I find myself in D.C. for a few days next month and remember a few tips from this forum a few months back to one of our folks. If I can trouble you to reprise your dining and other recommendations I would be grateful. I plan to make Old Ebbit Grill a stop for sure. Will also be in Annapolis one night.

I went to the Holocaust museum on Sunday. Excellent, spent 3+ hours there.
If you want Capitol or White House tours, you need to contact your congress person in advance to arrange them.
Also, the national cherry blossom festival is April 1-7.

My days as a Hoya are too long ago to remember much about the food (there really wasn't much good food there then-from a Louisiana perspective), but one of my favorite bars in the world is the Tune Inn, at 331 1/2 Pennsylvania S.E. I also spent plenty of time at the Dubliner and Irish Times near Georgetown Law School (which is not near Georgetown), and Hawk & Dove and Bullfeathers on the hill. Ruth's Chris Steak House was on Connecticut Ave., N.W.
Have fun!

There's a good restaurant/brewpub/music club in Annapolis called the Rams Head. A few doors down is a good Irish pub. Not surprisingly, I don't remember its name, but all the guys are my great friends and all the girls are very beautiful.

Had a chance to eat at the Rams Head a few months ago, definitely recommended.
