be able to hide behind his excuse of "that's what we teach." Isn't Tony the same pussy who cries anytime a ball is thrown in the same zip code of one of his guys' heads?
-

i have it on 673.
-
I'm at work, so I'm stuck with Milo and Do-ray. Can anyone tell me if Sampson's up in the zone, or were they just hitting good pitches in the first?
-
i have it on 673.
Yeah, that is what I meant.

Who wants a mustache ride?!
That's one hellacious flavor saver.

He pitch was up to Duncan, the other hits were just well placed, not hit all that hard.
-
He pitch was up to Duncan, the other hits were just well placed, not hit all that hard.
Ok thanks, that makes me feel better.
-
Nice job Blum!
-
Great play by Blum.
-
Jeezus, Milo is just a wealth of information. He say he's just not sure that Sampson feels well. Ya think Milo? Fucking flu tends to do that to you.
-
Sweet play by Blum!
-
Geoff's had a few gems tonight.
-
Milo: "It's like as you watch Sampson, the harder he tries, the more lobor it's taking."
Holy christ, i'm gonna miss this shit when he finally hangs em up.
-
If this gets too painful to watch, the rockets will be destroying the sonics on fsn.
-
i have it on 673.
thanks for the tip.
-
Runs. This inning. Please.
-
Dammit, Thunder pants is struggling.
-
Is Braden Looper actually pitching this well, or are we making him look good?
-
Dammit, Thunder pants is struggling.
Well at least he has company in that department.
-
that was impressive. why do we make the other pitcher look like cy young?
-
This is painful to listen to.

Me personally, I could never hit the curve ball.

Am just catching back up to the game and was wondering why Sampson was pulled (and when)?

They just brought Moehler in this inning. I think Sampson was still a bit under the weather.

He had the flu yesterday and he couldnt keep the ball down. Or dinner.
-
Man, Tejada can hit.

On watching Moehler throw, looks like Sampson was contagious after all...

At work.

Thanks.

StL 4 HOU 1 - Top 6

I take it we can't get two hits in an inning to save our lives?
-
pravata can't lay off the duece.

I take it we can't get two hits in an inning to save our lives?
how'd you know?
-
Blum again!
-
Motherf'ing Blum!
-
Two hits in a INNING? We've got two hits in the game.
Scored on 1 hit, 2 sac flies.
-
pravata can't lay off the duece.
Didnt matter, hackin, takin, I was always wrong. The only hope I had was if it hit me. Take your base, dont mind if I do.

Sorry, prav. Just got out of a Scholarship banquet and saw no reply to the question earlier in the GZ. Shoulda checked NYCU.
-
Any idea what the delay is with the umpires?
-
What the deuce was that all about?
More Cardinal mueling and puking. The sign behind home plate was too white to suit the Candyass infielders.
-
Attaboy Lance. Solid rope there.
-
back to back doubles for pence/berkman. 4-2 cards
-
Here we go.
-
single for lee. 4-3 cards
-
Come on Tejada.
-
Here comes CoRussa.

Any idea what the delay is with the umpires?
There was a white sign on the scrolling panel behind the plate.

Here comes CoRussa.
Looper pulled.

There was a white sign on the scrolling panel behind the plate.
Thanks. That must be what caused the doubles.
-
That was a Crawford Box swing.
-
Fuck that asshole.
-
And that was a Crawford Street swing.

First homer of the year. He must've been due.

Thanks everyone for the PbP. Stupid-ass San Antonio isn't showing the game tonight. And I left my XM radio at work...screwed I am!
-
Towles extends the inning with a walk after going down 0-2 and chasing a bad curve. That's always nice.
-
Damn! Almost Tomas.
-
Time for Born to get a hit...
-
Please do something, Bourn. Something good.
-
Thank you.
-
Yes!!
-
RBI Double Bourn. Runners on 2nd and 3rd.
-
Sounds great! What's next?
Yes!!
-
Congratulations to the fans down there for exhibiting some awareness.
-
props to the residents of dumbass cove for thier constraint.
-
Bouncer down the 1b line past the Smirking Asshole. Bounced off the low wall, prudent fan holding his hands up, Shumaker played the caroom perfectly and Perez couldnt score. BIG AB for Spaz here,
-
props to the residents of dumbass cove for thier constraint.
Dumbass Cove is technically down the 3b line. No name yet for the right field cut out.

