Diaz and Chirinos with dingers. Bottom of the order leading the way again. 3-0 in the 2nd.
-
And after being spotted a 3-run lead Peacock immediately walks the leadoff hitter on four pitches
-
Walk, single, and runner tags and moves to 2B on a pop-up to SS. Tigers on 2B and 3B...two out
-
Game is on ESPN.
They cut away to carry the Ohtani plate appearance in the middle of that inning.
No inset, no update, nothing.
Back to Detroit for the popup and the K.
Now back to Anaheim.
F ESPN.

It's only on espn because the Philly-Brewers game is in a rain delay.
-
I'm getting the Brewers and Phillies on ESPN. Astros are on their regular ATTsports.
-
Peacock again walks the leadoff hitter.
-
Tyler White should be in Round Rock.
-
After using McHugh and Devo yesterday, who's the long guy today? Because Peacock is going to need help.
-
James?
Peacock can buckle down and make six.
-
White's days are numbered.

No options left.

He would have no problems getting through waivers.
-
This HPU is very confusing.
-
Strom with the assist.

Peacock not making it easy for him, but yeah, that was five strikes to Goodrum.
-
This Tigers pitcher went to my high school.
-
Nice 5th from Brad.
And nice play to get the glacial Cabrera by Díaz.
-

There are a few woeful clubs out there that would welcome him.

Man, Correa almost killed that shortstop.
-
And Gurriel tried to finish the job.
-
Jake day!

Called it.

Yesterday's performance notwithstanding, and his overall numbers notwithstanding, and with nothing else at all standing, Bregman's swing still looks a little funny to me. Getting under all these hittable lower pitches and flipping them up.

He is slugging .318.

That’s good for #6 on the Orioles among qualifying players.

You are looking in the wrong column. He is next to last and well behind Chris Davis.
-
I can't believe that there are people who would argue that another major league team would commit to putting White on their 25 man roster.
-
I can't imagine that White is still on this team come Memorial Day.
-
Although Chris Carter found work post-Astro. Of course he could be relied on to hit a home run more than every couple of months or so.
-
Nobody on earth could hit the pitch that Pressly just struck that guy out with.

You’re right - for some reason, MLB app only shows 5 guys when sorted by slugging.
For the record, I’m not concerned about losing Tyler. My point is that a really shitty team might claim him. This isn’t a hot take. One of the best clubs in the majors continues to give him at bats for some reason.

White has typically rewarded their patience.
Sure looks at this point however like the dude pressed the off button over the winter.
-
KC, Miami, Detroit, someone shitty like that could claim him. But if he’s bad enough to DFA he’s not good enough to worry about losing.
-
Crap. Hit Jake on the elbow with a heater.
-
Bregxit strategy.

If nothing else, he seems to lack self-awareness. He should look around the clubhouse and see that all the contributing players on the team don’t have an issue seeing their own dick without the help of
a mirror. He’s always been marginal on a very competitive team, and that apparently doesn’t seem to help him grasp that he should work hard enough not to show up in worse shape than he did in previous years when he was a minor contributor.
-
Nice catch to seal it.

Yep, agree. He is popping up a lot of pitches he should drive.

He has a tendency to drop his back shoulder.

I agree.
But it sure is nice that he's having clear issues at the plate and still producing as one of the top 10 players in the league.

It may be a simple mechanical flaw like rolling his top hand under the ball which he will soon correct. He is not getting on top of pitches above the belt, and that is a top hand issue. He also could be too much in love with launch angle and homers. I agree totally with your conclusion. We have watched him become a 3-hole hitter star.

Robbing Goodrum twice was an indirect payback for Goodrum kneeing George's buddy Marwin in the head a couple of days ago.

Right.
