Title: 2,997
Post by: Limey on June 28, 2007, 08:54:36 am
6/28 vs. Aaron Cook:  3-9 (.333) with a double and 2 walks.
6/29 vs. Josh Fogg:  8-33 (.242) with a double, 2 dingers and a walk
6/30 vs. Jeff Francis:  1-4 (.250)
7/1 vs. Rodrigo López:  1-4 (.250)

Based on those numbers, looks like Saturday night's the night.  I'm going on Friday, so I'm hoping for 1 or 2 hits tonight.

I am also going Friday night.  Had tickets for tonight, but wife is limiting my experience.  Will go on Sat. if necessary.

I'm set for today, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Hopefully the Astros will win one or more of those games while Mr. Biggio gets his 3,012th hit.

Limiting your experience?  I don't get this.

It means that I only have so many hall passes in a month.

May have just blagged a ticket for Saturday night too.  That guarantees a 3-hit night for Craiggers tonight.

I hope so, 'cause tonight is my only ticket.

what a night it would be for me.  Biggio getting the hit and Ausmus catching.  Somethings with this team are still great.

ACK!  My first trip to MMPUS is Sunday so I'm hoping for a Rockie pitch-fest the first 3 games, at least as far as Biggio is concerned.  Then a smackdown of Lopez by Biggio on Sunday.

My wife was one of those girls that did everything with me before we had our kids (7, 5, and 2.5).  I also go fishing at least 6 times a month and during hunting season I am gone every other weekend, so she actually is pretty cool giving me "my" time.

I guess my point was...I don't want to go tonight because I don't think Biggio will get it and I don't want to put the burden of watching the kids squarely on my wife’s back for 4 days straight.

Looks like I picked the wrong weekend to have my kid's baptism, I have 30 people coming in from out of town including my mother flying in from her vacation....

And I am not in Houston where I can disappear for a few hours and catch it!!!!

That's different.  You made it seem like she wasn't letting you go to the game.

I guess I did, sorry.  She actually encouraged me to go tonight, but I am holding out for the reasons stated above.

After 11 years, that is exactly how I feel.  Now enough of this mushy stuff.

I am very bummed about this. I am out of town tonight through wednesday on a trip to vancouver for my annniversary. I'm happy to be going on the trip- and that's more important to me then the biggio milestone (no it's not a "record"), but I think I've seen all non-work day games for the entire year and I'm not even going to get to watch it on tv unless he gets dinged or goes ice cold.  I'd planned on being there whenever it was- except for over my anniversary.

Still I'm hoping for him he gets 3 knocks tonight. I'd hate to come home on the 4th to him still chasing the milestone, as that would be bad for him (but probably good for drayton's bottom line).

Well plans change quickly around here.  Looks like after Fridays game me and a friend will be driving to Rock Springs to help another friend out with his floating dock, which at the time is hanging by a thread.  So much for the Central Texas drought.  So here is hoping Biggio gets two tonight and the 3000 on Friday.

Mrs. Arky will not be happy if she spends the next four nights home alone with Arky Jr. while Arky waits for 3,000.

I'm not going to try to make that argument.
