I love the Nolan Ryan radio ad about siding and windows, taking a shot at Pete Rose.

4-0 middle of 4.  No hitter warning is in effect.  Game nearly over.

4-0 Cards going into the bottom of 4th. Somebody named Hazelbaker hit a HR that was more than good luck. Astros looking for their first hit against Carlos Martinez who is a pretty good looking pitcher. Bregman leads off the 4th.

I know it's early but I can't help but feel this game is already out of reach...

A lot of us do. The Astros 2,3 and 4 hitters go down on six pitches in the 4th.

Reed and White are locked into a battle to see who can get sent down first.

8-1 now after a 3 run bomb off of Sipp.  (against a lefty)

Wow.  The complete of collapse of Keuchel and Sipp (perhaps our two most reliable pitchers this time last year) this season is really unexpected.

He has really been terrible this season.

Starting? She's already going hoarse, and now she's smashing her guitar over an amp Pete Townshend style...

He has really been terrible this season.

The drop off has been unbelievable.   And with 12 million invested in him for 2 more years I can't see them throwing in the towel.

Reed doubles off the wall.  Falls behind White.  Sounds like Gurriel might be first up anyways.  Better off replacing a righty with a righty

Any optimism for September?

Let's see September starts with 3 in Arlington, 4 in Cleveland, 3 at home to the Cubs, 3 at home to the Rangers, and then 4 on the road in Seattle.

Yeah. This Beuchele kid sounds like he may finally be the Longhorns' answer at QB.

He just made Gattis look like he was 9.

Don't quite get replacing Kemp with Gattis there.  Kemp is much better at getting on base than Gattis, especially against a right hander

Far less chance of a double play, too. It would be impossible for anyone to have an uglier ab than Gattis had. Brutal.

Everybody on the Astros 40-man roster will probably still be alive at the end of September. Probably.
Aside from that, I can't think of much...

Things have not worked out to plan this year. I did not think that they would be a .500 team, but here we are.

This is what Luhnow said back in late April or early May, when they were ten or so under: "They look like a .500 team."
