Seems like that ***er is always pulling this kind of shit against Houston.

Changing from periods to asterisks?

It bothers me to go to Anaheim now, as he's the second negative thought that crosses my mind when I get off the plane, the first being, "The f'ing dodgers play near here."

i actually don't really have a problem with the dojers, for some reason. they're probably my favorite west coast team.

I hate the Dodgers, Giants and to a smaller degree the Padres.....just can't help it.  Throw the Braves in there to help explain it.  It's been bread into me like drinkin' and potato eatin' (kick me, I'm Irish).

I'm okay with the Athletics, now that LaGuiness ain't there, as well as the Mariners.  When the A's and M's get together, (insert ashram joke here).

How can you hate the Padres?

I went back and edited for further explanation.  I'm old and slow to let go of the old NL West Standings....that and the fact that those (0(# $U(&ERS cheated/stole/scammed/whatever that playoff series from us, compliments of the unbalanced playoff schedule that let Kevin on fire for Satan Brown pitch games 1 & 3.

I want Bocce Ball to rot in hell for that, too....even though he's connected to this organization in some random Kevin Bacon degrees sort of thing.

{Little angel just popped over my shoulder and asked, "Why the hate?"}

Hard to hate. But The Giants....always disgusting.

But yes the Kevin Brown thing..yes. That was deflating.

Why does Yorba Linda sound like an insufferably nice place with sub-alpine temps and
bluebirds and stuff...?

Was in the car briefly for a store run, listened to Milo and the gang. Drayton on the radio, trying to be waaay too friendly. This stuff is mostly paraphrased, but it's close to what was said.

Milo: So, you couldn't even be NOT busy on the off day, eh? (rather sarcastically)

Drayton: Yes, we had a very busy off day, we've got a lot of things going on, *blah blah blah* My good friend so-and-so is the Big Shot Something-Or-Other for Kroger, and he once told me, 'You can't ever be what you want to be if you don't change,' and I felt like he was right, and blah blah blah blah blah. Hey, Dave, did Milo tell you about his pen?

Dave: His...?

Milo: Yes, I've got a new pen.

Drayton: He's got a BEAUTIFUL new Mont Blanc pen, only the top CEOs of big-time corporations and companies have it, and now Milo's got is, and it does blah blah and hum hum ho hum, and you know, Milo, how when you get a new car, they get all this background information on you and run all sorts of checks on you?

Milo: Yeah...?

Drayton: Well, we had to do that for you, we had to fill out a whole bunch of paperwork and send it in, you know they check out people who buy these Mont Blanc pens, because they're very rare and it's a privilege to own them.

Milo: You had to fill out all that paperwork on me just to buy a pen, and they STILL let you buy it?!?

Nice little league mistake there by Miles, with Ankiel watching close by, to score Bidge.

Nice to see the bases loaded with Astros, no outs, and PENCE!! up to bat.

Line drive RF... scores OBTYN... Aus held up at 3rd... Burke slides into 2nd... let's get this inning started!!!

La Roossa out to the mound, looking rather constipated. That's not gouda for his team's morale.

Bruntlett singles near 1st, PENCE!! tagged out on the way to 2nd, Brunlett in at 1st, Aus scores, Burke to 3rd.

Final hit of the inning, Twinkie GDP to 3rd, guys out at 2nd and 1st.

Just showed the replay of that Edmonds catch in the 5th... I heard that on the radio and Milo was rather dazed at the time. Now I see why.

First time I've seen the catch by Anahiem Jimmy.  Didn't someone come in here a while back and insist that he would intentionally play shallow so he could get highlight reel plays and Web Gems by having to dive for everything?  I don't think he intended for that one to happen.

Yeah, he's slow.  I saw Jason Lane make that play in his back pocket about 2 weeks ago.
