As mentioned by Ty in his game summary, the replay and play by play by JD of the idiot who reached down to grab Berkman's hit was outstanding. I laughed my ass off--while standing there looking stupid for all the world to see, Bradley swipes the ball from him and then he and his pink Red Sox hat wearing girlfriend get tossed. It was a beautiful thing.

"Sorry," he says to the usher. What a dumbass.

The usher even tried to stop him before he grabbed the ball, and he couldn't stop himself. He reminded me of my cat at Christmas time: "Must... swat... ornament...", even as I spray her with the water bottle.

I was at the game, but on the other side of the stadium. I *thought* that MB snaked the ball from the idiot who touched the live ball, but wasnt sure. I didnt noticed the couple getting tossed from the game though, glad they did.
So what did JD say on the broadcast?

It was the "Sonic Good Replay" in the 6th. "No ball for you! No soup for you!"
-
Thanks.

his girl was looking around with a 'what's wrong' expression on her face.
I had a very good laugh at them. MB taking the baseball back was awesome

It was really a helluva pick by Bradley. Really deft. JD circled the jerk's hand holding the ball and then you see Bradley making the reach and taking it away. It appeared that the bonehead didn't even realize it was gone.
-
When it happened, the camera cut away to Berkman just as Bradley was reaching to get the ball. They didn't say much about it at the time but when they replayed it, they slammed him and showed the 2 empty seats. JD said he would have been thrown out, too.

Okay... this is too weird.
I went to astros.com to see if this clip was posted with the other highlights, which it wasn't. So just for shits and giggles while Lee's homerun was playing in the media player window, I clicked the 700k complete game archive link. And it started playing. Without prompting me to log in. Are mlbtv archives free now or something? Can anyone else test what I did to see if it works for them too?

It hasn't asked me to log in for the replays at all this season. I have a subscription and it always has me log in for the games but not the replays.

Worked for me.

The people at mlbtv are nihilists. But, the Alyson abides.

That's perfect.
I've always thought that people should have to pass an exam to be allowed to sit that close to the field. It would just be a few multiple-choice questions with maybe some role-playing thrown in. Instead of blooper highlights, between innings they can show clips of people failing the audition so we can point at them and laugh.
-
On the highlights, the actual play is at about the 1:22 mark.
The Sonic Good Replay is at 2:16:50.
-
Holy shit that was hilarious. Nice job by Bradley.

I saw that again while eating lunch; they had the replay of BBT on the big screen. As they were being escorted out, the guy behind me says "I bet getting ejected really impressed your girl, dumbfuck"
they had a highlight dot on the ball as MB grabbed it....
They ought to show that on the jumbotron before every game

That's why I love Milton Bradley. He is a nutjob, sure, but he is one of the few players in MLB who would have the presence of mind to snatch the ball out of some interfering shithead's hand. God bless that kook.