sharp move by Tejada on the 3-6-3
He stood there and sidearmed it. I'm liking that man.
-
God damn. That was not what I was hoping to see out of those 3 hitters.
-
Nice inning by Franklin, that fucker.
-
fuck
-
Backe should have dotted his eye.
-
I'm getting pretty tired of that man.
-
I'm getting pretty tired of that man.
I'm getting tired of seeing him get big fat juicy pitches.
-
Backe should have dotted his eye.
No idea why the Astros dont pitch in on this ass. Flusters him no end.
-
Very nice play by Tejada.
-
Was it as pretty as it sounded?
-
Was it as pretty as it sounded?
Not pretty, he stumbled to his right, fell to a knee came up and made a real strong throw going away. Tejada reminds me of Gene Kelly as opposed to Everett's Fred Astaire. Or a style of Kung Fu called "Drunken Man".
-
Very nice play by Tejada.
Yes it was. Glaus being slow as molasses helped.
-
Backe should have dotted his eye.
For some reason, this makes me think of a scene in Mighty Ducks where the crazy Nordic guy beats the shit out of someone and then coolly says "Two minutes well worth it."
I should probably stop drinking.
-
Was it as pretty as it sounded?
Whoooohooooowhoooooarhhhhwhooowhoooohoooo!
What about that sounds pretty? I'm assuming you're listening to Milo.
-
Need to add some numbers to Izzy's ERA.
-
Pinhead Point.
I thought it was Dumbass Cove and Idiot Point. If someone would ever update Funk and Wagner, we would know this kind of shit.
-
Was in the car on the way home from work and Milo was pissed that Perez was stopped at 3b on the Bourn double. Opinions?
-

He would have been dead meat. Perez, not Milo.
-

I think they probably would have thrown him out. I don't find much to argue with in the decision to hold him, even though my first thought was "uh oh, Pence is up next".
-
He would have been dead meat. Perez, not Milo.
Milo already is.
-
Whoooohooooowhoooooarhhhhwhooowhoooohoooo!

I was mostly referring to the obligatory non-Milo clean-up description that happens afterward. Suffice to say, Astros road games are a guilty pleasure.
Hello baserunner, let's get something going.
-
Wait, how can the runner stop at third on a triple?
-
Any chance anyone could mention the score or inning, or has everyone gone Milo?
-
Milo already is.
Milo needs to retire.
-
I think it's about time for a day off.
-

Ballgame, 6-4 loss.

Wait, how can the runner stop at third on a triple?
Sorry. Really tired. I thought double and typed triple.

6-4 Stl. game over.

Game Over, Astros lose 6-4. Pooholes with 2 bombs.

He would have been dead meat. Perez, not Milo.
Perez Flambeau
-
Sorry. Really tired. I thought double and typed triple.
I was just piling on. Actually, Bourn could have legged out a triple on that if there wasn't a runner. He took a wide turn at second.

True.

If anyone has a tape of the game I'd love to learn how Perez was running during Bourne's double. The RF got to the ball quickly but fell, and when I looked up expecting to see Windmill Romero generating some power over there I was shocked to see him hold Perez up. I ask how he was running because I noticed in ST that although Perez has an above average glove he is not a hustler. On a routine ground ball he'll make Carlos look like Jesse Owens. I'm wondering if he started out loafing expecting to make home easily.
Tejada's play might not have been graceful, but it was a beauty nevertheless. He Miggrated back behind 3B territory where you seldom see a SS roam. He somehow captured the ball back there and lept up firing. Glaus must have been doing the Tomas Perez shuffle down the line because Tejada's throw beat him by a step. Tejada chewed up some turf back where he fell and I spent a fair amount of time marveling at the distance between that spot and where he typically sets up for a RHB.
Finally, McTaggert reports that LaRussa "issued a warning to Towles prior to the incident between Pujols and Backe." What the fuck is that? Why should LaRussa be talking to an Astro at all much less "issuing a warning?"

La Russa scratches for every advantage he can find or invent. He's a typical bully and Towles was standing in the way of his golden boy. He's despicable. He's been a good manager, even though one of his teams was eaten up with illegal substances. He'll make the Hall of Fame but his day to day strategies are petty. He pays as much attention to the between game strategy as he does to the ingame. As for Perez, Schumaker was on the bounce. There was no way Perez could have scored, hustling or not.
-
Care to elaborate? Can't get radio here.
Yeah, his play at the hot corner last night was reminiscent of vintage Cammy. He even laced one to left field, but unfortunately it was right at the LF.
-

just ONE of his teams?

Thanks, everyone.
