Wonder what was said.

Correa really fooled on that Strike 3 curve-ball. Poor swing.
Upon further review it was a slider.
-
I don't think Tropeano will fool them a second time.

Marwin was about to physically remove Pujols from the field while Albert whined for a replay.

No maybe about it. Altuve went to SS, double clutched, and Pujols was still clearly out.

One of the many reasons he was the worst everyday position player in the majors last year.

At least they hit Tropeano hard this inning. Baby steps.

6 of 9 have struck out. Is he pitching that great??
-
I need to look up the Astros offensive home/road hitting splits. Doesn't look like the same club at home.
-
6 of 9 have struck out. Is he pitching that great?? I'm not watching but it does make me happy at all.
He's getting his slider and curve over for strikes.
His FB looks mediocre.

He's pitching well but not THAT well.

Then walked the bases loaded (at least Correa and Reddick) and Bregman hit a bases clearing double.
3-0 good guys.

Springer flies out to the track in right on an 0-2 pitch
Altuve grounds out 6-3 on a close play
Correa walks on 4 pitches, giving us the first baserunner for either team

Gurriel digs in as Rivera visits the mound, takes a ball low, another outside, takes a strike on the corner, fouls the next one, then gets plunked on the wrist to load them up
Bregman takes a breaker low, another lower, then rips a FB into the LF corner, clearing the bases, and Bregman takes third as the cutoff throw headed to the plate, throw redirected to 3rd (safe).
Gonzalez pops out to 3rd

This team needs to get some basic baseball fundamentals down. They do a lot of bone headed things on the basepaths.

Question: How do you allow yourself to get picked off of first on a 3-0 count? Answer: Be a dumbass.

Especially when it was the fourth or fifth PO attempt of the at bat. It's not like it was a surprise.

Unbelievable.
Springer was the 4th straight hitter to go 3-0.
Want to get to 2nd? Wait for the pitcher to put you there for free.

Maybe Derek Fisher is a rich man's Glenn Barker.

Idiotic baserunning.

Springer's eyeroll said it all.

Springer has three warning track fly outs. Maybe he needs to lower his launch angle or increase his exit velocity.

I wonder if Altuve has hyper-active salivary glands. He spits as much as any player I can remember. He is so funny. I also like how sometimes out in the field when he has a runny nose, he will smash a nostril close with a finger and blow out the other one, then switches sides and finally wiping the excess effluvia one his pants.

Tags said it was a standard defensive switch, but Jake had a bat and was ready the inning prior. Either Fisher was hurt or benched for falling asleep on the pickoff.

Maybe the most telling thing about Fisher is that between Yuli and Bregman, Tropeano threw 6 straight breaking balls. Only after he went 2-0 did he dare throw a FB. And Bregman pounced.
Fisher, on the other hand, got 4 straight FB in his AB. Good that he drilled the 3-0 pitch (and had the green light, nice move by AJ); abysmal that he foolishly gave away an out to a guy who had thrown 1 strike that inning.
-
Did anyone else see Springer’s eye roll when Fisher got picked off?
-
Did anyone else see Springer’s eye roll when Fisher got picked off?
Rolling his eyes toward Fresno and hoping someone takes the hint.
-
I think that there was a partial eye roll. It seemed to me that Springer had a look of disappointment with a touch of disgust.
-
Marwin's deadpan in the dugout after Altuve's home run is an all time classic.
-
At Bat has clips of Altuve’s first home run, which was inside the park off Madbum, and of his first home run over the wall. The latter was off Charlie Morton.
