I hesitate to do this as I know the Astros trivia needs here are quite well taken care of by, uh, people who are not me. But I saw an interesting game on another baseball-related board I frequent so I thought I'd throw a modified version out for your perusal and/or ridicule.
Here be the rules: Name a player who played for the Astros plus two other specific MLB teams. For example, I post Rangers and Mets. Your job is to figure out a guy (like Nolan Ryan, for instance) who played for Houston, Texas, and the steM. Once you *know* you got it (no guesses or wagering, please), post the answer plus two more teams and the game moves on. Some combinations will obviously have multiple "correct" answers.
So we'll start with an easy one: Tigers, Padres.

Uhhh...anyone that played for the Astros during the 90s?

Sorry. I did mention that this is an **unofficial** trivia thread. ;)

Not surprisingly, you folks are proving to be much more argumentative than the place I stole borrowed this from. The way I saw it work was he had to PLAY (no coaches, no rights-were-owned-by) for a MLB (no minors) team. But hash it out if you wanna do it differently.

Dang, I've been working on this one for a while. Is there an answer? (If so, please don't give it... yet.) I don't know that there is someone who has played for every possible combination of two teams (plus Houston) but if folks can find combinations that are unsolvable they should get mucho bonus points IMO.

Taubensee was who I was going for. I'd forgotten that Swindell pitched for the Reds.
I know it's fantacrap, and second-guessing can be half the fun or else a horrible thing for decent folk to get involved with, and in any event it all happened long before I started following the 'Stros, but one of the books I read while I was on the shitter lately commented on what might have been had Houston fielded a Lofton-Biggio-Bagwell lineup in the 90s.

Ha, although I've been known to be a thread killer, I think in this case it was the Astros actually returning to playing baseball instead of frickin' rain/snow outs.
How many people in here never knew the A's were actually IN Philadelphia long ago?
