Also tied with the Gnats for second-worst record in the NL.

I'll start...

Who's projected as the #1 prospect in next year's draft?

Perhaps it is time to take drastic measures (http://break.com/index/new-japanese-baseball-pitch.html).

Fucker.  I'm still recovering from rushing this year's recap.

Quit your whining and get back to work.

Some of my HS baseball teammates used to screw around with that "delivery" in practice, but never actually tried it in a game for fear of the unholy retribution that would have assuredly flowed from our head coach shortly thereafter.

I'm not the one making the Bus Ride the only thing worth considering this year.  25 other guys you can blame for that.

By August, I'll probably try writing the recaps in iambic pentameter.

Bitch.  Early concensus is Pedro Alvarez, 3B from Vanderbilt.  That may change after the 08 college season.

Now, when is your next preview due?

If the Astros keep for this season, then offer arb to but don't sign Jennings, Lamb, and Loretta the Astros could end up with a shit load of 1st and 2nd rounders.  Nearly single-handedly restocking the farm system. And making for a massive 08 draft recap/Jacksonian headache.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Yes this has worked so well from the 05 Draft so far.

They had only 3 first, suppl, and second rounders from that draft.  If they do as I described they could end up with 4 first round picks and 3 suppl first round picks and their own second rounder.  Of course that also assumes other things as well, but I like thinking best case scenario with other people's jobs.

The Astros are currently tied with Washington for the 6th worse winning percentage in baseball.

That almost sounds like the A's "moneyball" draft.  I would hope we could do better than old Billy did.  That Catcher from Bama he was so hot about is still in AAA.

So, lets throw in the towel and tank the rest of the season.  Look to trade Jennings and Lidge and loose as many games as possible to set up the draft.  I like it.

What's even worse, Jim Molony noticed

Since May 31, the Astros have scored 130 runs, an average of 5.65 per game, the third-most in the Major Leagues during that span. Houston has scored eight or more runs seven times and five or more 14 times since then. Unfortunately for the Astros, this long-awaited offensive awakening has been undermined by a suddenly shaky bullpen, such that the Astros are only 11-12 during that span entering Monday night's game at Milwaukee.

Pass.  We're clearly overstocked at 3b.

So he's saying there's something to this pitching thing in baseball?

Jeremy Brown... when, I saw him play for Midland against Round Rock a few seasons back, he wasn't even the best catcher on his own RockHound team (John Baker).
